Shepard/Sheep Archetype [Written]

Hello and welcome to the showoff of the first (and currently only) Archetype I made that I am not ashemed off.

The Sherpard Archetype of Monsters and the Sheep Archetypes of Spells and Traps are focused around the classic Sheep Token, used by Scapegoat and Stray Lambs. While the Deck has valuable Synchro options, the main strategy usually involves creating an undestructable board (as in, immune to destruction but not other kind of effect removal) by using the Archetypal Field Spell "Sheep Paradise", the Continuous Spell "Sheep Rush" and the Continuous Trap "Sheep Tranquillity". The Archetype can also nullify battle damage with the only Non-Tuner Main Deck monster "Shepard Helper".

 

Shepard Helper
LV 1 EARTH
Beast/Effect
If you control a "Shepard" monster (except "Shepard Helper"): you can Special Summon this card from your hand. This card is also treated as a Sheep Token while it is face-up on the field. You take no battle damage from battles involving Sheep Tokens. You can tribute this card and another Sheep Token you control; Special Summon a "Shepard" Tuner monster from your hand, Deck or GY then you can double the level of all Sheep Tokens you control. You can only use each effect of "Shepard Helper" once per turn.

Shepard Caretaker

LV 4 EARTH
Fairy/Tuner/Effect
If you control 2 or more Sheep Tokens: you can Special Summon this card from your Hand. If a Sheep Token(s) leaves the field while you control this face-up card: you can Special Summon a Sheep Token (Level 1/EARTH/Beast/ATK:0/DEF:0) in defence position also, for the rest of this turn you cannot Special Summon monsters from the Extra Deck, except "Shepard" monsters. If a Sheep Token(s), "Sheep" Spell/Trap card or "Shepard" monster would be destroyed by battle or card effect, you can banish this card from your GY instead. You can only use each effect of "Shepard Caretaker" once per turn.

Magical Shepard

LV 4 EARTH

Spellcaster/Tuner/Effect
(Quick Effect) You can tribute a Sheep Token; Special Summon this card from your hand. If this card is Special Summoned by its own effect you can make all Sheep Tokens you control gain 500 ATK for each Sheep Token you control until the End Phase. (Quick Effect) You can tribute this card; Sheep Tokens you control cannot be destroyed by card effects during this turn. You can only use each effect of "Magical Shepard" once per turn.

Stray Shepard
LV 4 EARTH
Warrior/Tuner/Effect
If this card is Normal or Special Summoned: you can add a "Sheep" Spell/Trap card from your Deck to your hand. Gains 300 ATK for each Sheep Token you control. During your opponent's turn, if a Sheep Token is Summoned while this card is in your GY: you can Special Summon this card but banish it when it leaves the field. You can only use each effect of "Stray Shepard" once per turn.

Bloody Shepard
LV 4 EARTH
Fiend/Tuner/Effect

If this card is Normal or Special Summoned: you can discard a card; Special Summon 2 Sheep Tokens (Level 1/EARTH/Beast/ATK:0/DEF:0) in defence position also, for the rest of this turn you cannot Special Summon monsters from the Extra Deck, except "Shepard" monsters. (Quick Effect) You can tribute up to 2 Sheep Tokens; target and destroy up to that many cards on the field. You can only use each effect of "Bloody Shepard" once per turn.

Master Shepard

LV 6 EARTH

Fairy/Synchro/Tuner/Effect

1 EARTH Tuner + 1+ non-tuner monsters.
If this card was Synchro Summoned by using 1 or more Sheep Tokens: you can Special Summon a Sheep Token (Level 1/EARTH/Beast/ATK:0/DEF:0) in defence position also, for the rest of this turn you cannot Special Summon monsters from the Extra Deck, except "Shepard" monsters. (Quick Effect) You can change the battle position of all Sheep Tokens you control then, if the position of 3 or more monsters was changed: you can draw a card. If a Sheep Token leaves the field: all "Shepard" monsters gain 500 ATK and DEF until the End Phase. You can only use each effect of "Shepard Master" once per turn.

Shepard of Sweet Dreams

LV 8 EARTH

Fairy/Synchro/Effect

1 EARTH Tuner + 1+ non-tuner monsters.
If this card was Synchro Summoned by using only "Shepard" monsters and Sheep Tokens: Special Summon 2 Sheep Tokens (Level 1/EARTH/Beast/ATK:0/DEF:0) in defence position also, for the rest of this turn you cannot Special Summon monsters from the Extra Deck, except "Shepard" monsters. (Quick Effect) You can change the battle position of any number of Sheep Tokens you control; target 1 card your opponent controls and if you do return it to the hand. When your opponent activates a Monster effect: you can tribute a Sheep Token; negate the activation. You can only use each effect of "Shepard of Sweet Dreams" once per turn.

