GIMP TUTS CENTRAL

 

This thread is going to have updated tuts for gimp.

 

[spoiler=Tut #1 - Nice magic wand effect]

This is a quick tut for rendering a picture better:

 

1) Load background

2) COPY and PASTE the chosen picture

3) Click on the magic wand (3rd icon on first line of tools)

4) below the tools a few options will show. Click the feather edges so there is a tick by it.

5) click on the pic. Dashed lines should mark the chosen area

note: if the area is wrong scroll the threshold bar where it says 15.0 to a higher number until satisfied.

6) click del on keyboard and the edge of the pic should be smooth and nice.

 

Look at the banner in my sig to see how it worked out (look at the text).

hey, I was looking for a tut to be able to render and know I have found one, thanks, but, do you think you could explain it to me a bit more on how to do it?
