  1. @YCMaker There's a few concerns I have with the state of the site as it is. And I would like to propose a few changes, and see if you would be able to implement any. First on the agenda: The Spoilers. I think I speak for everyone when I say that the spoilers on this forum are bad. First off, we can't name them like the ones that came before it. Now, this is a nitpick that can be glanced over. What can't be glanced over is how else the spoilers falter compared to their predecessor. The spoilers eat one another. Anything below the top spoiler will be eaten by the top spoile

  2. I don't usually make cards mainly designed for my Archetypes, but this one is made for my Ice Slicer Archetype, so read about that Archetype here. This card is designed to quickly get a Field Spell, and is able to add monsters back from your GY, which can be handy since they quickly can fill it up, and also Special Summon one of those monsters, but it destroys itself when it does, however this may be useful, as freeing up the Extra Monster Zone can be important for them in certain situations.

  3. XD "Harpie's Copycats" sounds like an insult to the other Harpie monsters. They are more of a species than a bunch of "Harpie Lady wannabes" you know? xD I have to agree that it is pretty broken though. Hysteric Party had a bunch of drawbacks: -Trap Card means it is needs to be set -Discard cost -Continuous icon means your opponent can destroy it with a quick effect and that would stop it from doing its thing. -Even if you get to use it and revive a bunch of monsters, the card takes them away if something makes Hysteric Party leave the field in any way. -It only revives cards nam

  7. @blackdragon master Allow me to help you with some card grammar n.n I see that you mention the card was made many years ago and given some tweaks. There's something it still needs: material/Tribute usage prevention. As it is, it's an incredibly powerful card that allows you to bring any mobs in your GY to the field, then you'd be able to do all manner of combos by Special Summoning a lot of Extra Deck Monsters, among many other things. I'm unsure on how to correct this problem, but perhaps it'd be good measure that the clause that negates the monsters' effects until the end of the next

You can banish this card and a Level 3 monster both from your GY; add 1 "Triple Star Back-up" from your Deck to your hand. I'll mention for the purpose of better understanding the presence of conflict in a story, that it doesn't matter if the conflict is overarching or centralized, conflict is conflict, so regardless of the type, regardless if it's small or grand, if it's present in the work, it won't help us as an example for what the OP is striving for. You say "But overall, the stories in which I've mentioned actually have no protag/antag relation", but you got to understand that an antagonist is not a meanie wielding a sword and telling you "You can't pass to save the princess", the antagonist comes in a wide

They focus on equipping their Union monsters to their non-Union Warrior monsters, which provides them with battling strategies. Each Warrior monster can be Special Summoned while you have no cards in your Spell & Trap Zone, other than Equip Cards, and while equipped, your opponent must attack them if able, which combos well with their Union monsters and their only Spell Card, Gastown, which is a Field Spell so it won't mess with the "no cards in the Spell & Trap Zone" gi

  21. I mean, I've created them before, but sometimes I run out of cool ideas and need to add fluff pieces that could cascade into better ideas. Speaking of fluff... Stacked Deck of Kardcards (open) [Continuous Spell] All "Kardcard" monsters you control can, once per turn, not be destroyed by battle or card effect. If you control "Master of Cards" then all of your monsters are treated as if they also have the name "Kardcard Monster". If "Master of Cards" is destroyed, destroy this card, and if this card is destroyed then draw a card for every "Kardcard" monster on the field.

Well, yeah, it's a Trap, and you need info on the opponent's card, but nowadays that's a given considering the amount of add to hand stuff, and has no cost, and you hit where it hurts. I dunno. Mmm... how about something like: Activate 1 of the following effects: * Pay 500 LP; your opponent discards 1 card of their choice. * Pay 1000 LP; your opponent discards 1 random card. * Pay 1000 LP; your op

  23. Whew, ok, I went through 'em all. First thing that comes to mind is that I love the concept, it's pretty nice and original to use the turn count as central gimmick of an archetype. Also consider that you'll definitely need paper and pencil, because you're in for some counting. Before going into the cards, lemme say something important: did you consider any official cards that work with turn count? Because unfortunately this archetype cannot be if you consider Final Countdown, you have a fair number of cards that increase turn counter, destroyin the opponent easily with stalling tactics. Funnil

You can only activate 1 "Jug of Greed" per turn. - - - - Pot of Greed is always used as a comeback card in the anime/manga, but the troublesome part is when you just pull further ahead when you are already in the lead. It might still come across as a bit sacky of a topdeck but now the idea is that it is dead weight until you really need to bounce back. Also, I really dislike the approach Konami has taken to make legal version of Pot, crippling the Main (Pot of Des

  25. My apologies, but what you say is wrong. The very simple fact that you're mentioning there is a problem is by itself conflict. In truth, sorry again, but you couldn't have chosen a worse example than Interstellar. It is filled with tremendous conflicts. The conflict about Humanity being in risk of extinction due to lack of food, the conflict about father and daughter relationship, the conflicts the MC's crew face to solve the grand problem, such as approaching a planet whose gravity is bound to cause shifts in time that will cause them to be unable to see their beloved ones once more, since re

Want to get some ideas out of your head, but don't have the right wording/art for the card(s)? You've come to the right place! This topic is for people to post ideas for cards/archetypes without having to commit to actually making the cards for it. This thread can also be used to figure out preliminary wording for a gimmick or simply posting concepts that they think would be fun, but can't make for various reasons. You may also use this thread to post pictures that you want to

Most users put more effort into their creations in Realistic Cards, so those who review the cards here in Realistic Cards should do the same. There are rules on this site and its sections for reasons. If you want to compliment someone's thread, but can't be bothered to give a sentence or two of explanation...just give the thread a Like. You don't have to explain anything with Likes, you are acknowledging that you thought the thread was cool, and the users who made the original thread appreciates the Likes as well. It's easy.

I'm probably not the best to tell, but let's see... since the time of the horrendous Pendulums, we got Links and a new Master Rule along with it, which prevented you from using your Main Monsters Zones to directly Summon extra deck monsters there. Two new zones, the Extra Monsters Zones, were added, which are located in the middle of the board, above the 2nd and 4th Main Monster Zone. You could only use 1 of them (normally), and you'd summon your Extra Deck Monster there. Now, the Link Monsters are Extra Deck Monsters without Level / Rank, but a Link Rating instead of DEF, and 8 arrows pointin

  44. So... Most people won't know this about me, but generally when I play this sacred card game we all love so much, I have a tendency to place my cards in the center of my field first. My brother on the other hand, tended to place his cards on the right side of his field. This always bugged me as a kid, becuz I couldnt figure out which way was correct.. or if neither were. To remedy this, I had thought up the idea of an archetype that forces the player to think strategically about where exactly they play their cards, as it could seriously impact the duel - for better, or for worse. Problem was, I

Realistic Drawing always becomes a bit of an "uncanny valley" until one day it doesn't. Just look at my awfully drawn request of "Maria la del Barrio" (a character from an old Mexican Telenovela) Though just 1 single attempt at realism later I can say it is at least better than the previous one xD
