Consideration to leave.

[align=center]Just to not give the wrong impression - I am not leaving, yet.

 

But I had considered leaving YCM and to stop Yu-Gi-Oh, I feel that at the age of 16, with my exams coming up and the feeling that life is slowly being ripped away from me, that I have to get on with my real life and not take on this fake persona of 'Marvel'.

 

I do have a very good social life and am doing very well at school, however, I'm not going to let a childrens card game waste a significant time of my life.

 

You are only young once, enjoy it, and to be quite honest, i do need to get out more, its not too regularly I go out, but sitting at home on my laptop for a few hours on this forum, can get a little tedious.

 

And to add to the suttle jokes and tiny puns, if you had noticed them, i would also like to get laid xD. In all honesty, I have had offers, but i just couldn't do with it, mainly because of some personal issues i dont want to say over the internet.

 

However, I do enjoy alot of my time here, but too much of my time. I will not leave permanently, but remain very inactive and be offline quite often, reasons for this are quite obvious, I will be offline more during the months of May-July.

 

If, and when i get my life stable, finishing school and what not, and if i have the time, i will become a more regularly active member.

 

If you have not bothered to read the above, heres a summary; I think leaving would be a really good idea for and would help benefit my life, but, I enjoy it here, its something i do to consume my time, and will stay here, only making irregular and short visits.

1. i joined cause i wanted to make cards and talk as i felt a bit lonely as im the oldest kid in my family and my bruv and sis r 3 and 1.

2. i usually spend a couple of hours on a friday nite and maby an hour or two on a saturday. i spend more time on YCM during the holidays

I see your point about how spending your sparetime on a forum can take away the time you could invest into something else but honestly, it's all about finding the right balance.

For example, I still go out (a lot xD) and have some fixed times when I can be online. Of course that's just me, I can't apply things that happened to me on you.

For the rest, just try to organize your day, fix some hours for studying, Internet and going out with your friends and don't let that Marvel persona get too much into your life. It's an alter ego for your free time so keep it that way.

Sebastian (friend of mine) told me about the cardmaker so I decided to join.

If I'd try to seem cool I would hop on the bandwagon and say the usual "coz I iz bored". Obviously it makes you look so damn cool ;) but for some reason I won't. If you really have nothing better to do... damn you got my pity.O_o Or maybe the egos some of you have (not directed towards you Marvel) won't let you admit that you're addicted or just want to stay around the forums. Because if you're really dying from boredom I would suggest another type of sites.;D

Variable. At the moment 1 to 4 hours.

The site itself. Some of the people, the high activity and sometimes cardmaking.

The GX anime. I used to play the card game too but I guess I'd have a lot to catch up.=P

Back when I had more interest in the card game itself, I joined because of the card maker. That, and I HORUS, who I know in real life, told me it was a cool place. (And it really was back in 2007).

I go on about once every other day or so. I'm on for about 10-30 minutes.

Compared to other forums I'm on, the community here is nicer I guess. Though there are more noobs here... :/

The card game, but I've started to lose interest in it lately.

 

Anyway, you don't have to leave. I was going to until I had more free time, and that's what I did. Now that I have more time, I come on for a little bit.

if real life gets in the way, then by all means do it. i was gone for months at a time, yet if you are a well known and/or respected member, then you should still be felt that way when you come back. ;) i was...

 

just remember that you can come back.. its not like its a one way door.

 

and remember that it isnt up to us to determine your life's path. dont let that 'vortex' happen. XD

1. Why did you join? I joined because me and a friend wanted to create cards that we liked exp Devil May Cry and so on. We would make the cards and print them off and glue them to cards put them in sleeves and play with em.

 

2. How long do you spend on YCM each day on average? It depends on the day.. If its a day off I can spend my time from 9 to 3 am..I was expelled from school and my girlfriend is still in school and my friend is in construction and doesnt get off till 4.

 

3. What is it you like most about YCM? I just like making cards and there are a few cool people on here..EnkoMaun and A Dark Legendary Emperor.

 

4. What is it about Yu-Gi-Oh that you like? I stopped playing almost a year ago.. but I started playing becuase you can meet some fun people at tournys and made some of my good friends at these tournys.
