Like everyone else says, Damn good job of cards. Your the first to get his rating from me, and to believe it or not, I stopped rating, but I can't not rate on this, 13/10. But I love the cards, the pictures, except for the dark creature one, but thats alright. But the thing I liked the most is the stroy which follows the cards, and everything is related. I want more story!!!!....But anyhow, like to see more, also, come check out my card,

Autumn Winged Sparkman is the thread title.

Though any mortal man were dead
The Saint refused to bow his head
And spoke these words, that filled with dread
Any who held in their hearts a love for Arcadia.
Activate when a DARK monster you control is destroyed. Remove that card and this card from play. Whenever a monster is sent from the field to the Graveyard, place 1 Soul Marker on that card. When that card has Soul Markers on it greater than or equal to its Level, you may return it to the field at any time during your Main Phase (this is not considered a Summon, but it counts as your Normal Summon.) It gains 100 ATK for each Soul Marker on it. After this effect resolves, you can return this removed from play card to your Deck.
"In ten years time, watch for my sword. I'll come with Ril Degas, your sovereign lord!"

With these foul words, the fiend did fade
And so would ten quiet years parade through Arcadia.

---------------------------------------------------------------
If "Golden Age of Arcadia" is active on the field, whenever you would take Battle Damage from a battle involving a Level 3 or lower LIGHT Spellcaster-Type monster, gain the same amount of Life Points instead and return any card(s) destroyed by the battle to their owner's Deck. If "Dark Age of Arcadia" is active on the field, you can Tribute a Spellcaster-Type monster to put a Darkward Counter on this card. If this card or any Spellcaster-Type monster you control would be removed from the field, you can remove a Darkward Counter instead.
Our story opens once again in Bifrost Hall
Among the schools of magic greatest of them all
Where young minds go to study eldritch lore
And thus produce the greatest sages of our yore.
Yet no instructor fathomed what might have been in store
When they accepted young Gelt of Arcadia.
Once per turn, during your Main Phase, you can change this card's Attribute to FIRE or WATER. While this card's Attribute is WATER, once per turn, place an Ice Counter on 1 monster your opponent controls. While this card's Attribute is FIRE, once per turn, place a Fire Counter on 1 monster your opponent controls. When a monster with an Ice Counter battles, its effect is negated and no effects can be activated. When a LIGHT or FIRE monster attacks a monster with a Fire Counter, it inflicts Piercing Damage, and any damage it inflicts is doubled.
Like fish to water, moths to flame,
Gelt was drawn here. All the same,
His powers, potent though they be
Were capricious, much like he.
For his instructions, nothing felt,
Little mattered to young Gelt
But the eyes of fair Delia,
The most beautiful girl in Arcadia.
Once per turn, you can select 1 monster your opponent controls and send it to the Graveyard. Your opponent then picks up cards from the top of their Deck until they draw a monster that can be Special Summoned and Special Summon it. All other cards picked up are sent to the Graveyard. If this card destroys a monster summoned by this effect as a result of battle, draw 1 card.
Within the walls of Bifrost Hall
The students were budding sages all
Yet four among them in their past
Had a power of a darker cast
To avoid their classmates' scorn
They were not told that they were dragon-born.
Their natures dormant for three generations,
None had seen a dragon in the nations of Arcadia

And now, inside four students of this hallowed dome
The raging dragon's legacy makes its presence known.
If you do not control a "Dragon Soul" monster, add 1 "Dragon Soul" monster from your Deck to your hand. If you control 1 or more "Dragon Soul" monsters, add 1 Dragon-Type monster from your Deck to your hand.

When you take damage from an effect activated by your opponent, or when you receive Battle Damage during your opponent's turn, Special Summon 1 Dragon-Type monster from your hand with ATK less than or equal to the amount of damage you received. When any card summoned by this effect inflicts Battle Damage, send it to the Graveyard. When this card battles, you can double the Battle Damage you take; if you do, this card can't be destroyed by battle this turn.

During your Main Phase 2, if you inflicted Battle Damage this turn but did not Normal Summon a monster, you can Special Summon 1 Dragon-Type monster from your Deck. Battle Damage inflicted by that card becomes 0, and if this card is removed from the field, remove that card from play.

Once per turn, if your Life Points are at least 1000 points lower than your opponent's, you can Special Summon 1 Dragon-Type monster from your Graveyard. During each of your End Phases, take damage equal to half the summoned monster's ATK. (This effect is applied even if both of these monsters are removed from the field.)

If your opponent declares a direct attack on your Life Points, you can Special Summon this card and 1 Dragon-Type monster, except "Ruja, Dragon Soul of Terror," from your hand. If you activate this effect, you cannot Special Summon monsters while either this card or the Special Summoned monster are face-up on the field. This card cannot be attacked while you control another Dragon-Type monster.
The power of the dragonsoul
Was far too great for their control.
The Hall of Bifrost, hallowed dome
A den of dragons had become.
Who could know what these four souls felt?
I shall know them, decided Gelt.

