Which is your game of choice? I know many of you play multiples but which is your favorite? Why is it your favorite, which do you hate and why do you hate it?

I only play Yu-Gi-Oh because that's what most of my friends play, but I've recently started looking into Magic, I don't actually have a deck or anything but I'm doing my research. I think I may get into...or not..... I'm getting a bit bored with the whole TCG thing.

Also I used to collect Duel Master cards. The game was pretty much a rip off of Magic but the art was so f**king epic it was beautiful. I collected Pokemon Cards when I was younger but never actually learned to play so I sold them all off as I got older.

dood

we all liek yugioh

I've played MTG for a week, using a mix of a black and a green tenth edition. Then, I got sick of it.

I've played Pokemon for a month, borrowing a different Deck for each tournament. I was alway 1st or second, but then came in 28th at nationals. I want to start playing again, with a deck of my own.

Duel Masters? RIP-OFF. Even the name says it.

If you're going to vote at least post so we can have an actual discussion......

Edit: Nvm Larry posted.....

I played Duel Masters before I started my research on Magic so I was like wtf when I saw how big a rip off it actually was. What ever happened to the game anyway? I haven't seen a new set in years.

Yu-Gi-Oh! is fun. The cards look great, read great, have a nice variety, and just the right amount of gameplay complexity. All the other games just don't feel as good as Yu-Gi-Oh! does. The only time I enjoy playing Magic is when I play speed with a forest deck. I never got into the terminology and feel of Magic. Pokemon cards look pretty, but I only ever got to play one game with them in all the years I had cards, and that game blew (due to outside circumstances). Duel Masters was kind of confusing, and not a lot of fun. Lame/computer generic card graphics, too.

Kids @ university all play magic. Sucks balls. I'd have a deck if they played this but no' date=' magic is cooler. bleh.

I used to play yugioh at school till I found out about a shop that held Locals around my way so we all play there now. They also host MTG and Chaotic...never actually saw anyone play Chaotic though.

Yeah...Magic does have a complex back story but the cards don't really do much to get you into it...they are pretty blah in their art to. Duel masters was pretty much Magic with 5 Shield(Life) and a Direct attack for game, only creatures with blocker can block. It had the same tap, summoning sickness and mana mechanic as Magic. But I have to disagree with you on the card art, I loved the art for the fire and water civilizations.

Bakugan for the win.

That game sucks ass.

Lol

I have no idea how that game works and im to lazy to look it up.

Yugioh >MTG > Battle Spirits

Battle Spirits is a fantasy game where players attempt to master the use of their “core” to summon spirits from the lands of undead' date=' ice, war and peace. The unique core mechanic introduces a new way to play trading card games that creates immediate conflicts right from the start of the game. [/b']

Pokemanz TCG is stupid-easy. The simplicity of it is what makes it good.

Yugimonz requires you to rembmer a bunch of stuff. But other then that, the game is pretty straight forward.

Duel Masters had an interesting game mechanic, but it was short lived.

-Arm never played MTG

I'm sorry, I was all good with it up until you said this, you obviously have no idea what you are talking about.

I'm more familiar with YGO, but I'm starting to like MtG more and more because there are more levels of redundancy to stop more powerful combos from going out on turn one. Btw, I'm refering to Type 2, or the equivalent of Advanced format in YGO. In Type 1.5/1 there are still insane combos that are broken...

That's not true MTG has some of the most gorgeous art in cards games ever invented...Specially the latest edition where the art is improving at giant steps...

Considering that almost all the art is hand made/painted...

I played Pokemon back then when I was 9/11, then at 10 meet MTG and at 12 Yugioh...

it was a time where yugioh was my favorite game but now that place is occupied by MTG since I found it more changelling...

Pokemon was cool and all but I don't think I'd ever play it again....

BTW MAGIC:THE GATHERING's BACK HISTORY....in other words the NOVELS...ARE REALLY GOOD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I read like 2 or three of them And I wanted to have the whole history complete....(Mostly the Dominaria and Otaria's History)...too bad most of the fat packs are in English....and are a little expensive....

AND it will have a manga very soon that I obviously will follow.....

The Fat Packs no longer hold entire books, it's saddening :'( I haven't read a MtG Novel yet, but the preview I got in my fat pack was amazable, just plain epic.

People keep saying "MtG is SO COMPLICATED!! Why use mana when you could just DO IT FOR FREE IN YGO!" My answer to that is, fairness, and seriously, if you can't get the concept of being a demi-god and having to use mana to bring stuff out, that's just sad...

I mostly agree with VK, but PKMN never really made sense to me...

Thanks DAZ, but MTG is not complicated, only some terms are, even then they post videos on Youtube explaining the new rulings and terms.
