Speaking of replacements and new characters... I'll still have to decide what to throw in. I know that I want to hold off on Azumi and Riley until the final arc (Arc 4 if I recall correctly), and with LERNA's dead, that makes 3 characters I can add in, but...

...

Anyway, will LERNA still drop a Grief Seed? And if so, can I have it for one character that I'm thinking about investing?

Right, so... ... ... now I have to consider who my replacement for Jeanne shall be.

Meanwhile, I need to ask about Mr. Zurkon and The Winged Dragon of Ra.

Why not just make Ratchet an official character? He's helped out a lot for an NPC, so he deserves some kind of promotion. Clank could easily count as his "familiar".

You'll find out what's going on with Ra when I post.

You can either make Zurkon Alister's Familiar, or I'll have him continue to play a full part.  This time with a little bit more on my shoulders (forgive my lack of play).  Right now I'm trying to go about how and when I should intro Kratos and Madara.  I think I'll start with the God of War.

Oh, also. . . am I the only one who can picture Arthuria's crown being slightly to big for his head and sometimes slipping over his face as he speaks?  It's hilarious and adorable.  "We must fight--!  *crown to face* GAH."

So, Merciful Idiot. I asked something in my last post about shenanigans for a future version of Shadronus where he is mortal in the present, a spirit in the past, and a digital self in the future? Care to respond please?

As long as you don't keep it balanced, it's alright.

Forgot about that, but actually, I'm not so sure ^_^; I mean, she was able to die peacefully thanks to Lydia. In any other circumstance, she would've, but Lydia's world of hope enabled a miracle to occur and her Grief Seed instead became the Galina you guys all saw in the meadow.

BUT, I'm pretty sure that Isamy has Grief Seeds in stock. Most notably Kriemhild Gretchen's (the normal one, not the universal-om-nom-nom one).

Bugger... I wanted LERNA's one specifically.

And I can't exactly say that the character I'm thinking of managed to snatch Gretchen's seed via unknown methods and scurry away to Camelot before Isamy could respond, can I? If not, that's one character idea down the drain <_<

...

I'ma start digging for back-up plans regardless.

Also, are we taking a break, or are we jumping into Arc 3?

Both. We're jumping straight into Arc 3, but because my exams start tomorrow and will be lasting a week, so I won't be able to design the next world map until Friday or Saturday. Until then, you'll have to rely on your own subplots and interact with other characters~ Sorry, gaiz.

...

[spoiler=OH, AND JUST BECAUSE, HERE'S A LIST OF EASIER WAYS YOU COULD'VE DEFEATED LERNA:]

1. Use a legendary, powerful magical weapon.

Like Excalibur. LERNA could only copy powers related to the person, so the easiest way to kill her would've been to bring a really powerful weapon (preferably a holy one) in with you and slay her in no time flat. But be careful, because if the thing in question can be identified as sentient, it would be copied.

2. Use an advanced, powerful scientific weapon.

Like a nuclear bomb. As above, LERNA couldn't copy objects, only things she understood as people. The weapon that Foster used was a good idea, however, it relied upon basic atomic principle which she didn't possess. The only reason it succeeded in the first place was due to using the electrons from the other characters' attacks.

3. Attack from long range.

At the start of any battle, LERNA would possess no powers but her own physical capabilities. As soon as you enter the barrier, if you launched out a gigantic kamehameha, you would take her by surprise and immediately obliterate her. Her copying power had a limited range, after all.

4. Seal away your magical powers.

Admittedly, this is a dangerous tactic, but note that LERNA only copied powers, not the basic physical capabilities of your characters, so a Shinigami could probably solo her if he sealed his own powers and used an ordinary sword.

5. Keep it low-scale.

The reason why LERNA was so powerful was because more powerful characters kept rushing at her, granting her a wide array of abilities. One character, alone, has a far better chance than tons of characters, united.

To hell with it, I'll try to make this CounterCorpthatstoleGretchenGriefSeedfromIsamy work, but if it doesn't then... it just doesn't, I guess :/

"Well, at least I know where Kuro no Tsurugi really is now. The hard part's getting it back..."

