The Honerable Assassin (NEW SUB-TYPE)

The Assassin Sub-Type is where you can destroy some of your opponent's stronger monster's but you may also get damaged in the process, say If I were to take out one of my opponent's monsters, he could take out mine.

This card cannot be Normal Summoned or Set. This card can only be Tribute Summoned by Tributing 1 "Assassin" monster in your hand. When this card is Tribute Summoned, you can select 1 monster with a lower DEF than this card and remove it from play. When this effect is activated, your opponent can select 2 of your monsters with a DEF of 1000 or lower to remove from play by decreasing their Life points by 500.

By the look of it, it could possibly be an archetype too. ("Assassin" monster)

If not, then it should be: Assassin Monster

It doesn't look too bad, but I might have to see more cards though.

For now: 8.5/10

Excuse me.

Tributing only counts on the field. Why not treat it as a Special Summon by sending the designated card in your hand to the Graveyard? It's much more simple. Here's what it is with my suggestion and a few fixes.

"This card cannot be Normal Summoned or Set. This card can only be Special Summoned by sending 1 "Assassin" monster in your hand to the Graveyard. When this card is Special Summoned by its own effect, you can select 1 face-up monster with a lower DEF on the field than this card and remove it from play. When this effect is activated, your opponent can remove from play 2 monsters on your side of the field whose DEF is 1000 or less. When this effect resolves, inflict 500 damage to your opponent."

( P.S: You spelt "honourable" wrong.

If the effect isn't going to be consistent for every Assassin card you make, make it an archetype.

You misspelled "honorable" in the title.

Cards can only be Tributed from the field. Also, a Tribute Summon is a Normal Summon, so at the moment, you can't Summon it.

ATK and DEF should both be reduced by 1000.

500 Life Points is virtually nothing; I'd never run this in even a dedicated Assassin Deck (if such a thing were to exist).

Assassin is a terrible name for this subtype; assassins are stealth killers who drop opponents without even being detected, let alone struck back.

If this is going to be an archetype, put quotes around "Assassin."

Correct OCG: This card cannot be Normal Summoned or Set. This card cannot be Special Summoned except by sending 1 Assassin monster from your hand to the Graveyard. When this card is Summoned successfully, remove 1 face-up monster whose DEF is lower than this card's DEF and remove it from play. Your opponent can pay 2000 Life Points to negate this effect, and remove from play 1 monster you control with a DEF of 1000 or less.

FINAL JUDGMENT: C-

Actually, that had nothing to do with the critique.

You deducted one point for this card being horrible gameplay-wise, the egregious OCG errors, and the awful "subtype"... put together?

Way Supreme Gamesmaster rates = Too much negativity.

I deduct points equivalent to the total disruption the errors cause. As my vision of a perfect card is quite focused' date=' it makes sense that I deduct a ton of points.

Still, it's much better to be too harsh than too nice. For example, I'd hardly call this fair:
