  1. The world of Avatar: The Last Airbender is confirmed to expand! Animated movie upcoming, as well as new products from Michael DiMartino and Bryan Konietzko, who'll lead the newly created Avatar Studios.

    And the best part:

    M. Night Shyamalan IS  NOT involved!

Yeah, as they're basically starting, there's few info out there, but they have plans for a whole new series beyond the movie.

Thinking about it, Korra was technologically early to mid 20th century.  If she lived for a significant length of time, we could end up seeing the Avatar equivalent of the 90s 😆

Actually, this comment somehow reminded me of a conversation I had with some friends many years ago, in one of our crazy Avatar marathons (1 season in a day, yeah, we were sick). Anywho, I told them that I considered very interesting the possibility of another Avatar series which would take place in the future. Not that spiritualism is not present any futuristic stories (in some cases it's even central part of the plot) but it is generally considered that the more technology, the farther Humanity goes from the spiritual aspect. It'd be intriguing to see an Avatar struggling in a world where people is is too engaged in banality, and how the Avatar would fight with technologically advanced enemies.