Username: Admiral_Stalfos19
Name: Aesir
Age: 23
Gender: Male
Appearance: Ever since his Esper had reacted to the Grief Seed he now possesses, the pupils and irises of Aseir's eyes had become blanker and more soulless, and the sclerae have started to darken considerably. They don't look the part though, but they've changed to a pale grey. On top of that, Aesir's Esper is now giving off an aura due to its reaction with the Grief Seed. This aura appears similar to one would see of a heat wave, and encases Aesir's entire body, along with anything he touches or is on his person.
[spoiler=Pic:]154da4ab8c31dd2ef0963805351a01f9388c1678

Origin: http://forum.yugiohcardmaker.net/topic/305686-densetsu-kuro-no-tsurugi-legend-of-the-black-sword-pg-13not-startedaccepting/
Biography: Three years had passed, and despite looking all over the world for it, Aesir still never managed to find the legendary pitch-black sword known as Kuro no Tsurugi. However, he did run into someone who did; and that someone was none other than Isamy Maximus, the Herald of Chaos and Entropy. Since she was the first of the two sides' leaders to find him, Isamy offered a position on The Divines for Aesir to take up. Aesir however, having never been truly taken in by anything or anyone, had no intention of serving The Divines, and when he got an answer from asking her why she needed The Divines, Aesir seriously convinced himself that Isamy was in over her head. But he decided it was in his best interests to play along for now, and get a free tour of Isamy's castle. This way, when it would finally come for the Counter Corps to storm said castle, then Aesir could easily lead the way there when he got to them. He'd have to escape first, but anyway...

Sooner rather than later, Aesir found himself inside Isamy's vault, where she said she kept all the multiverse's artifacts... including Kuro no Tsurugi. It was then that he decided he'd ask a hypothetical question: Say if Aesir were to borrow one of the artifacts based on the condition that it was a weapon that he needed in order to help the Divines, would Isamy be willing to give it to him? He asked this with confidence, knowing that even if she were to try to read his mind, he'd be immune to the attempt thanks to his Esper being of the Moon Affinity. However, instead of getting the sword they both knew he was after, Isamy tossed over Kriemhild Gretchen's Grief Seed instead. Aesir was disheartened by the fact that Isamy refused to give him the sword, but his interest in the Grief Seed peaked when it reacted with his Esper.

Even as Isamy had long gone, Aesir remained behind to try to figure out how to get past the containment field surrounding Kuro no Tsurugi. He tried scratching it in specific areas with a hidden blade, crushing and then scattering a black egg to see if any part of its insides would breach the field, and even infusing his weapons with the dark magic instilled by his Esper. But it was all futile. However, just as he left, Aesir noticed a device that, once he pressed, transported him back to Allegretto, where he was searching for the sword before Isamy arrived. Incidentally, it was where Arthuria Pendagron, the King of Knights and the new Counter Guardian, was waiting for him. Aesir told him what he knew of Isamy's plot, most of which Arthuria already knew about, and showed him the Grief Seed that was handed it by Isamy. With that, he earned his place inside the Counter Corps, and is now inside the castle of Camelot, hoping he'd be united with Kuro no Tsurugi.

Personality: Aesir is a lot darker and more brooding than he used to be. This is likely because of the greater understanding of the threat at hand, but the Grief Seed that he possesses, which is having on obvious effect on his Esper, may be playing a part as well. Still, even though his Esper has grown more and more corrupt, Aesir's mind still stubbornly resists the urge to give in to despair. Aside from that, Aesir hasn't changed much at all. He still believes that everyone's guilty of something, but deserves a second chance to redeem themselves, albeit only one. And he's still secretive about his past, which is... rather complicated to say the least. He doesn't often get asked about himself, but when he does, he'll tend to withhold as much information as he can, without sounding as though he's dodging the question. However, he's always been vigilant of everyone around him; he still looks over his shoulder and watches his back, which he still has to a wall whenever there's one nearby.

