D.A._Sakuyamon
You say it like it's a bad thing. The game should rely less on luck and more on skill, otherwise you might as well just flip a coin if you wanna practice how lucky you are. Flipping a coin does take skill. There are way's to increase the probability of what you want the coin to land on. So it's not exactly a good example. Also, I believe I said this before but this card is good for good the game. Miror B
You probably know better than I cuz you're the residing champion of DW, but I've played the deck myself and it was scary consistent. Then you've been getting good luck hands because if DW were consistent they'd be tier 1 at tourneys.

Sora1499
Not attacking Chris in particular here, but saying that card games aren't serious business in a card games forum discussing a card with a profound philosophical impact on said card game is dumb and the easy way out of an oratory jam. It's like discussing viable plays in football, then someone says that it doesn't matter cuz football is a mere sport.
Kazooie
Maybe it was just me, but I took what Chris said as: "It's a card game, of course there's going to be a huge factor of luck in the game." Which is 100% true just on the basis of drawing cards. Knowing how to use the card, which is what Chris was talking about when he mentioned holding on to the MST, and getting the card are two completely different things, and in this case, the latter generally comes down to luck. The first however, does not, and if you waste your MST on something dumb when there is a chance the opponent is running Skill Drain, THAT is your fault. Someone should take their hobby as seriously as they want, and people will naturally take this game and its theory (in my case, moreso the latter) very seriously. Being abrasive has nothing to even do with what you said. I'm a condescending and harsh person naturally; It's not something I really can or want to change. If I come across like that when explaining something in this game then it's not the game that makes me appear that way. Just saying.

玄魔の王
Same could be said about any competitive sport I don't recall saying otherwise. Oftentimes I'm disturbed by where people's priorities lie. (And before you accuse me of hypocrisy, no, I don't really use this game for anything beyond something to do between classes and on weekends. That's up to you to decide Well, considering how much hate already exists in the world, people throwing tantrums and committing assault over a card game seems petty somehow. The Hounds Of Anubis
So, because you don't take much interest in the game as a hobby, it's stupid for anyone else to?
vla1ne
I faced a DW deck that ran 3 skill drain, I got the first 2 out of the way with MST and built an advantage, but he drew into the 3rd one and ran through my deck with 2 grapha like nobody's business. I'm not saying that's a common occurrence, but at 3, the card can be far too consistent in decks, and the cost of using it is not high enough to justify the ability to drop it consistently. as far as power vs. cost goes anyway. Not to mention at 3, the odds are a bit too high that you opponent won't be able to answer it when it's played.Other than that though, I have to say it's one of my favorite cards as far as art and effect go. The Hounds Of Anubis
Funny seeing as 3 is more copies than a DW deck can hope to play consistently. Y'know, unless you like drawing multiples of dead cards in stead of ways to actually win the game.
玄魔の王
So, because you don't take much interest in the game as a hobby, it's stupid for anyone else to? That's not what I'm saying. I'm saying it's stupid for people to get into heated arguments over it, since those are unproductive anyway. Plus, since one of the big points of a game is having fun, and arguments are by definition not fun, they're very antithetic. I have literally watched people get into screaming and shoving matches over how a game went, and I'll assume you find that no more reasonably than I do. The Hounds Of Anubis
How is it stupid to get into these heated arguments? Arguments are one of the best things a game can create, if done by people with a brain. Some people may recall the 4 or something page argument me and Jeremy had purely about Acid Golem and whether it was at all useful. It was a great thread because both sides of the debate brought reasoned points and the discussion was incredibly productive. I'll agree with you that pushing and shoving is not a good thing. I will strongly disagree with you that people with any real passion for their side of the argument are in the wrong. Your point holds very little merit, philosophically.
