LIGHT Plant-Type Xyz Effect Monster
ATK 2300
DEF 3200
2 Level 8 Monsters
Once per turn: You can declare 1 card name; reveal the top card of your Deck, and if it is the declared card, add it to your hand, otherwise send that card to the Graveyard.
If a card(s) is sent from your Deck to the Graveyard by a card effect: You can detach 1 Xyz Material, then target 1 card on the field; place that card on the top or bottom of the Deck. You can only use this effect of “Shinra no Morigami Arusei” once per turn.

Confirmed for LVAL as well.

I was skeptical until I noticed the 3200 DEF. It's...okay. I can't imagine my Galaxy Deck actually using it, though.

Just be thankful Rank 8s get another generally useful Xyz Monster.

I like this card for two reasons:  If you guess it right, then you basically draw.  If you guess it wrong, you can disrupt your opponent's plays.

I want to see more non-Number Xyzs, especially of higher Ranks.

This exites me a bit.

Obviously you'll be aiming to use it's first effect right and leave the trigger of it's second effect to combo with something else, although the fact it can combo  with itself is really scary.

Makes me wanna throw in Galaxy Queen's Light and Beast King Barbaros in my Heraldic deck for the lulz, because Eagle can just refill it and milled Heraldic Beasts are glorious..... it sounds inconsistent, but I'll still probably do it.

Not sure if my vision is failing me or not, but it seems like the 2nd effect can target any card on the field including your opponents, so could potentially effectively make your opponent either lose their best card to the bottom of the deck, or lock them out of a draw phase or 2 by putting one of their cards back on top.

That's the entire reason this card is the second best Rank 8.

Because it's spins stuff which is amazing.

Whoa, whoa, whoa...which is the first best Rank 8? Your other post says Tachyon loses its slot.

I suppose that's true. But we already have some amazing Rank 8s like...

-Number 107

-Hieratic Overlord

-Felgrand

-Giant Killer

-Neo Galaxy-*shot*

Felgrand is, because it's an objectively good card as opposed to being a good rank 8. And because it does so much work by itself that it's essentially the rank's Plieades.

Tachyon is not one I personally value as being that good, because in the current best rank 8 decks: Gimmicks and Photons: Photons have GEPD and Overlord and 3k beaters if they need it, and Overlord packs non targeting removal. It makes it's place very very limited. Gimmicks primary way of making Rank 8's iirc restricts it to being Gimmick Puppets only.

Tachyon isn't bad by any means, it's just not great either.

Felgrand is admittedly probably the best. I only didn't count it right away because it's not TCG yet. But soon...

I actually love No. 107 more than the others, but I run Galaxy, so that might not mean as much. Photon/Galaxy Decks don't always have the cards to spare for Hieratic Overlord's effect, and Tachyon is superbly brutal. But again, that's without Felgrand as a RL option.

This card would work as a defensive option with some interesting applications.

Felgrand is actually the best. It's the only Rank 8 I will consider making for a situation other than getting out of a tight spot.

Of course you run Galaxies. That's like an unwritten law of YCM. And my expierance with the deck has always been to only touch the extra deck when you need an out to a situation that GEPD can't get around itself. Having a spinner is even better, because you are screwing them out of the next draw as well.

And a 3k wall can be amazingly hard to get around in some case.

Number 107, Hieratic Overlord and Giant Killer are only useful in niche situations.  Felgrand and this card are what I consider to be "generally useful".