Faction: Counter Corps
Important Artefact Stolen: Kuro no Tsurugi
Powers: While his weapons, from his black eggs to his hidden blades to his bread-and-butter crossbow, do just fine against Jack and Jill and what have you, Aesir relies on his Esper to handle any supernatural entities. Being of the Moon Affinity, this Esper seeps darkness out from his body, a process of which seems to be amplified by the Grief Seed that he has in his possession. How this is possible is unknown. However, what is known is that as a result, Aesir's attacks will inflict pure despair on those that get struck, until they give into the despair completely and lose the will to fight.

Mystic Infusion: Aesir can infuse his weapons with the Esper that courses through his body. Once done, his crossbow will fire bolts of pure dark magic, with a firing rate comparable to a light machine gun or an assault rifle. Then there's the black eggs he carries, which will explode like grenades when infused with the dark magic, and the hidden blades will infuse a dark aura inside the resulting wound, which draws all projectiles, magical or otherwise, upon the inflicted.

Companion from the Shadows: Using his own or a nearby shadow, Aesir can draw it out using his Esper and use it against his enemies. The shadow can take the form of a lion with an aura that improves allies' strength and the power of their attacks, a bull with an aura that reduces the damage they take, an eagle with a speed and reflex improving aura or an angel whose aura has all three qualities covered, albeit to a lesser effect. The companion dissipates after a few minutes, but cannot take damage.

Kriemhild Gretchen Avatar: This ability remains locked until the later stages of Arc 3. Just when Aesir begins to lose all hope in himself, he'll have a mental connection with Kriemhild Gretchen, the Witch whose Grief Seed he wields. From there, he'll be able to create an avatar based off the Witch, which she herself will take control of. Kriemhild Gretchen will often threaten to end all life within 10 days, but whether she's actually capable of such with the avatar Aesir provides her is unknown. Regardless, it can be enough of a threat to stop the fighting altogether so Aesir can unsummon her, even if it proves to be hollow.

Permissions were granted by Merciful for my current post. I will make a post with Matthew and Nero when I have more of a moment.

[spoiler=Sykes Huegares:]

"Your death will be swift, yet filled with my granted honor."

Username: Final Fantasy Revolution

Name: Sykes Huegares

Age: 112 <Appearing 26>

Gender: Male

Appearance: Sykes is six feet tall and weighs two hundred and ten pounds, with a fairly muscular build. His hair is short and kept in a spiked style and he has no facial hair. His eyes colors are inverted with a blue pupil and a black iris. Sykes wears a white long sleeve shirt that has a vertical stripe down the middle with a white overcoat hanging about his shoulders; his pants are also white with a solid black band that match his black shoes. His right hand is completely skeletal but covered by a black leather glove so as not to be seen.

Origin: Bleach, The Call of the Shinigami

Biography: It has been seventy six years since the Depthicana have taken over Soul Society and the Human World. Hueco Mundo had already been within their control, and they had lost few members within their ranks. However, their take over did not sit well with Sykes and he no longer wanted the Depthicana to threaten the existence of other worlds. One by one he vanquished the other members of his brethren; even their leader could not beat his power as his lack of wanting to fight was his downfall.

Over time he had focused his powers to eliminate most of the weaknesses he once possessed, this is when his world started to crumble. Both Isamy and Emiya had approached him, only to have their offers declined. He left his world behind to die, there was nothing left for him to do but find the mentioned 'Door to Origin' himself. With its powers he would recreate his world and fix the problems the Depthicana caused. He will also use the door's power to uphold his version of honor and justice.

Personality: Sykes is calm and collected both off and on the battlefield. He's never been on the make rash or hasty decisions and tends to analyze his opponent. Sykes has a heavy sense of honor and will not shun it for any reason at all; his fights always tend to be honorable even if his opponent had no chance of wining. The only thing his focus is on now is the hope that he will be able to change things with the power of the door and he will vanquish anything standing in the way.

Faction: Neutral; shunned Isamays offer immediately and debated with Emiya for quite some time before declining his.

Important Artifact Stolen: The Kings Key technically, but nothing that Sykes cares for..

[spoiler=Powers:]

High Amounts of Strength- As the lone member of the Depthicana, Sykes' physical strength is quite high.

