A few weeks ago, I borrowed this interesting book from the library...

Mind if I read something from the book?

"We are surrounded every day by an invisible sea of synthetic chemicals, and our bodies absorb them like sponges until we are toxic.

We consume foods that have been depleted of essential natural healing nutrients. These nutrients have been replaced by synthetic chemical additives.

These additives in our processed foods interact synergistically in our bodies with synthetic chemicals absorbed from our water, our air, and our consumer products, weakening our immune systems.

Once weakened, we become sucseptuble to illnesses and diseases that medical practitioners treat with synthetic chemical drug compounds that often prove more toxic to us.

And this cycle in our culture and in our lives repeats itself over and over...."

Discuss. :/

Chinese medicine will always be superior.

Indeed. Can't go wrong with all natural. :P

This is exactly the reason why I've been trying to cut back on processed foods lately.

I can't help it though; mom doesn't cook' date=' I can't cook, girlfriend doesn't come over enough...

[/quote']

That sucks. =(

Sadly, most people don't care about this issue. They just see food and think "OOOH! Yummy! Fast! Smash into face!!! YUM YUM YUM!" without considering the long-term effects.

(Ah, the wonders of working in a Thai restaurant. All natural ingredients =D)

That would explain the bills...

Yeah, I really care, but it's not like I can do much about it.
