  1. I don't particularly care for insects much, especially mosquitoes and flies (but don't we all). Also roaches. ==== If we're going for mammalian / avian species, then unsure on definitives at the moment. 1. Rats for health reasons (not like I didn't see a few running around the last time I ate in Chinatown a few years ago) 2. Dogs to an extent, mostly because some experiences a few years back because owner was negligent in keeping them on-leash and territorial issues with neighbor's big dog on backyard side such that I couldn't go in my own yard. At the present time, latter no longer exists and presumably former either died, got confiscated for repeated problems, etc. (You can ask about this via PM if curious) It's ironic that I dislike my zodiac animal to an extent, but yeah, blame irresponsible owners for this and dog not knowing property (I've been living here longer than said dog). I do like them when on-leash and owners train them properly, which has been the case for most part. Other than that, I really don't hate certain animals; part of that might be on how strict we are with imports or certain animals are not seen here (i.e. we don't have any form of deer in Hawai'i [used to on other islands, but they were shot down] so...no collisions)
  2. Hawaiian version of "How Far I'll Go" (still waiting for Moana to get its full dub in 'Ōlelo Hawai'i)
  3. 5K. Also make sure they want to be in it, but that should be implied by now.
  4. Hawaiian mythology has its fair share, but those weren't discussed in detail (even during that 200-level Hawaiian religion course I took as filler). Things of some note, I guess (note that because I'm not native Hawaiian, these were covered mostly in college courses and not passed down): The menehune (which aren't really spooky)Night Marchers stuffMaybe the thing about bringing pork over Pali Highway on O'ahu because it represents the body form of Kamapua'a and something to do with crossing boundaries.I think there was something about ghosts in certain places, but yeah, nothing. ==== Ethnic-wise, nothing either.
  5. Probably Christmas and Easter (or really any of the major ones I get day off) === Late reply, but I probably forgot to answer. So yeah, new question please.
  6. Cyber Ouroboros Level 2 | DARK | Machine | Effect 100/600 If this card is banished: You can draw 1 card, then send 1 Machine monster from your hand or Deck to the GY. During your next Standby Phase, if this card is banished: You can Special Summon this card, but banish it when it leaves the field. You can only use each effect of "Cyber Ouroboros" once per turn. Now it's a technical Foolish for Machines again if you decide to Overload Fusion or something. Oh and it can recur itself too (which I suppose fits into Ouroboros usually being in an infinity symbol at times) Trickstar Band Sweet Guitar
  7. Let's try to keep the requirements within reach of Decks that can actually field enough. Typhoon Blaster Wyvern Rank 7 | WIND | Wyrm | Xyz | Effect 2800/2200 2+ Level 7 WIND monsters Cannot be targeted by an opponent's card effects. Once per turn (Quick Effect): You can detach any number of materials from this card (min. 1); return a number of cards on the field to the hand, equal to the number of materials detached + 1. FIRE Cyberse
  8. That was just the fan translation for its Japanese name and not officially what it translated into (Shōkanju = Invoked/Summoned Beast; not Eidolon). So yeah, the name is fine (or will be permitted) /skip
  9. Overclocking Connector Link 2 | DARK | Cyberse | Link | Effect 2200 SW SE 2 monsters, except Tokens Cannot be used as Link Material. If this card attacks or is targeted for an attack: Destroy this card after damage calculation, then lose 3000 LP. ==== Well, think of it as a generic Link 2 with down arrows. Blowing itself up and losing 3K is pretty shitty in its own right (most of the time). ==== Ice-themed Link (just something to do with ice or stuff associated with freezing. I leave the design at your discretion as you got free reign on everything else.)
  10. Only listening to this one out of interest and other stuff (also because thereʻs only so much I want to hear The Star Spangled Banner). (Also this one after, but you guys probably know how I feel about the song)
  11. Probably the usual nowadays. 1. Be on here doing stuff. (I did have some plans in store for CC similar to last year, however my schedule may not allow for it) 2. Watching anime. 3. Probably upper division work (boo....) I haven't dressed up for Halloween since 2007-ish or something, mostly due to lack of time to go costume parties. (IDK, the only amount of difference is that I just wear my Pokemon gloves most of the day as opposed to early morning for reasons.) === I also doubt I'll end up giving candy to kids on my street; haven't seen any for a while and my parents usually don't like people over.
