Love Stories are great reading' date=' but I have a hard time with adding them to my stories because I love history so much and it always makes me get to into the details of the plot and not remember to add in any kind of hook, like a good love story. Plenty of good stories are told without the need of a pointless love interest (too bad Hollywood didn't get the memo) that because they don't feel the love.. that's y they suck No, its because they insist on throwing in a romantic subplot into movies that clearly do not need them. D= nuu.. they need the cheesy love.. seriously it's what make the more epic parts of it more epic.. seriously.. they bore you with love then BOOM BANG they hit you with the action... Place yourself the that situation... and write using your feelingsWell' date=' Nate, if that is your name, I would suggest adding a future love interest or current love interest to your main character's life early in the story, their relationship evolving over time. And don't worry about your love for history. The depth of your plot is important. So is the character's ability to change, because that is what your main characters do. Others write because it is a hobby or they just enjoy it. For every new author that gets published, there are hundreds that don't. If you want to become a writer for a living, I suggest you don't quit your day job until your first book A)gets published, and B)actually sells. It has basic themes of futility of life and insignificance as a human being and it follows the viewpoint of a misanthropic young adult.
