Willieh
Is funked up. We're all entitled the "Right to pursue happiness" but then later they have sub-standards to define what your happiness can be. What's the point of freedom if our freedom is defined and limited? This is basically just for you to tell your thoughts about this particular topic. Happiness. And how you would pursue it. The government and how it sucks. You know, the usual stupid sheet people jabroni about.
Bloodrun
The government sets the consequences, you can still do the actions, if your willing to take the consequences.
Lemniscate
The government is there to say, "Be who you are, as long as it doesn't infringe upon anyone else." That's why things like murder, stealing, and every other crime are considered crimes. It is about the limits of freedom, and the way that everyone is entitled to live. Larxene
As long as I have internet access and a few decent video games, I'm happy. I don't really give a sheet about what the government is doing these days, as long as it doesn't take away my two main forms of entertainment. The government is there to collect revenue from it's citizens. Safety is hardly a decent exchange for how much they infringe on our basic rights as humans. They do not limit without reason. At least the current one.
Jericho
FICA is bullcrap. Why should I have to pay into Social Security and pay senior citizens health care costs? We don't need people living into their 90's. They're just a drain on society.

For a government to truly gain a sense of freedom, the emotional well-being of it's people should be put into the equation. They may be a drain, but they are a drain we will actively support. No. No it shouldn't. Emotional well being has nothing to do with freedom. Which is just another reason the economy is in the crapper.

Then I want you to define what you, yourself, would define: Freedom.
Jericho
Freedom is the ability to do what ever the hell you want as long as you don't physically hurt anybody, cause damage to property, defraud, slander, steal, descriminate, or cause such previously stated actions. CrabHelmet
Those who understand congress understand that it can do very little without a disappointingly legal form of bribery known as "pork" that drains the federal government's money (that would be your tax money) in order to fund such important projects as a statue of some guy in some city in North Dakota.
