[align=center]It seems things have changed. I left before under strained circumstances, but now it seems that I am being welcomed with open arms. Maybe they don't know about the Ansible, maybe the haven't heard of Valhalla, I can't be sure. I do not know if they are being true or false, the masks they wear are glued on tight. I left before within reproach, and now I own the night.

Welcome to Valdharme, the home of the Perilous Piper. Here reside the strongest of beings, separated from the rest of existence by Weingarn, the King of Valdharme.

Here there is no war, the "Gods", as they refer to themselves, keep peace and order.

But there is deep unrest within...

Ruar Haven, the siege fortress of Valdharme, has been attacked. Some unknown darkness is sweeping over the land, consuming all in its path.

Now you must take arms, and rise up against the Oncoming Shadow, to save Valdharme.

In ancient times, the universe was kept in check by Yggdrasil, "The World Tree". It kept the heavens up above and the netherworld below, and all things were peaceful and good.

Then, man was born, and soon became envious of the World Tree. A group of men, called Grimoire Cult, sought to destroy the World Tree, and conquer heaven.

Yggdrasil was angry, and so took physical form to combat these enemies. But they used the most ancient of dark magic to defeat him.

The World Tree was slaughtered, and so heaven full unto Earth.

The God of heaven was angry, and drew all of his angels to fight, but again, they were defeated.

Heaven was conquered, and so Man took the seat of power in the universe.

The men there grew, and for centuries basked in their power, changing the name of heaven to Valdharme, and bestwoing the title of "Perilous Piper" unto their leader. Weingarn, the "perilous piper" himself, ruled and brought prosperity to the land.
