I didnt fit a mold, I played football with the "Preps", I hung out with the "Nerds and Dorks" and the "Goth and Emos", hell I even party with the cops and cheerleaders. I dress in Wicked Jester shirts(If you dont know what they are then go to www.wickedjester.com and you can see) blue jeans and I even have a couple pairs of trip pants and I listen to heavy metal. If you listen to that kind of music, share the attitude or just feel like you belong into one of those groups feel free to consider you as such. Wearing black doesn't mean much though. Many people I know wear it just because it looks good. The self-mutilation however is something you should rather take to a psychologist though, if it's really serious. There are many prejudices about emos HAVING to cut themselves to be considered part of the group but it's nowhere a "must". Not every emo cuts himself and most of the time it's not even serious. So yeah, hurting yourself, if it's not just for showing off or attracting the pity of others, is a serious mental issue, no matter what you look like, what you listen to, etc. Like some people said before, try to be yourself before anything and look for help with the hurting yourself if it's really serious.
