On MTG, birds are a tribe of soldiers and wizards, both also good with healing. They all have the ability of "Flying", were they fly to attack and can't be blocked except by other creatures with "Flying". I tried to make all of the monsters more human-like as I could, but could not resist adding the original versions of birds. I gave the set the Archetype of "Flying" because of MTG.
