OnSlaUghT
How the world ended in 'Knowing' A super solar flare destroys the ozone layer, causing UV radiation to drench the earth, killing everybody in the world
ragnarok1945
See for that I would have expected the flare to suck all the oxygen supply from the world And therefore everyone would simply suffocate to death or something

ragnarok1945
you ever see the movie Solar Storm? The concept from Knowing seems to work a little like that.

ragnarok1945
Are you sure it was an instant death for everyone? I would expect at least some to suffer from nuclear winter or something
OnSlaUghT
no did you see the clouds of radiation and destruction which took out the lake in one second and how they destroyed the empire state building in 2?
ragnarok1945
ah yes, the healthy radiation cloud. If it blanketed the whole world, that would explain why everyone died quickly (I have yet to see the movie yet, online version are too crap quality)

ragnarok1945
Not in the immediate future, no. Shouldn't our satellites be able to detect such asteroids, meteors, comets YEARS before they hit us?

B3lly N3rd
well..this prolly wouldnt happen but..im thinkin that the planets with fall off their orbits or axis or something and colide into each other until they reach earth and finnaly into the sun..then the sun shall explode destroying the universe ^^ but thats just me lol
OnSlaUghT
You'll need to destroy all suns to destroy the universe
Legend Zero
After seriously thinking about this topic I've decided. "This" planet will be destroyed by the explosion of the sun, which will happen in a few trillion years. By the time this happens we will have found other planets to use as homes. So therefore the human race will continue on forever. The only reason this should fail is if we meet another hostle race and we are wiped out. PS: For those of you who say humans shouldn't switch planets or that we have no right. Maybe the common, how do you know? This answers all your questions. We are the first species in space and we have damn well earned the right!
bury the year
We are the first species in space and we have damn well earned the right! Lolno. There's probably other sentient species out there. Besides, technically speaking, bacteria were the first organisms on Earth. getyourfactsstraightplz

There maybe other life "like us" out there but that doesn't we we're the weaker. We as humans have had pretty lucky strides.List of Human Luck1. Dinosaurs Died (Would've sucked if they never did)2. Discovered that elements from the Earth can be made into other things. (Real Lucky)3. Gasoline/Any kind of Fuel (We might be supirior in transportation)4. Nuclear Arms (Don't mess with us B*****)5. Internet (What sane persons thinks up of something that is practically a whole bunch of invis. networks)