A gruesome task, schoolmasters thought
That some pure evil soul had wrought.
To tame this power, mad and wild
Dare they steel themselves to slay a child?

With eyes of lightning, wings like thunder
Dragons tore the Hall asunder
No sword, no spell would pierce their hide;
Not so their mind. Gelt peered inside
And saw the rage that did abide
With careful chant and mighty shout
He snuffed the dragon's fire out!
Select 1 Spellcaster-Type monster you control and pay Life Points equal to 2000 minus the selected monster's ATK (if the result is negative, it becomes 0.) Remove all monsters on the field that were summoned by another monster's effect from play. All monsters on the field whose effects include summoning one or more monsters have their effects negated until your next Standby Phase.
Dispelling all the greatest dread
Not a drop of blood was shed
And so no thanks were ever faster
Than those of Bifrost's proud school-master.
Once per turn, you can reveal this card in your hand to select a Level 4 or lower Spellcaster-Type monster. That card gains 200 ATK and DEF times its Level until your next Standby Phase. This card cannot be Normal Summoned. This card can only be Special Summoned by removing 3 Spell Cards in your Graveyard, including 1 "Bifrost Tome" card, from play. When this card is Special Summoned, add 1 "Bifrost Tome" card from your Deck to your hand.
When the news of this great feat
Had passed along the palace street
Two warriors came to escort
The young hero to the High Queen's court.
If you control 1 Warrior-Type monster, you can Special Summon this card from your hand. Once per turn, select 1 Warrior-Type monster you control. This card gains ATK equal to half the ATK of that monster. Once per turn, you can have this card gain the effect of 1 monster that was selected by this effect. If you do this, this card's ATK becomes its original ATK during the End Phase.
Well then, where did I left off last time? :D

Zant: A nice and original effect, truly worthy of being called a traitor. It can truly screw your opponent up, slowly, and silent, just like it should be. There's nothing more to say, I love it :)

Sellsword: The term "from either players Deck" makes it special somehow, it definitely fits. The idea I had when I saw it would be based on the concept of a mercenary: I work for those who pays the most money (=Life Points)... that would be one interesting idea... *goes making a Mercenary Archetype*

Zenith: This time it's the connection I really like. The effect is alright, maybe reduce it to Warrior-Type monsters only, it would make sense after all. I'd like to see the rest of the sword, it just makes me curious.

Dark Saint: The connection between him and the Sellswords makes for some interesting Synergies, because it can basically supply you with an infinite amount of Soldiers. He "turns them around"... and that's exactly what he looks like. The other effects are not that great, but they don't have to be, the synergy makes more than up for it, another great card ;)

Heroic Entrance: Unique, fits the situation... you don't lose your touch, the bonds between the cards and the story are strong and very creative!

On a side note: The story really get's interesting every now and then, great job ;)

(Why did you put part II back there? Not enough space?)

Foreboding: It's not only the story that's impressing here. There are some things you could say about the phrasing/OCG, but I don't complain. That last effect seems a bit unneeded, it's strong and interesting as it is. Nontheless, the Picture-Name-Effect flow on the card is superb.

That was only the prologue? Well, then let's leave it at that, don't have that much time for now... but I always hope for more, and I'll definitely come back soon :)

So long,

Spoon

Great review, thx. I DID think that Foreboding might've been over-supportive, but the idea was that it allowed the villain to return with a minion. I mean, if you're going to make a villainous return, you might as well come prepared!

But especially since it returns itself to the Deck, perhaps that effect is a bit overpowering.

The idea of the Saint and the Sellswords were exactly that. After all, even an idyllic paradise has its undesirable elements, otherwise how would it end up with heroes?

Don't worry, Zephestim's sword won't disappoint. Equip Spell Decks are gonna LOVE it!

Yeah, it's a Prologue...but don't count the heroes from the first part out yet. And yes, I ran out of space, and I'll probably run out of space again later.

Where did I stop last time? Ah yes, the prologue :)

Magical Academy: Really nice addition to the Field Spell(s). Especially the first effect works well with the set... but what bugs me is the academy feeling. For whatever reason, I associate this with your typical japanese anime... don't get me wrong, I like animes, but it just comes... out of nowhere, seems unfitting... I don't know. Schools are necessary, yeah sure, but... ah, who cares, the card is enjoyable.

Gelt, Frostflame: I love it :) New material for heroes, ho! The effect is creative and versatile. Just one thing: "No effects can be activated", that sounds like it also counts for the attacked monster, while I think you should still be able to activate effects, since you're not affected by Ice Counters on other monsters... jsut a thought. But the overall effect is great, maybe a little to strong for a mere pupil, but it could evolve... yeah, still very good :P

Delia, Young Sorceress: The effects work well together, involve a little risk and require some tactic. Nicely done. Not much more to say, since we don't know very much about the character yet.

