It was getting to a point where Shadow and I couldn't keep the thread incredibly active. Ah and now stunnero returns as well, all is well in the Megaverse. We can do this, we used to get 10 pages a day. lol I know I can't expect that kind of activity. Anyway let's at least try to approach 5000 today. Anyone know anything that we could do to generate a lot of posts, have fun, and still be decently on topic? Right now all I can think of would be an objection war but lets try something different. Shadow Zero Posted September 18, 2009 Report Share Posted September 18, 2009 meh. i was only able to do that seeing as i was the only one here for the longest timne and was getting majorly bored. but i don't think i would take it quite that far. but i would otherwise do all that i could to get thatm 5,00th post. but seriously, as much as i might like to have that post, i don't think that its worth ruining a relationship with a friend over. but i have an idea. as we all know, the first post in any thread is what the owner of the thread says at the start before anyone even thinks of joining. so the offcicial thread count actually starts at 2. that being said, the 5,000th is actually 5,001. so here's what i am thinking. a battle between iyoko and myself to see who can get to the 5,00th post first. once it gets to just before that point, everyone else stops posting and we wait and see who actually gets to the 5,000th (officially {though not really}the 5.001st post) first. he who gets to it first get 3 reps from the other person. also, as an added bonus, said person would be made thread co-owner with ogata who would be thread owner. then, he who would not have been able to get to the 5,000th post fast enough would be made thread leader and wouls choose a co-leader and 3 2 other co-leaders besides. thenn 1 or 2 overseeing overlords would be chosen and at least one elite member. the rest of the member brackets would continue to reflect each members level of activeness. does that sound good? i'd like to think so, since it also serves the purpose of straightening out the ranks a bit. but what do you guys think? in response to shadowferret: further talk of that kind shall result in such a neg rep! this is between iYoko and myself! For one he's never going to put his position of co-owner on the line, especially to you. Though I would totally laugh if either of you didn't get the 5000th post I would not want to see it, I doubt it would be pretty. But shadow, even jokingly, you don't need to threaten to neg someone for trying to get the 5000th post, know why? Cause there's always the 6000th and the 7000 and so on, and it's just rude. I also feel such a rep would be fit for the rep complaint thread. Can you imagine someone saying there, "I got negged for just posting in a club." not exactly what the mods want to here. Shadow Zero Posted September 18, 2009 Report Share Posted September 18, 2009 huh. well i guess your right. i guess i kind of lost it there.and in reference to what you said before, it's currently leader, being ogata. overseeing overlord being me, then the co-leaders being iyoko, you, and 3 or 4 others. i mean, you aren't forgetting that overseeing overlord is higher then co-leader, are you? really, what it is is a chance for iyoko to get one up on me again.if iyoko fails, then things stay as the way that they are, except with him being leader, me being co-owner, and ogata being owner, with the overseeing overlord and co-leader brackets needing to be reorganized. and if iyoko should happen to win, then he would e co-owner under ogata, (him being the owner) and me being the newly named leader, with me reorganizing the overseeing overlord and co-leader brackets.so like i said, its actually a chance for iyoko to get a higher spot back. so if its anyone who is putting their position on the line, its me. that being said, i could have put this in the statement of an objection, but this topic of which we are currently speaking is much to serious to be put into such a format. For whatever reason the first post where you actually explained it didn't make perfect sense. yeah I can see yoko taking any opportunity to one-up you.
