Atypical-Abbie
Flamefreeze is an Archetype of Pyro/WATER monsters with various Levels and 0 DEF. They focus on Ice Counters and Synchro Summoning. Their main playstyle revolves around placing Ice Counters on as many monsters on the field as possible, both your own and your opponent's monsters, and have various purposes for doing so, mainly by manipulating your opponent's monsters for Synchro Summons and other various reasons. Their main boss monster is Flamefreeze Avalanche Eruptor which is a powerful Level 12 Synchro Monster, which gains effects depending on the number of Ice Counters on it. Their name refers to their strange typing of Pyro/WATER, which was inspired by the recent Suship Archetype that has Aqua/FIRE, and just that I always wanted to do something with the Ice Counters, which has a few members that can also be useful in this Archetype, so that's why I made them searchable with Flamefreeze Former. They are based on various things related to ice and snow, as well as fire and lava, a duality that may not make a lot of sense, but hey, it's YGO nothing makes sense. Main Deck Monsters: Flamefreeze Flake Pyro/WATER/Tuner Level 1 If this card is in your hand: You can remove 1 Ice Counter from anywhere on the field; Special Summon this card. If this card is destroyed by a card effect: You can place 1 Ice Counter on each face-up monster on the field. You can only use each effect of "Flamefreeze Flake" once per turn. 500/0 Flamefreeze Burner Pyro/WATER Level 2 Once per turn: You can remove up to 3 Ice Counters from anywhere on the field; inflict damage to your opponent equal to the number removed x 500. (Quick Effect): You can discard this card, then target 1 monster on the field with an Ice Counter on it and 1 other monster on the field; remove all Ice Counters from the first target, and if you do, place the same number of Ice Counters on the second target. 800/0 Flamefreeze Former Pyro/WATER Level 3 You can discard this card, then target 1 face-up monster on the field; place 3 Ice Counters on that target. If this card is in your GY, except the turn it was sent there: You can banish this card and remove 2 Ice Counters from anywhere on the field; add 1 card from your Deck to your hand that lists Ice Counters in its card text. You can only use each effect of "Flamefreeze Former" once per turn. 1200/0 Flamefreeze Grower Pyro/WATER Level 4 When this card is Normal Summoned: You can Special Summon 1 "Flamefreeze" monster from your hand, and if you do, place 1 Ice Counter on it. Once per turn: You can target 1 monster on the field with an Ice Counter on it; increase its Level by the number of Ice Counters on it. 1800/0 Flamefreeze Crystal Pyro/WATER Level 6 You can Special Summon this card (from your hand) by Tributing 1 monster on the field with an Ice Counter on it. Once per turn: You can target 1 face-up monster with an Ice Counter on it; this turn, treat that target as a Tuner. 2000/0 Extra Deck Monsters: Flamefreeze Magma Ball Pyro/WATER/Link Link Arrows: Bottom 1 monster with an Ice Counter on it If you would Synchro Summon a "Flamefreeze" Synchro Monster, you can treat this card as a Tuner and a monster this card points to as material, and its Level is equal to the number of Ice Counters on it (min. 1). When your opponent activates a card or effect that targets a "Flamefreeze" card(s) you control: You can remove 2 Ice Counters from anywhere on the field; negate that activation, and if you do, destroy that target. 1000/LINK-1 Flamefreeze Ice Match Pyro/WATER/Synchro/Tuner Level 4 1 Tuner + 1+ non-Tuner monsters Once per Chain, during either player's Main Phase you can (Quick Effect): Immediately after this effect resolves, Synchro Summon 1 WATER Synchro Monster using this card you control and monsters on either field with Ice Counters on them. If this card is on the field or in your GY (Quick Effect): You can banish this card from your field or GY, then target 1 face-up monster on the field; place 2 Ice Counters on that target. 