Dragonsoul Quickening: Plot device! Yeah... basic, but it works :P

Daren, Pain: Great, just great. The effects work perfectly together, have clever drawbacks and fit the character. I've seen this picture used quite often, but this one definitely does it best. I love how you can force the Summoning of a monster for a cost... and yeah, it's easily, after... what was her name again... *looks it up*... Kelda, the Scribe one of the best cards in this set. I did already give a Rep, but since this post doesn't have one yet, you'll get one more.

Leda, Rena and Ruja: I put them together because there's not much to say here. They're enjoyable, but not as great as Daren. More basic stuff, but still fitting. What I recognized: Their names fit their facial expressions  Their powers are pretty strong, but they're not able to control them fully, dimming their potential, which sure works well with the story. I also love the picture and how they're used here (goes for all 4), well done.

Bifrost Tome #4: Another plot device, but it's also pretty useful if you consider the current meta (yeah, I'm bringing that up, even if it's totally out of place here). It works, that's all what I have to say.

Schoolmaster Heimdall: We're heading for the big one, aren't we? He supports his students, has nice Summoning conditions, the stats could be a little higher, his last effect is useful... yeah, that's all. Another nice card.

Reddas, Brave Soldier: Solid, effect gaining Warrior. Don't particularly like him, maybe because I have seen too many effect gaining cards in the last weeks... but it does what it does, and still isn't a bad card. Doesn't really look like a hero to be honest, though the effect states otherwise.

Forsomereasonthenextpicturedoesn'tload,soIcan'tseethenameandpicture: This one is better :) It seems to be the guard of our young hero, and the effect is actually pretty creative and very useful. It protects in a unique and... protecting way, another very good card.

Have to take a break here, hopefully I can remember where I stopped. Here's your Rep, you earned it :) The story is still awesome, as are the cards.

So long,

Spoon

I hate talking about OCG.(especially, when im not sure).so i leave that one out.
This Theme of effects wich affect on attacking (you know what i mean ^^) is great. You have so many different possibilities to make sure every attack makes sense, that youre opponent will be afraid of defending himself.

Really liked Leira - was close to say "This is op'd" - but then i read that awesome drawback. Thats what i call balancing out

And thats what youve donte through almost the whole set.
I love a good drawback.
So this set deserves that one:
9/10

You know, I see a lot of forums with "Epic" in their names. Most of them turn out to be disappointments. I am proud to say that this set is NO disappointment! The cards are creative, the pictures are fantastic, the OCG is terrific and I LOVE the scribe's effect. It's not very often I see such an original effect. Very well done and a well deserved 10/10. Great job with these!
If this card would inflict Battle Damage to a player, instead put 1 Guard Counter on this card for each 500 points of damage that would have been inflicted. You can remove 1 Guard Counter from this card to change the target of any opponent's monster's attack to this card. You can remove 3 Guard Counters from this card to negate the activation of an effect that would destroy a LIGHT monster you control and destroy that card.
But Gelt, the scamp, would have none of it
To prove himself, of course he'd love it
But the fawning praises of his peers
Were pure annoyance to his ears
The only praise for which he cared
Was that of Delia; and for her, he'd have saved all of Arcadia.

At last, fair Delia went to Gelt
And told him frankly that she felt
That he was being silly and
An opportunity was at hand.
And with that bold advice in mind
Gelt would return with them to find
That something was amiss with the Queen of Arcadia.

The Queen had left her throne at will
They said she'd suddenly fallen ill
Just yesterday, in perfect health,
Yet now she felt not quite herself.
To activate this card, you must remove 1 "High Queen Primavera of Arcadia" you control from play. All Dragon-Tyoe monsters gain 400 ATK and DEF. Once per turn, if any "Dragon Soul" monster would be destroyed by battle, it is not.
No one but brave Sorel had seen
A hide nor hair of beloved Queen
But he assured them, all was well
And the nurse would be here soon to tell
The cure for what ailed Arcadia.

Peace would last, it seemed so sure
So why did they prepare for war?
You can Tribute this card and one other LIGHT monster to negate the activation and effect of a card that would remove a card you control from the field and destroy that card. If you control 2 or more "Radiant Templar of Arcadia," all LIGHT monsters you control inflict Piercing Damage. If you control 3 "Radiant Templar of Arcadia," when a LIGHT monster battles a monster and inflicts Battle Damage, gain the same amount of Life Points.
Ziegel believed the story true
Though Reddas took a darker view
And Gelt was quite suspicious too
Supposing there was naught to do
But look around, three heroes true
Would seek the cause of the Queen's unusual hue.
And the veritable army, raised anew
Overnight, in a seemingly peaceful Arcadia.