  12. Well, we just got the last of the World Legacy archetypes (or series for Guardragon), but sure. World Legacy - "World Star" Level 5 | DARK | Machine | Effect 2200/1600 If a monster(s) is Special Summoned from the Extra Deck (except during the Damage Step): You can Tribute this card; destroy those monsters and 1 other monster your opponent controls with equal or less ATK than that monster. If a Link Monster is sent to the GY while you control this Normal Summoned card: You can Special Summon it to your field, then add 1 "World Legacy" card from your GY to your hand. You can only use each effect of "World Legacy - "World Star"" once per turn. Mekk-Knightmare Spectrum Supra (Supposed to be a corrupted version of the Link 3, but you figure out how to work this to your liking.)
  13. Kitsune of the Sapphire Sky Link 3 | WIND | Beast | Link | Effect 2500 W E S 2+ Beast monsters While this card points to a monster, Beast monsters you control cannot be targeted or destroyed by an opponent's cards or effects. This card can attack all monsters your opponent controls once each. If this card inflicts battle damage to your opponent: You can target 1 card your opponent controls; banish it. Alright, let's try doing a Link version of Lees. (Though by flavor, we know she went evil on everyone, however you can probably think of something. Maybe reflect pre-corruption or you can go with it as a Knightmare; really up to you.) I'll assume its ATK is 1000 like the other two, but yeah, make sure you mention its ATK too.
  14. "It started with a small loan of a couple thousand LP." - Donaldius J. Leonis Beast monsters that revolve around massive LP gain and damaging the opponent when you do, not unlike stock market investment and certain trade practices to make the 1% richer. Each of the members in this archetype has some form of effect that triggers when an archetype member does stuff (whether it's searching a card, Special Summoning, monster/backrow destruction, even LP gain off each other). What's the drawback? They're reliant on their initial summon (get Warning'd or something; dead) and prone to negation, but get around that and you essentially have a monopoly on the game and your opponent's resources. They do have some enabling cards to bypass the former, but obviously it costs LP to start doing it. Nonetheless, have fun becoming the 1% and making yourself the hated King of Beasts in the financial world. [spoiler=card(s)] Mil-LION-aire Oligarch Level 8 | EARTH | Beast | Effect 2800/2000 If you control 2 or more "Mil-LION-aire" monsters with different names, you can Special Summon this card (from your hand or GY). If a "Mil-LION-aire" monster you control activates/resolves its effects: Gain 500 LP, also your opponent loses 500 LP. While the difference between your LP and your opponent's LP is 6000 or more, this card cannot be targeted by your opponent's effects. Mil-LION-aire Start-Up Normal Spell Lose 1500 LP; Special Summon 2 Level 4 or lower "Mil-LION-aire" monsters from your hand or Deck with different names. Their effects are negated until the end of this turn. [i made a second card to flesh out the latter part of the prompt. Please note that you are only required to make one [1].) I did not intend for this to be a political statement, and I expect all of you not to engage in this type of discussion either with Custom Cards as politics have no place here. Intrusive Perforvine
  15. Let's do Level 2 Beast stuff, I guess. Raccoon Shogun Link 2 | EARTH | Beast | Link | Effect 1800 SW SE 2 Level 2 or lower Beast monsters If this card is Link Summoned: You can Special Summon up to 2 Level 2 or lower Beast monsters from your hand or Deck. A monster Special Summoned from the Extra Deck using Level 2 or lower Beast monsters as material gains 1000 ATK, also it cannot be targeted or destroyed by your opponent's cards or effects. ==== "Guardragon" Link
  16. [spoiler=2 months later and I finally do the vector thing] If it looks similar to my Flash Flyer - Hayashi avatar (the one I linked to a while back when posting the raw sketch), it's mostly because I borrowed the eye stuff and fur color. I didn't add antlers though, but I think you can figure out what it's supposed to be by now. (Also using my current uniform, which does have the logo on top. One I initially drew has my 2016 uniform, without it.) BG is literally the part of the water park where I work, though I cropped out half of it and added some other effects on it. There are other W&W locations across the globe, just so you know. Now to see what I end up drawing this month (again, besides free body diagrams and flow nets for 355).
