The Endless Bickering Must Cease

[align=center]YCM needs to stop with the religious arguments. They don't go anywhere, because both sides are so entrenched in their opinions that they refuse to even consider anything that conflicts with their beliefs in the slightest. The end result is that:

A) We get nowhere at all

and

B) Everyone hates a minimum of 3 other people

 

Couple ways to stop this:

When you make a thread asking for users' opinions and someone has a religious opinion, don't respond with "lol bible" etc. It just stirs things up and is, quite frankly, rude as hell. Imagine if the majority of the forums was christian and there were only a few atheists. Wouldn't you be pissed if, anytime you brought up something that conflicts with christianity, everyone else ridiculed you and your beliefs. Thought so.

 

Stop whining about how others' beliefs and theories have such a low chance of happening and therefore are stupid etc. None of us were there to watch the beginning of the earth. We are not sure of any theories and beliefs about the world's birth, and we most likely never will be. All of these theories have low chances of happening. When you laugh at people for how unlikely the chance of their beliefs being accurate is, you look like a god damn hippocrate.

 

There are tons of "holes" in every belief and theory. Once again, arguing that your belief/theory is superior because the other person's has holes in it, also makes you look like a hippocrate.

 

In these religious arguments, everyone always brings up essentially the same points that were brought up in the previous threads, then they attempt to demean, insult, and disprove the opposite side by pointing out its flaws, while completely ignoring the fact that their belief has similar (if not the same) flaws. Then the argument goes in circles for awhile. Finally, it devolves into random profanities and insults until it either gets locked or deleted.

 

 

Bottom line: Religious arguments are pointless and result in nothing productive being accomplished. We also need to stop instigating religious arguments in threads.[/align]

These arguments are not debates. They are people repeating the same thing over and over in multiple threads. 90% of the posts are insults too. So, all religious debates are guilty of:

Spamming

Cluttering

Flooding

Flaming

I just don't like the fact that people will make a religious comment and turn the debate for no reason at all. Like if we were having a debate about hamburgers and someone comes in and says. You could have just PM'd a super mod.

Report and move on, that's all you need to do.

I moderate Custom Cards, my job isn't to end quarrels in the Debate Forum.

If you laugh at what I say, its your own doing. Your mistaken if you think what I do, is for others amusement.

Learn to realize that your taking this forum to seriously (zomg.. still subtle?)

This thread was made to point out the pointlessness of religious threads. I didn't go argue in them and get all pissy when people didn't agree with me. I'm not even on a side in these arguments. Its a public forum. Everything posted here is every users business. If you can't take outside opinions, then you can either make an exclusive club thread for it or take it to some private forum. Ignoring problems doesn't fix them. Just sitting around and letting a problem run rampant while you turn a blind eye to it will only make it worse. It makes me shudder to think how you get things done in life if you ignore all your problems and hope they go away. Also, what's up with your hostile approach to everything? Can you even form a sentence that gets your point across without leaning on profanity as a crutch? It makes you look rude, immature, and like you have anger management issues.
