OoC:

--Robotnik was a cooler name' date=' idk why they changed it to Eggman

[/quote']Robotnik's name was created to be anti-Communist; StH1 was released shortly before the dissolution of the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics. It wouldn't make sense to have such a nickname on Earth, where foreign influences on the United States of America don't seem to exist, so they changed it to Eggman. It is likely, however, that they began reconsidering the name as early as StH2.

For the record, the literary community frowns upon the use of script format.

The below post assumes that Egg Robots have LCK of 4, HP# of under 38 and that we're using my formulæ. If you get a 2.0, you land a Critical Hit, in which the final damage calculation is tripled; the first hit is scripted

IC:

Sonic attacks Egg Robot #1

"Beautiful," Sonic growled, ripping apart the carapace of one robot. "Just beautiful... Honestly, medieval crap works better than this..."

Finally, he came to what he was looking for: the CPU. "Granted," he smirked, "medieval crap is a lot easier to interrogate."

It wouldn't hurt to visit Tails's lab and simply use his memory reader; his months of experimentation on a transdimensional transporter had given him an extensive knowledge of almost every programming language known to mankind, binary included, so once he had the memory, deciphering it would be a fairly simple task. On the other hand, he mused, he'd best not be trapped by his allies if it would hinder his motive — find Blaze, make robots go boom, make the programmer get dead.

Oh, well. He could always break away at his trademark speeds... as he did from the battle scene, leaving the sliced mechas in his wake.

Big the Cat was taking it easy. He had just finished fishing and had caught a rather good fish when suddenly a robot he recognised as an EGGBOT MK Iw appeared. He knew the w stood for water-resistant. Knowing fighting was the only way he got ready for it.

Big the Cat: (HP: 55, ATK: 9, STGH: 7, DEF: 9, SPD: 5, LCK: 10, PP: 6) LV: 1

EGGBOT MK Iw: (HP: 30, ATK: 7, STGH: 7, DEF: 9, SPD: 7) LV: 1

Big deals 1 damage

EGGBOT deals 4 damage

Big the Cat used Rod Smash [sTGH: 9, element: none, status: none, PP: 3]

Big deals 18 damage

"I've got to warn Sonic about this," said Big. "Froggy! We're going to Sonic!" His frog friend immediately hopped onto the gleaming wheel that was waiting for them. Big quickly grabbed his goggles, sat in the front seat and immediately revved. The wheel soon looked more like a wheel and immediately they set off to Sonic.

(OoC: I'm refering to a wheel from Sonic Riders Zero Gravity)

Metal: accuracy on Dr. Yolk data 75%, Yolk is planning to capture the Emeralds in hopes to draw out Sonic, we can not allow him to get his way (clenches his metal fist)

Knuckles: we won't (punches his fists together) we'll make sure to stop him, there's not way i'm letting that maniac touch the Master Emerald, or any of them for that matter

OoC: Is my post really so unusual? Unless you mean Sonic's tech savvy; he went pretty much insane after Rush in this timestream and spent several months trying to build his own portal's directives, and in the process taught himself basically every programming gimmick known to man. It's hard to tell a machine to open a wormhole to a specific alternate point in space-time... let alone to home in on a single genetic code structure as Sonic wished it to.

Ah, and the Blue Tornado: Element WIND, Power 8, Accuracy 85, Hits All Enemies, I think. Could be wrong on the power, though.

IC:

"Thanks for the tip," Sonic muttered after rocketing away from his metallic doppelgänger. "Good to know I'm thus appreciated."

Knowing Ivo, he probably wouldn't have given his creation sufficient intellect to analyze the memory chip on the spot, so Metal Sonic was likely hypothesizing using the same formulæ he used for battle. His forecast would be accurate, true, but his assumptions were made on the foundation that his opponent would be under intense pressure, be possessed of directly malignant intent, and would think at roughly Sonic's own intellect and reflexes; while this mostly balanced out, the cobalt wonder wouldn't at all be surprised if Yolk's gambit was either far more clever or even simpler than what had been laid out.

That said, the only way Sonic could make his own hypotheses would be to examine the machines' directives himself. The task would be made fairly simple if he could read the binary indubitably stored on the semi-obsolete silicon chip pressed into his glove, but until then, he would need to flee from allies and enemies alike. He wouldn't be waiting long, naturally.

Time to fly.

"Froggy, we're going into a slide turn," said Big. He tilted the wheel to his right and they slid effortlessly round the corner, arriving at Tails' workshop. He stopped and got off. He ran up to the door and knocked. "Tails, it's me, Big."