  17. Spring of the Fallen Continuous Spell When this card is activated: Gain 100 LP for each card in the GYs, During your next Standby Phase: gain 200 LP for each card in the GY when this card was activated. This amount increases by 100 during each Standby Phase. While you have 7 or more monsters with different names in your GY, you take no battle or effect damage. (idea is to play this when there's a ton of cards in the GY, protect this and then get a ton of LP. So...side this against heavy mill Decks and the LP gain goes up. It also relies on you to note how many cards were in the GY at the time you play this, so...take notes) Something that allows for Synchro, Xyz or Link Summoning using materials from the Deck or GY.
  18. [spoiler=Side note] To be fair, "haka" only applies to the Māori one that certain college teams have decided to "Americanize" without knowing their meaning; UH included to an extent, even if we do have similar things in other Polynesian cultures. Hawaiʻi has the haʻa*, Samoans have the Siva Tau, Tonga has Kailao/Sipi Tau, Rapa Nui/Easter Island has Hako (which is probably similar, but idk) and Fiji has Cibi. IDK about rest of Oceania. * yeah, I found out about this in 2015 after UH got a new one to replace the All Blacks haka theyʻve used before that. Hereʻs a link for those who care. Drahaka is a clan of Dragon monsters that derive their names from various [war] deities in Polynesian culture (and terms similar in origin within languages). As their name suggests, they are generally battle-reliant to do things but carry various effects that protect them from most forms of trickery the opponent pulls (i.e. hand traps). They otherwise have off-battle effects that shut down the opponentʻs options when multiple members are out, and gets better the more you have. As far as Extra Deck goes, theyʻre usually Fusion and Link. Either way, the scales of these dragons are constantly clanging and the soul of Oceania rises further in their blood. [spoiler=Sample card] Drahaka Chief - Tamanuiterā Level 8 | LIGHT | Dragon | Fusion | Effect 3000/2000 3 "Drahaka" monsters This card can attack all monsters your opponent controls once each. Your opponent cannot activate cards or effects during the Battle Phase. Up to twice per turn, if a "Drahaka" monster destroys an opponentʻs monster by battle: You can banish 1 card your opponent controls or in their GY. Tamanuiterā is the sun god in Māori mythology and the haka originated from one of his two wivesʻs presence, least according to Wikipedia and stuff. Makes sense to design this one on Māori because it is theirs. ==== To keep with the somewhat Pacific Island thing... Puʻeo Akua Nui (Assuming that my partial knowledge of Hawaiian grammar isnʻt shitty [as I know what the words mean individually], translates to "High owl deity")
  19. Dimensional Timestream Dragon Rank 10 | LIGHT | Dragon | Xyz | Pendulum | Effect 3800 | 3000 Scale 12 PE = Monsters you control gain 1000 ATK/DEF. If this card is in your Pendulum Zone: You can send 3 or more monsters you control and/or from your hand to the GY whose total Levels/Ranks equal 20 or more; Special Summon this card from your Pendulum Zone. You can only use this effect of "Dimensional Timestream Dragon" once per turn. ME = 3+ Level 10 monsters Must first be Xyz Summoned. Once per turn: You can detach 2 materials from this card, then declare Monster Cards or Spell/Trap Cards; banish all other cards on the field with the declared card types, then you can equip 1 of those banished cards to this card as material. If this card in the Monster Zone is destroyed by battle or card effect: You can place it in your Pendulum Zone. For something easier... Make a "Phantom Knights" / "Dark Rebellion" monster
  20. Eikthyrnir of the Nordic Heavens Link 2 | LIGHT | Beast | Link | Effect 1600 S SE 2 "Nordic" monsters "Aesir" monsters this card points to cannot be targeted or destroyed by your opponent's cards or effects. Once per turn: You can activate 1 of these effects. ● You can banish 1 other "Nordic" monster you control or from your hand, then shuffle 1 card your opponent controls or from their hand into the Deck. ● Target up to 3 of your banished "Nordic" cards; shuffle all 3 into the Deck, then draw 1 card. If this Link Summoned card leaves the field by an opponent's card: You can Special Summon 2 "Nordic" monsters with different names from your hand, Deck and/or GY. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eik%C3%BEyrnir (Well, it does give Nordics more removal options and retrieves stuff that Gullveig banishes. Also yeah, banish Alviss from this card; make the opponent lose stuff.) Link 2 "Shiranui"
