YCM's original weekly card contest[/align]

 

[align=justify]First things first, what is the SoTW event? Simply said, a card contest that gives more than just pride and bragging rights. Every week, one of the hosts will post a theme and conditions for you to follow. Anyone is allowed to enter! This contest runs semi-biweekly, meaning that voting and posting overlay each other. The rules for the SoTW are as follows:

 

>> All Realistic Cards and YCM Rules apply.

>>> Offensive cards will not be accepted.

>>> Please keep discussion within this topic clean. No spamming, whining or trolling. Any disputes between other members should be taken to the PMs.

>> Do not post all your cards in this topic. Please link to it.

>>> You must include any card you mention in your card lore in your Set. This includes ritual monster spells if you decide to make them.

>>> In your set topic, you must include the effect under your cards. Long or small, doesn't matter. Entries will not be accepted without a valid lore.

>>> You cannot re-use Sets for different contests.

>> All votes are only deserved for their cards.

>>> You are not allowed to tell others to vote for you.

>>> At the conclusion of the contest, if a set is deemed unworthy, they will be kicked off.

 

In this contest, it would be preffered if you removed circulation, though it is not needed. For set ids, follow this format: CARDS - EN0xx. The x's being your card number. You have the right to choose what card types you want to use, but do not use fake types for monster cards, and especially don't use non-existing spell/trap types. I.E Counter Spell. There is a mininum of 6 cards for a set, and 25 cards maximum. In this contest, we look for quality, not quantity. Reservations are not neccesary.

 

[spoiler=[i]Tips are always good.[/i]]>> Try to create a whole concept with your cards. For example, the habit of returning to the deck like Gladiator Beasts, or milling oneselves deck for Lightsworns. Think about it!

>> Create meta changing effects, but do not make them too OPed. For example, create new Judgment Dragon counters, or a new swarm or draw engine.

>> Put your OCG next to matchless, and expand on your effect as much as you can.

>> You can put a little background behind your cards to allow voters to see what you have done.

 

 

 

Prizes are as follows:

>1< :: Their Set Topic stickied for a week, 3 reps and name in hall of fame.

>2< :: 2 reps and name in hall of fame.

>3< :: 1 rep and name in hall of fame.

Bonus: None.
