Qicon Archetype [WRITTEN] (25/25+)

Hello, fine peoples!

Your friendly neighborhood Tinkerer B. Melon here with a new super-ambitious archetype design.

You remember all those sub-types that Konami made?  You know: Flip, Toon, Spirit, Union, and Gemini?  Over the past few days in my spare time I've been trying to design a single archetype that incorporates all those sub-types (labeled "Ability" on yugipedia) together.  I had to make some concessions and bend a few of the hard limits on each of these abilities, but, I think I came up with a pretty solid archetype design.

The archetype is going to end up quite large because on top of having at least 2 cards per ability (as well as 2 Normal monsters for good measure), I am also designing them with all the Extra Deck monster types.  The effects are also pretty long because of all the conditions added to their abilities.  Still, look through 'em if you want; I'd appreciate any feedback you can give!

Without further ado, onto the cards!

When the Qi peoples die, they become one with this mythical dragon known as the Qicon.  A spiritual being, the Qicon's will is dictated by the parliament of peoples that make up its form.

You can Tribute 1 Level 4 or lower monster to Special Summon this card from your hand.  Cannot attack directly the turn it is summoned unless you have a Normal, Flip, Toon, Spirit, Union, or Gemini monster in your GY.  While you control "Toon World" or a "Qicon" Spell card and your opponent controls no Toon monsters, this card can attack directly.  Your opponent cannot target Normal, Flip, Toon, Spirit, Union, or Gemini monsters you control for attacks.

You can Tribute 1 Level 4 or lower monster to Special Summon this card from your hand.  Cannot attack directly the turn it is summoned unless you have a Normal, Flip, Toon, Spirit, Union, or Gemini monster in your GY.  While you control "Toon World" or a "Qicon" Spell card and your opponent controls no Toon monsters, this card can attack directly.  If this card inflicts battle damage to your opponent: You can target 1 "Toon" card or 1 "Qicon" card in your GY; add it to your hand, and if you do, discard 1 card.

Once per turn, you can either: Target 1 face-up Normal, Flip, Toon, Spirit, Union, or Gemini monster you control; equip this card from your hand, field, or GY to that target, OR: Unequip this card and Special Summon it.  If this card is Special Summoned: You can Special Summon 1 "Qicon" monster from your GY.  If the equipped monster would be destroyed by battle or card effect, destroy this card instead.  The equipped monster gains 200 ATK/DEF and can attack your opponent directly, and if they do, Special Summon this card.  You can only control 1 "Qicon Vestment".

Once per turn, you can either: Target 1 face-up Normal, Flip, Toon, Spirit, Union, or Gemini monster you control; equip this card from your hand, field, or GY to that target, OR: Unequip this card and Special Summon it.  If the equipped monster would be destroyed by battle or card effect, destroy this card instead.  The equipped monster gains 400 ATK/DEF and cannot be targeted by your opponent's card effects.  If the equipped monster battles, at the End of the Damage Step, Special Summon this card.  You can only control 1 "Qicon Raiment".

Once per turn, you can either: Target 1 face-up Normal, Flip, Toon, Spirit, Union, or Gemini monster you control; equip this card from your hand, field, or GY to that target, OR: Unequip this card and Special Summon it.  If this card is Special Summoned: You can Special Summon 1 "Qicon" monster from your hand.  If the equipped monster would be destroyed by battle or card effect, destroy this card instead.  The equipped monster gains 200 ATK/DEF and can attack all monsters your opponent controls once each.  At the end of the battle Phase, if the equipped monster destroys an opponent's monster by battle, Special Summon this card.  You can only control 1 "Qicon Vestment".

Can only be Special Summoned by the effect of a "Qicon" card.  When this card is Normal Summoned or flipped face-up: You can send 1 Normal, Flip, Toon, Spirit, Union, or Gemini monster from your Deck to the GY, and if you do, this card's ATK becomes 3000 when it battles a Special Summoned monster this turn.  If this card is sent from the field to the GY; you can target 1 Special Summoned monster your opponent controls; negate that target's effects, also, it loses 1000 ATK.  Once per turn, during the End Phase, if this card was Summoned or flipped face-up this turn: Return this card to the hand.

Can only be Special Summoned by the effect of a "Qicon" card.  When this card is Normal Summoned or flipped face-up: You can Normal Summon 1 Normal, Flip, Toon, Spirit, Union, or Gemini monster in addition to your Normal Summon/Set.  If you Normal Summon a Normal, Flip, Toon, Spirit, Union, or Gemini monster: You can target 1 Special Summoned monster your opponent controls; negate that target's effect, and halve its ATK/DEF until the End Phase.  Once per turn, during the End Phase, if this card was Summoned or flipped face-up this turn: Return this card to the hand.

