Konami doesnt want a bunch of +1s in the current metagame, and either bans and/or horribly weakens any possible chance at one happening. But mostly only when it come to drawing.

Its not that its bad' date=' its just.... its horribly one-sided.

Its a costless +1.

The fact how its costlss, and a +1, are what makes it ban worthy.

 

If it was more like:

Remove from play 2 "Pot of Limited" from your deck from play. Draw 2 cards. During this turn, you cannot Summon or Set any monsters

Its a +1, but more in the sence that its balanced.

Having multiple copies of it in your hand makes it uselss.

Sending copies of it from the deck to the Graveyard make it useless.

And using it uses up your ability to defend yourself with any sort of monster-related thing.

It offers a massive hand advantage with no cost.

That's why. It's also part of The Trinity, which Konami has dreaded, and will never let leave the ban list.

Discard NA get another. Discard new NA get the first one. You no longer need to pay the cost for cards that force you to discard. That is broken.

Ok, only 1 thing on this list makes me LOL to death.

Not an awful lot. Mostly moving things to a less restrictive status, actually, like Sarc@3 and Monk, maybe, @2/3. I like Monk since it helps lots of interesting Decks like Counter Fairies get a bit of consistency, but it's hard to move up with Cat about, and I like Cat =/

Quick question that people will probably get mad at me for.

 

Note in advanced: I'm not saying I want Pot of Greed back, I know of its bannableness.

 

Question: Why is Rescue Cat, an incredibly abusable +1 in almost every situation, not banned yet. Pot of Greed is also a +1 but it doesn't make you lose your summoning ability for the turn. (I'm assuming that thats the only difference between the two). Rescue Cat will continue to get more and more support, and should deffinitly be banned. Unlike Pot of Greed that is a +1, Rescue Cat has more options as a +1, from dealing massive damage, Synchro Summoning like no tomorrow, and making your Deck smaller. Its like one of those cards that were "okay" until it got some insane support like synchros. I'm scarred that substitoad will have that happen to itself as well, and down the road, the abusable Lonefire Blossom.

Because the people that make the ban lists are idiots.

 

However not all cards that are +1 are broken. Also an even better question is way DAD, a +3 at the least, isn't banned.

But if you're gay enough to use Spirit Release, then it becomes just as broken as JD.
