I'll be making cards for Decks based around the characters. About 20 cards per deck, other cards would be pre-existing.

To Evolve is to Tribute your current monster to Special Summon a Pokemon monster from your hand.

If a card states it cannot be evolved into, such as "Satoshi's Pikachu", it means a card like "Pichu" (not included in Starter Deck - Satoshi), whose effect reads:

This card cannot be destroyed by battle. If this face-up card is attacked' date=' you must Tribute this card to Special Summon 1 card with "Pikachu" in its name from your hand. If you cannot, either remove this card from play or discard your entire hand.[/quote']

Even though "Satoshi's Pikachu" is a "Pikachu", it can't be Evolved into.

By Tributing a face-up "Charmander", "Bulbasaur", "Squirtle", "Totodile", "Cyndaquil", "Chikorita", "Torchic", "Treecko", "Mudkip", "Piplup", "Chimchar", or "Turtwig", Evolve Summon 1 monster in the Tributed monster's card text.

Add 1 Level 4 or lower Pokemon monster from your Deck to your hand.

 

Elixir (x1)

Normal Spell Card

Select 1 Level 4 or lower Pokemon monster and pay 1000 Life Points. The selected monster can attack twice this turn.

 

Dugtrio Underground Counter Attack! (x1)

Counter Trap Card

Tribute 1 Pokemon monster. Negate the activation of a Spell, Trap, or monster effect.