  21. (You really need to get up to date with the current lists...) Besides Cyber Jar and Stein, the other three are unbanned right now. Did you not see Stratos coming back to 1 this list [yes it finally happened] and Towers going to 3? CED is probably still banned until we get the neutered errata in TCG-land [OCG has it at 1 right now iirc]. Amalgamation of the Exiled Level 12 | DARK | Fiend | Fusion | Effect 5000/5000 "Chaos Emperor Dragon - Envoy of the End" + "Elemental HERO Stratos" + "Cyber Jar" + "Apoquilphort Towers" + "Cyber Stein" Must be Fusion Summoned using the above materials. This card's Fusion Summon cannot be negated. Once per turn: You can pay LP until you have 100 left; banish all other cards on the field, in the player's hands and in the GY(s), face-down, then your opponent loses 500 LP for each. Cards or effects cannot be activated in response to this effect's activation. "El-Shaddoll Construct" + "Trishula, Dragon of the Ice Barrier"
  22. Let's fix Sensei because people are pissed that he does nothing for the Deck and isn't practical. Shiranui Sensei Level 2 | FIRE | Zombie | Effect 600/0 If this card is in your GY and you control a "Shiranui" monster: You can Special Summon this card and 1 "Shiranui" monster with a different name from your GY, but banish both when this card leaves the field. If this card is used as Synchro Material for a Zombie monster: You can draw 1 card. If this card is banished: You can target 1 Zombie monster you control; its ATK is doubled until the end of this turn. You can only use each effect of "Shiranui Sensei" once per turn. Changes: - Only need 1 "Shiranui" on field and floats another one too for Synchro stuff if needed. - Draw if you Synchro with it. - Doubles the ATK of a Zombie (obviously the payoff sucks if under 600 ATK, but...doubling is much better) I don't play Shiranui so...hopefully this at least made Sensei less sucky. How about "Danger! Dogman!"
  23. (I really don't think Kaiba.dek really needs another toy, but I guess give him something.) Blue-Eyes Neutron Dragon Link 2 | LIGHT | Dragon | Link | Effect 3000 SW S 2 Level 8 "Blue-Eyes" monsters with different names This card's maximum number of attacks per turn is equal to the number of "Blue-Eyes" monsters this card points to +1. Once per turn, if this card inflicts battle damage to your opponent: You can target 1 card your opponent controls or in their hand; destroy it. If this Link Summoned card leaves the field: You can target 1 "Blue-Eyes White Dragon" in your GY; Special Summon it. "Neo-Spacian" / "Neos"
  24. Submersible Carrier Aero Shark Rank 3 | WATER | Fish | Xyz | Effect 1900/1000 2 Level 3 monsters Once per turn (Quick Effect): You can detach 1 material from this card; inflict 100 damage to your opponent for each banished card. During the End Phase, if this card has no materials: You can pay 1000 LP; attach 1 Level 3 or lower WATER monster you control or in your GY to this card as material. Changes - Quick Effect - Burns more and accounts for all banished cards, regardless of position (or if someone played Desires) - Attaches a material every turn if you got none. I have to keep the burn small because Desires on its own is a min. 1000 for one detach, and that doesn't account for other stuff. (So...blame Desires for existing somewhat) Shiranui Skillsaga (uh, it's terrible right now, even as generic, so...remake it how you see fit)
  25. http://yugioh.wikia.com/wiki/Paleozoic (We literally only have 1 archetype named Paleozoic or even based on this stuff, so...) Vice Junk Warrior Level 7 | DARK | Warrior | Fusion | Effect 2600 | 2000 "Vice Dragon" + "Junk Warrior" When this card is Synchro Summoned: You can have this card gain ATK equal to half the combined ATK of all Level 2 or lower or Tuner monsters in your GY. If this card is in your GY (Quick Effect): You can Special Summon this card, but its ATK/DEF are halved. You can only use this effect of "Vice Junk Warrior" once per turn. (The ATK gain works for monsters that are either Level 1 or 2 OR is a Tuner; not specifically Level 2 or lower Tuners. Just need to clarify that) "Supreme King Z-ARC" + 1 "Yubel" monster
