If konami unbans it... *cries* Exodia will be metagame and rock-paper-scisors at start of the game wil decide of who wins I don't think Exodia will become Meta but something that can create a number of FTKs just by its very presence in a format is certainly not good for the game and should therefore be banned. Especially since out of everything that is bad for the game, FTKs are by far the worst since they remove the most important element of a duel. The duel itself. As for the reason why it's banned, you could only know the true reason for its banning by asking Konami yourself. Really, almost all the "Why is this card banned?" topics are from trolls/idiots that fail to see a card's immensely broken potential and only look at its basic effect. If we did that, we'd look at Butterfly Dagger and say "This card utterly sucks". Almost all cards are banned because of a broken combo or just being too powerful on its own (Raigeki/Dark Hole/etc). DMOC had a huge role in a format only a few years ago, I think back when Disk Commander was legal. And I think everyone, especially with all the 5Ds cards that Special Summon low level monsters, knows why Disk is banned and staying banned. Its banned because it causes FTKs by breaking game mechanics/making them pointless. In this case the game mechanic is setting traps one turn before using them. Besides, a lot of stuff that is banworthy is merely overshadowed by the bigger problems. Also, Gyzarus is the biggest problem with Gladiator Beasts. evilfusion Posted June 5, 2010 Report Share Posted June 5, 2010 I knew of the Infernity OTK loop, and played my games using it (proxies) but I must admit I overlooked its greater application as an OTK engine and I wasn't using it quick enough (Dark Grepher gives the strategy SOOO much speed). I realized the OTK use when other members started crying about the OTK going to ruin the meta, when I had earlier considered Infernity just a powerful and meta-worthy deck. I never thought of Tsukuyomi as broken until I learned the pseudo-Yata Lock combo. Even then, I feel it's one of the least broken of the banned cards, yet still can prove to be far too dangerous to allow back, particularly in Empty Jar and the like.
