Honest: Discussion

Recommended Posts

I don't know why people say this card is broken. It's a good' date=' balanced card, that works in a variety of Deck Types.

It doesn't promote an unfair advantage. If someone is worried about their monster being destroyed, either don't attack, or use Threatening Roar/Phoenix Wing Wind Blast to prevent it from happening.

[/quote']

you can't chain roar to honest. and PWWB can't chain to it ether. damage step is the moment when the two monsters are actually "fighting", you can't stop it then.

I never said he was broken, I was saying he is a little op'd, that's all.

personally I would have liked it to have negated all damage to the player LP for the battle as well, and let it be discarded to negate like kuriboh. that would have been a little bit more reasonable.

right now it's just a card that completely screws nearly ANY attack that might happen.

I clearly meant to use Threatening Roar before the opponent has the chance to attack, or activate Phoenix Wing Wind Blast when the opponent's monster actually declares the attack.

but that doesn't take care of the problem of honest itself, it just takes care of the attack.

that's why they don't matter.

If your opponent is unable to attack, Honest isn't exactly much of a problem, now is it?

yes it is, because he can use it when you attack back.

You don't understand. I'm saying, if you have a problem with Honest, just play around it.

erm

@ werewolf, how did shrink and burden save you?

ive been thinking about it, and theres absolutely no way that could save your monster.

shrink does original attack, and burden would have been applied first, ideally.

so even, hypothetically speaking, if shrink halved it, and then burden was played, and lets say his level was his remaining attack *100, hes at 0, honest still would have crashed it.

while you can chain burden to honest, it doesnt really.. do much. since it only halves original attack.

maybe it saved you from being killed off completely by reducing damage...

whatever

honest is quite.. broken really, but only situationally, which isnt terrible.

whats really disgusting is honest battles.

got one up to upwards of 200k battle damage.