High Amounts of Speed, Agility, and Reflex- As the lone member of the Depthicana, Sykes' speed, agility, and reflexes are all quite high.

High  Amount of Endurance and Durability- Endurance and Durability are actually Sykes' weakest points compared to any other member of the

Depthicana. However, compared to someone not within their ranks, his Endurance and Durability are quite high.

Keen Intellect- Sykes possess a sharp intellect and is very adept at problem solving and planning.

Perceptive Combatant- Skyes is very skilled within the art of combat. He can analyze his opponent's weaknesses and flaws very well and is adept at fighting multiple opponents.

Master Swordsman- Sykes has high talent in the art of swordsmanship.

Hand to Hand Expert- Originally, Sykes' blades had their own weaknesses and could not be weld very long due to certain restraints. He was forced to resort to perfecting the art of hand to hand combat as his main source of offensive. Although Sykes can now wield his blades freely, he prefers this method of fighting and considers an opponent highly powerful if he has to draw a blade.

Overwhelming Presence- Sykes' energy is powerful and forceful, so much so that many opponents get the sense of impending doom when within his presence.

Power Sensing and Tracking Ability- Sykes is adept at sensing the power of attacks and enemies, as well as tracking enemies through their power used by their unique energy signature.

Instant Darkness- Sykes has the ability to turn into black mist and move about the battlefield in an invulnerable state. This ability can only be utilized once every five posts and can only be used to move up to fifty meters.

[spoiler=Kido]

As a member of the Depthicana, Sykes has mastery over certain Kido spells that he can utilize during battle. He can use them all with no enchantments if desired.

~Bakudo #61. Rikujōkōrō (六杖光牢, Six Rods Prison of Light) Summons six thin, wide beams of light that slam into a target's midsection, holding them in place. The target is then unable to move any part of their body including the parts that were not struck by the beams.

~Bakudo #73. Tozanshō (倒山晶, Inverse Mountain Crystal) Creates an inverted pyramid-shaped barrier around the caster.

~Hado #63. Raikōhō (雷吼炮, Thunder Roar Sear) Fires a massive wave of yellow energy at a target.

~Hado #91. Senjū Kōten Taihō (千手皎天汰炮, Thousand-Hand Bright Heaven Culling-Sear) Summons several spears of light that are all fired towards the same focal point where the intended target resides. The culminating explosion is exceedingly devastating.

[spoiler=Equipment]

Cross/Deya/Croya

Cross and Deya are a pair of Rapier's that are actually one in the same blade, Croya is the name given to the weapon after they merge upon Sykes' release. Cross is weld by Sykes' right hand and Deya is weld by Sykes' left hand, switching whenever Sykes switches hands or reaches to that side of his belt. Sykes' durability and endurance decrease while within a released state.

Cross:

Cross has a jet black blade with a silver handle and guard, the bottom of the handle is decorated with a red jewel.

~Cross can focus a giant red energy beam out of the red jewel on the bottom of its handle that is similar to a cero. (This attack can be focused into a beam or up to three blasts.)

~Cross can manipulate and travel through dimensional fabric, thus giving Cross the ability to attack from far ranged. This also gives Cross the ability to essentially attack wherever Sykes can see or wherever there is space to make an attack. Cross's dimensional capabilities are considered 'perfect'.

Deya:

Deya has a sterling silver blade with a jet black handle and guard, the bottom of the handle is decorated with a blue jewel.

~Deya can focus blue energy from the blue jewel on the bottom of its handle. (This attack can be formed into powerful barriers or shields.)

~Deya can manipulate space and dimensional fabric only around the user, giving Deya itself no additional attack means. Deya's dimensional capabilities are considered 'perfect'.

Croya:

Sykes begins by throwing his sword up into the air so it spins, while uttering his release phrase: Casting an Honorable and Judgmental Glance... Sykes' right sleeve is disintegrated and his whole right arm becomes a skeletal arm. A new blade lands in his now skeletal right arm; the sword's appearance changes to a light blue blade with a red handle and a black ruby.

~Croya possess the abilities of both Cross and Deya

~This release gives Sykes an incredible boost of physical strength and speed but lowers his endurance and durability.