1500/0 Flamefreeze Snow Melter Pyro/WATER/Synchro Level 8 1 Tuner + 1+ non-Tuner monsters with Ice Counters on them Once per turn (Quick Effect): You can remove any number of Ice Counters from anywhere on the field; this card gains 100 ATK for each removed until the end of this turn. If this card inflicts battle damage to your opponent: You can target 1 card on the field; destroy that target. If this card is destroyed: You can destroy all monsters on the field with Ice Counters on them. 2500/0 Flamefreeze Avalanche Eruptor Pyro/WATER/Synchro Level 12 1 Tuner + 1+ non-Tuner monsters with Ice Counters on them When this card is Synchro Summoned: You can destroy all other monsters on the field with no Ice Counters on them, then place Ice Counters on this card equal to the number of monsters destroyed. This card gains effects depending on the number of Ice Counters on it. ● 1+: If this card battles, your opponent cannot activate cards or effects until the end of the Damage Step. ● 2+: This card can make a second attack during each Battle Phase. ● 3+ This card is unaffected by your opponent's monster effects, except monsters with Ice Counters on them. 3000/0 Spells/Traps: Flamefreeze Loch Field Spell When this card is activated: You can place 1 Ice Counter on each face-up monster on the field. Once per turn, if a "Flamefreeze" monster you control destroys an opponent's monster with an Ice Counter on it by battle: You can inflict damage to your opponent equal to that destroyed monster's ATK in the GY. If a "Flamefreeze" card(s) would be destroyed, you can remove 2 Ice Counters from anywhere on the field instead for each of those cards. Flamefreeze Permafrost Quick-Play Spell Target 1 "Flamefreeze" monster in your GY or that is banished; Special Summon it, then if you control "Flamefreeze Loch", immediately after this effect resolves, you can Synchro Summon 1 WATER Synchro Monster using that target and any monsters on the field with Ice Counters as materiel. You cannot Special Summon monsters the turn you activate this card, except WATER monsters. You can only activate 1 "Flamefreeze Permafrost" per turn. Flamefreeze Grotto Continuous Spell When this card is activated: You can excavate the top 3 cards of your Deck, add 1 excavated "Flamefreeze" card to your hand, also shuffle the remaining cards into the Deck. If a "Flamefreeze" monster(s) is Summoned: You can place 1 Ice Counter on each of those monsters. Once per turn: You can target 1 monster on each field with an Ice Counter on it; banish both those targets until the end of the next turn. You can only activate 1 "Flamefreeze Grotto" per turn. Flamefreeze Icicles Continuous Trap When your opponent Summons a monster(s): You can activate this card by targeting 1 of those monsters; place Ice Counters on that target equal to the number of "Flamefreeze" cards you control with different names. That target loses 200 ATK/DEF for each Ice Counter on it, also negate its effects while this card is on the field.
Dokutah
flake: really nice tuner. the 2nd effect is a bit specific version of Snow Dragon but given you dot want it to battle like ever its still nice with the card that self-pop your stuff (which is job for fire support cards i supposed) burner: big damage to finish the job while also convert the counter on your monster to opponent, which is neat since all ice counter based effect is negative former: the choice of making the searcher jump through quite number stipulation is kinda weird tbh. sure it even can search non-archetypal ones but its seems excessive. it has good number of counter generation though grower: super nice extender that even can modulate levels definite 3-off along with flake for easy 3 material crystal: okay, its a archetypal kaiju that extend and make tuner. whats not to love? magma: cool link (yes) that also has unique tuner substitution. but it also begs questions, since it only "have" level with counter and this card have to rely on other card to get it. sure, the means of getting counter is not difficult but can you go tuning level 0 with this thing or the tuner status will not valid? other then that the negation is a bit niche but not bad IMO match: woohoo a accel synchro kaiju. me likey. counter generation is decent too melter: really good synchro. its pretty much cruel with Match. you kaiju them and then as your opponent try to rebuild his field you either chip down their 2nd setup or just blast them off again eruptor: the real boss monster if you have the ideal hand, and terrifying it is. it pop almost anything your kaiju tuner missed. immune to most used card type in the game while having big stat that matters for the double attack and you you can do it safely with the Armades -esque mano-e-mano shutdown effect
