Tiamet paused. "Depends how much pressure you're talking about... I could survive, albeit uncomfortably, at a depth about three fourths down the lowest point of your planet's Ocean, so long as my body's had time to get used to the pressure. If I move from a neutral pressure to a high one abruptly, I can only survive maybe half that."

Tiamet paused. "I see. Do the Timesplitters have something with sunken ships that I'm not aware of? I mean, come on, I'm a freaking translator and (in name only, never had a chance to actually take a job) spy. You'd think with all this water on Earth and otherwise, they'd find a better use for an aquatic race that doesn't believe in guns."

He shrugged.

"But whatever."

He glanced at Nichole. "Unless you're a world-class swimming human, you'd just drag us back, to be frank. You're coated in blood, so any meat-eating fish in the round mile will be coming for us, the pressure is bad, and it's a bit of a distance. And you can't even use a gun well."

Tiamet looked at his claws idly. "Insult in which way? I said you could barely use a gun. Neither can I. You're a medic, an altogether much more respectable job than soldier, and your skills could be better used patching up Angelina rather than pulling everything that eats meat in the area towards us. And don't say you've done everything you can for her so far, I may not have taken medicine in my career, but it is a subject all of my race learn while young. She's running a great risk for infection, and internal bleeding is possible. Also, her cuts are bandaged fairly roughly, so a second or third layer could be required. And what if a Timeplitter walks in, while she's like this, and you're off gallivanting with us?"

His tail twitched.

"Also... Aren't harpoon shooters for deep sea fishing? They're a bit too heavy for, you know, killing Sharks while in the water..."

The aquarian humanoid shrugged. "But whatever, do what you like. I don't pretend to understand you humans. The fact that at some point, you decided killing others was a better investment than healing others pretty much confirmed my suspicion that our two species are incompatible mentally."

Nichole looked at Angelina then stabbed another knife into her other leg causing her to wake up.Angelina tried to move but the pain caused her to give up and she reached for radio. As soon as she grabbed the radio Nichole grabbed her hand and took it."I dont think you will need that."Nichole grabbed one final knife and stabbed it through her hand.Nichole then gets up and walks up the trail more.

Tiamet made a whistling sound from his mouth, which sounded like some unearthly wailing rather than any form of communication. He closed his mouth after a second, and gestured to it, attempting to convey that, despite being able to breath underwater, he couldn't speak english without air to carry the sound currents properly (unlike what Brandon's mouthpiece allowed him to do).

He shrugged, then continued swimming towards the ship, stopping periodically to allow Brandon to catch up.