Can only be Special Summoned by the effect of a "Qicon" card.  When this card is Normal Summoned or flipped face-up: You can Special Summon 1 "Qicon" monster from your Deck, but return it from your Monster Zone to your hand during the End Phase, also, you cannot use monsters as Material except Normal, Flip, Toon, Spirit, Union, or Gemini monsters for the rest of the turn.  Once per turn, during the End Phase, if this card was Summoned or flipped face-up this turn: Return this card to the hand.

You can tribute 1 Normal, Flip, Toon, Spirit, Union, or Gemini monster; add 1 "Qicon" card from your Deck to your hand. You can only use this effect of "Qicon Regiment" once per turn.

This card is treated as a Normal Monster while face-up on the field or in the GY.  While this card is equipped with a card, it becomes an Effect Monster with this effect.
- Special Summoned monsters your opponent controls cannot activate their effects during your turn.  If a Normal, Flip, Toon, Spirit, Union, or Gemini monster(s) you control is sent to the GY; you can send 1 card equipped to this card to the GY; Special Summon 1 of those monsters.  You can only use this effect of "Qicon Reinforcement" once per turn.

Activate this card by targeting 1 Level 4 Normal, Flip, Toon, Spirit, Union, or Gemini monster in your GY; Special Summon it and equip it with this card.  When this card leaves the field (except by the effect of a "Qicon" card), destroy that monster.  You can send this card to the GY; equip 1 "Qicon" monster from your Deck to the monster this card was equipped to.  During your Main Phase (except the turn this card was sent to the GY): You can banish this card from your GY; Special Summon 1 equipped "Qicon" monster.  You can only activate 1 "Qicon Instrument" per turn.

Qicon Extinguishment
Quick-Play Spell
Banish up to 6 monsters you control or in the GY, but only 1 of each of the following types (Normal, Flip, Toon, Spirit, Union, or Gemini); resolve the following effects in sequence for each of the card types banished.  If you banished 3+ monsters, your opponent cannot activate monster effects in response to this card's effect.
1+: Add 1 "Qicon" monster from your Deck to your hand.
2+: Send 1 "Qicon" monster from your Deck to the GY.
3+: Special Summon 1 "Qicon" monster from your Deck or GY.
4+: Destroy all Special Summoned monsters your opponent controls.
5+: Banish all Spells/Traps your opponent controls.
6: Banish a number of cards from your opponent's hand up to the number of monsters you banished from your field to activate this effect.
You can only activate 1 "Qicon Extinguishment" per turn.

Qicon Replenishment

Discard 1 Level 4 or lower Normal, Flip, Toon, Spirit, Union, or Gemini monster; draw 2 cards, then, you can Normal Summon 1 Normal, Flip, Toon, Spirit, Union, or Gemini monster.  You can only activate 1 "Qicon Replenishment" per turn.

Qicon Judgment
Counter Trap
When a monster(s) would be Summoned, OR a Spell/Trap card or effect is activated: Banish 2 monsters from your field or GY (any combination of Normal, Flip, Toon, Spirit, Union, or Gemini monsters); negate the Summon or activateion, and if you do, banish that card.

Qicon Alignment
Continuous Spell
When this card is activated: You can send 1 "Qicon" card from your Deck to the GY.  If a "Qicon" monster you control battles: It gains 500 ATK/DEF during the Damage Step only.  The first time each Normal, Flip, Toon, Spirit, Union, or Gemini monster you control would be destroyed by battle or by your opponent's card effect, it is not destroyed.

Qicon Enhancement
Quick-Play Spell
Pay 1500 LP; Special Summon any number of Fusion, Synchro, Xyz, and/or Link monsters using monsters you control and in your Spell/Trap Zone as Materials (This Special Summon is treated as an appropriate summon for each monster).  If a Fusion, Synchro, Xyz, or Link monster(s) Special Summoned by this effect used only Normal, Flip, Toon, Spirit, Union, or Gemini monsters as Material, they are unaffected by the effects of Special Summoned monsters except their own for the rest of the turn.

Bump~

Added the last spell and put in the first few extra deck monsters.  I'm not sure how much further I want to push this (especially since I already can't think of good names for the Extra Deck monsters).

The little * next to their Attribute is their Level.  I usually put asterisks up to level 4, then use numerals with the asterisks once they are level 5 or higher.

Do you have any thoughts on the archetype design?

I think you should cut the Main Deck monster to a number that it can be optimized for a competitive deck builds, other than that. This is very interesting because you added some new mechanic to an existing effect exmple. Gemini/Flip

Thanks for the look-through!

Yeah, under normal circumstances, I typically like to try to keep archetypes small and tight-knit. Given how I structured the theme of this archetype (2 monsters per ability), it kinda forced the archetype to be a bit bigger than average.
