Marisa Kirisame-ze
This has turned into a school for Japanese. Some attempts at making American/European people in anime really suck. I only like females in anime. The boys don't fit well. Nah, I actually think that most of the attempts are pretty good. But from the anime I've watched, the American/European students or characters aren't even that popular, and are treated like any other regular character~ Though, guys, we should get back to anime figurines. It'd be bad to move off topic.
Altαir
I'm confused about the formalities. But don't answer me.
OMGAKITTY
It would literally be "cute is"To say "That is cute", it would be "kore wa kawaii desu" Oh, and the Japanese language doesn't have exclamation marks, so you'll sometimes see "desunee!" (des neey), "nee" being an added emphasis (pretty much the JP version of the !)
Dark
I don't see why it seems right to include Blonde hair in a Japanese anime. Blue hair is good enough. Anyways, what exactly are these figurines made out of?
Marisa Kirisame-ze
Okay, guys, really get back on topic, or make a new thread about it, kay? Anyhow, if you guys could get a figma for free, which would you get? ^_^ And Dark, it's made out of a modeling clay and the clothing are sometimes rubber. Then they hand paint it. OMGAKITTY
Something manly, like Kamina or a Knightmare. Or a Hydralisk.
Dark
Anyways, what exactly are these figurines made out of? How durable is this clay? And can it come in other materials, such as glass?

Marisa Kirisame-ze
Nope. Usually just modeling clay and rubber for clothes. Then the bases that the figmas stand on are usually made out of plastic. And the clay is HIGHLY durable. It won't break, unless you are being idiotic and bending the peices. Though, some figmas are the ones where you need to put sections of the body together [legs, torso, head, and then the accessories]. It's easy to snap together, but sometimes they are a bit uneasy and can fall apart if played with to much. Buy one for yourself and see.
Dark
I don't think I can buy one and have them ship it a few thousand miles to another country.

Marisa Kirisame-ze
Huh? You know, you don't need to get them imported from Japan. I mean, there are online stores that sell them specifically for people in America, for good prices. [Most good figmas range around $20 - $280 T_T] Or just stop by Little Tokyo, and go around the shops there ^_^ I mean, the Little Tokyo here in California, is amazing~

Marisa Kirisame-ze
Yeah, then you can just appreciate figmas online and enjoy looking at figurines that others have ^_^ I'm a well collector of figmas, anime art books, manga, and anime DVDs. From such a strong passion, I enjoy looking at other collections, and hope to be able to do so well in my collecting ^-^

No, I pace it out. Sometimes I just get one art book every year, and a manga every month. It's what I love, so money isn't an issue~
Dark
Do your parents condone you being "obsessed" with anime? If you live in Japan, the question above is null and void.