They split up and began to scour
The palace halls for many an hour
And found that things had turned quite sour.

They heard the vibrant clash of steel
The screams would make a grown man reel
They followed the sound and found the scene
To be most traitorous and obscene!
A captain and two loyal wards
Lay on the ground, run through by swords
Held in the hands of Captain Devrain of Arcadia!

Your opponent's monsters are unaffected by the effects of your opponent's cards that do not target. Once per turn, if you control fewer monsters than your opponent, add 1 "Rebel" monster from your Deck to your hand. If "Dark Times for Arcadia" is face-up on the field, this card's Attribute is LIGHT instead of DARK.
His comrades lay dead on the cold hard stone
But this foul traitor was not alone
For elsewhere in this peaceful land
The discontented took a stand
Against the law of Arcadia.
When this card is Special Summoned from the Graveyard, remove it from play and destroy 1 card on the field. If you Normal Summon an "Arcadian Rebel // Crown Knight" and you control fewer monsters than your opponent, Special Summon this removed from play card. This card inflicts Piercing Damage.

During your Standby Phase, return this card to your Deck and Special Summon 1 Level 4 or lower DARK monster from your Deck.

When this card is Normal Summoned, if you control fewer monsters than your opponent, you can Special Summon 1 Level 3 or lower monster from either player's Graveyard. If it was a LIGHT monster, it is treated as a DARK monster instead.
Throughout the land, a rising voice
Demanded citizens make their choice.
Negate the effects of Field Spell Cards. Field Spell Cards cannot be activated or destroyed. If all monsters you control are DARK, your opponent's monsters are unaffected by the effects of your opponent's monsters. If all monsters you control are LIGHT, your opponent cannot activate the effects of monsters, except monsters on the field.
----------------------Back in the Palace of Arcadia------------------------

The traitor Devrain raised his sword
And turned its wicked power toward
The adventurers three. But they were blessed
For now, into the room, half-dressed
But for a coat of mail, enraged from lack of rest
Flew the proud White Duke, Gelvayn
A thousand soldiers he had slain,
When a monster equipped with an Equip Spell Card is removed from the field and that Equip Spell Card is sent to the Graveyard, you can equip that Equip Spell Card to this monster. When this card is removed from the field, all Equip Cards equipped to this monster are returned to their owners' respective Decks.
And in his hand, he held his prize
An exotic weapon to catch the eyes
Of friend and foe alike. This fine axe-blade
Was certainly not human-made,
And was the favorite of his war-got treasures.
A monster equipped with this card gains ATK equal to the combined Level Stars of all monsters your opponent controls x100. Your opponent cannot declare an attack on any monster except the equipped monster, or target any other card with a monster effect. When this card is equipped to a monster except from the hand, draw 1 card.
And not the least of Gelvayn's pleasures.
Was to bring it to bear against a traitor to Arcadia.

Devrain was stunned, outgunned, outmatched
Any of these three he could dispatch
But not the Duke, that fell swordmaster.
Never had any man bolted faster,
Than he, into the corridor.
He dropped a tome upon the floor.
If the turn count is not divisible by 2 or 3, the selected monster gains 600 ATK. If the turn count is divisible by 2, the equipped monster must attack this turn and its effect is negated. If the turn count is divisible by 3, destroy the equipped monster. While this card is in the Graveyard, the turn player can discard 1 Spell Card in their hand to equip this card to a monster they control.
The heroes and the Duke gave chase
And found themselves face to somber face
With unexpected foes.

"It's a trap!" cried Gelvayn.
Return 1 monster you control to your hand. If your opponent successfully attacks during this turn, destroy all face-up cards your opponent controls at the end of the Battle Phase, then Special Summon 1 monster from your hand.
In the palace's narrow hall,
There was hardly room to dodge a ball
Of iron, let alone the great magic sphere
That awaited these four heroes here.
The orb it crashed upon the floor
The proud White Duke, he was no more
And the brilliant flash left them all upon the floor
With nightmares of a darker Arcadia.

The springers of this trap had been
A personal minister to the Queen!
And his sallow partner, Xen
When this card is Special Summoned during either player's turn, you can and must immediately perform a Synchro Summon if possible. Otherwise, send this card and 1 card on the field to the Graveyard.
A man whose former job had been
Much gravemaking, and grave-filling
But remarked that he had never done much killing
...At least not in Arcadia.

OH MY GOD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I READ THE WHOLE F***ING THING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This is the best, most worked on set I've ever seen! Ever! And I've been here for 2 years!!! I know you said this isn't the kind of thing you're looking for, but seriously, you're more determined, more skilled, and definitely more poetic than almost every member on this site. I'm sorry, but I'm kind of in awe.