Lana, the First Shepard

LV 12 EARTH

Fairy/Synchro/Effect

1 "Shepard" Tuner + 1+ EARTH Synchro monster(s).
If this card was Synchro Summoned by using only "Shepard" monsters: you can Special Summon up to 3 Sheep Tokens (Level 1/EARTH/Beast/ATK:0/DEF:0) in defence position also, for the rest of this turn, you cannot summon monsters from the Extra Deck, except "Shepard" monsters. Cannot be destroyed by card effects. Sheep Tokens gain 300 ATK for each monster on the field. (Quick Effect) You can change the battle position of any number of Sheep Tokens you control; negate the effects of a monster your opponent controls also you can take control of it and if you do it is treated as a Sheep Token while it is Face-Up on the field. If this card leaves the field because it was destroyed by battle by an opponent's monster or because of the effect of a card that is owned by your opponent: you can target a "Shepard" Tuner monster in your GY; Special Summon it. You can only use each effect of "Lana, the First Shepard" once per turn.

Sheep Calling
Normal Spell Card

When you activate this card you can also tribute a Sheep Token; Special Summon a Sheep Token (Level 1/EARTH/Beast/ATK:0/DEF:0) in defence position, then, if you tributed a Sheep Token when you activate this card, add a "Shepard" monster from your Deck to your hand. You can only activate one "Sheep Calling" per turn.

 

Sheep Rest 

Quick-Play Spell Card

When you activate this card you can also tribute a Sheep Token; add a "Sheep" Spell/Trap card from your GY to your hand (except "Sheep Rest") but it cannot be activated this turn, then, if you tributed a Sheep Token to activate this card, Special Summon a "Shepard" monster from your GY in defence position. You can only use one "Sheep Rest" per turn.

 

Sheep Stampede

Continuous Spell Card

When this card is activated: you can discard a card; Special Summon a Sheep Token (Level 1/EARTH/Beast/ATK:0/DEF:0) in defence position. All Sheep Tokens gain 300 ATK for each Sheep Token on the field. (Quick Effect) You can change the battle position of all Sheep Tokens you control then, if the position of 3 or more monsters was changed by this effect: you can target and destroy a card your opponent controls. If this card leaves the field because of an opponent's card effect: you can add a "Shepard" monster from your GY to your hand. You can only control one "Sheep Stampede". You can only use each effect of "Sheep Stampede" once per turn.

 

Sheep Paradise

Field Spell Card

When this card is activated: you can Special Summon a Sheep Token (Level 1/EARTH/Beast/ATK:0/DEF:0) in defence position also, for the rest of this turn, you cannot Special Summon monsters from the Extra Deck, except "Shepard" monsters. All Sheep Tokens and "Shepard" monsters gain 300 ATK/DEF. During your Standby Phase: you can Special Summon a Sheep Token. This card gains the following effects depending on the number of Sheep Tokens you control:
- 1 or more: Cannot be destroyed by card effects.
- 2 or more: Your opponent cannot target monsters for attacks, except Sheep Tokens
- 3 or more: your opponent cannot target cards with card effects, except Sheep Tokens
-4 or more: Sheep Tokens cannot be destroyed by your opponent's card effects.
You can only activate one "Sheep Paradise" per turn.

 

Sheep Nuzzle

Normal Trap Card

Tribute a Sheep Token; target a card your opponent controls and if you do negate its effects until the End Phase. If you control no monster: you can banish this card, a "Shepard" monster and a "Sheep" Spell/Trap card from your GY; Special Summon 3 Sheep Tokens (Level 1/EARTH/Beast/ATK:0/DEF:0) in defence position also, for the rest of this turn you cannot Special Summon monsters from the Extra Deck, except "Shepard" monsters. You can only use this effect of "Sheep Nuzzle" once per duel. You can only use one effect of "Sheep Nuzzle" per turn.

 

Sheep Rush

Normal Trap Card

You can tribute any number of Sheep Tokens; apply the following effects depending on the number of monsters you tributed to activate this card:
-1+: Banish up to 2 cards from your opponent's GY.
-2+: Target and destroy up to 2 Spell/Trap cards your opponent controls.
-3+: Target and destroy up to 2 monsters your opponent controls.
If this card is in your GY and you control no monsters: you can banish this card and any number of "Shepard" monsters with different names from your Hand or GY; Special Summon Sheep Tokens (Level 1/EARTH/Beast/ATK:0/DEF:0) in defence position up to the number of "Shepard" monsters you banished to activate this effect also, for the rest of this turn, you cannot Special Summon monsters from the Extra Deck, except "Shepard" monsters. You can only activate one effect of "Sheep Rush" per turn and only once that turn.

 

Sheep Tranquillity

Continuous Trap Card

When this card is activated: you can Special Summon a Sheep Token (Level 1/EARTH/Beast/ATK:0/DEF:0) in defence position. If you control a Sheep Token your opponent must target Sheep Tokens for attacks. The first time each turn each Sheep Token you control would be destroyed by battle, it is not destroyed. If this card leaves the field because of an opponent's card effect: you can add a "Shepard" monster from your GY to your hand. You can only control one "Sheep Tranquillity". You can only use each effect of "Sheep Tranquillity" once per turn.
