The signs are here. Hopefully, you've noticed. The coffins in the streets that appear only at midnight, taking the place of the people that were there before. The mysterious masked beings that haunt the streets. The towering... abomination above Gekkoukan that seems to overtake the school itself. And, most importantly, the impending sense of fear. You are in the Dark Hour. If you cannot defend yourself, you are dead.

 

You are lucky, though. There are other teenagers like you, with the same abilities, and they go to Gekkoukan as well. You have been supplied with Evokers, gun-shaped devices. When fired at your temple, they summon your Persona, a manifestation of your will, and a weapon for battle. Armed with these, your Personas, and a glimmer of an idea, you must now journey into Tartarus, the monstrosity above your school, and get to the bottom of this mystery, before your world is devoured by the Shadows, and all hope, as well.

 

[spoiler=Hard Info]This is based around the same timeframe as Persona 3, but with your original characters instead of the original characters. There will be a unique feature in this RP; the Day and Night transition. I will start the RP during either Day or Night, and when I feel that enough has been done in one period, I'll switch to the other. As a rule of thumb, Day is socializing at school, and Night is fighting against the Shadows in Tartarus. Consign fighting to Night, please.

 

[spoiler=Rules]In addition to the rules outlined in this thread, I am also expecting you to follow the rules below.

1) Type at least 4 decent sentences per post with good grammar, spelling, and description. This doesn't apply to OOC posts.

2) This isn't all about fighting, so do some character development as well. Only making fighting posts will get a warning.

3) No cut-and-paste bios. Seriously. I've seen a couple of people here use nearly the exact same character, with minor details altered for each RP. Don't do it.

4) While not a rule, I highly recommend you read up on the Persona series by using the wiki found at the link in the above section. Go here, here, and the pages on the main characters of Persona 3 for ideas.

 

If you break any of these rules, you will be negged and banned.

Age: 14

Year: Sophmore

Appearance: Jet-black hair, worn slicked back or in a traditional ponytail... His eyes are gray, giving a very odd but attractive appearance... His body is lean, and slightly built, as to his kendo, tai chi and yoga training, along with regular fencing, swimming, and soccer... His nose is slightly broad and kept in, and his eyes are also slightly narrowed. His cheekbones are high, but he usuallly doesn't look all too happy...

Personality: He's very nonchalant about things. He only speaks much to people he finds interesting, as everyone else becomes an unimportant being in his way. He never takes crap from anyone, and although he's into sports, he is very intelligent and calculating. He keeps to himself mostly and reads books anytime. He will walk around town reading a book, ignoring whomever tries to interrupt his reading. He is also an Insomniac. He will only sleep an hour in the morning. He's never really tired though, but his eyes continue to get shadow under them...

Weapon: He wields a katana with great design. He crafted it himself when he took a blacksmith class. He forged it from special metals, he found by digging it up himself, as he thinks a good man does his own work. The sword was crafted with an enduring wooden hilt, which can take many hits, and he often uses the hilt for lighter, faster attacks...

Arcana: Emperor

Appearance: He appears in the form of a reptile-like creature in persona form. His body s standing upright like that of a human and is covered in a brown robe, which shadows his feets, to make it appear as if he's floating. He keeps a book in one hand always and his hands are pure black claws, like that of a jackal. His head is reptile-like, like a desert iguana's head, but larger for his body.

Type: Physical-support-[special kind]

Name: Katou Shigehito (繁人夏灯, Shigehito Katou)

Age: 16

Year: 1

Appearance: Dark brown hair with small blonde streaks around the forehead and back of the head areas. Usually keeps his hair in a nice, small, style that has hair usually covering one eye, but not exactly the look of hair that you would see on a goth person (Yes, that was a stereotype). Usually has a small but somewhat devilish smile on his face. Katou has the evil glare to go with it, and he uses it often to make people stop picking on him. His eyes are actually dark-teal colored but you can usually find him wearing purple contact lenses. The jaw of Katou is shaped so that it seems although he could open his mouth, and it would stretch miles, but you know that it wouldn't.

Personality: Sarcastic, sometimes serious when he deems it necessary. Oddly strategical, almost as if he was as wise as a deity.

Weapon: A long Halberd, engraved with a small Obsidian jewel on the end of it. The pole of the Halberd is patterned with what would appear to be horns.

Name: Lucifer

Arcana: Judgment

Appearance: A horned demon that is in no way an alias, or even related to Satan.

Type: Physical

History: He is the 'Bearer of Light' and God of the Evening Star and Morning Star. He denies any connection with SATAN or any scaly tailed entity with horns.

Name: Daisuke Togemiya (刺宮大甫, Togemiya Daisuke)

Age: 16

Year: 2

Appearance: He has hair like Jack from 5D's except it's a bit longer and it brown with a silver accent. He has rather thin eyebrows and his bangs reach his chest. He isn't the big tall bully but he has a slim and rather short posture for his age.

Personality: Outgoing, never impressed or scared, he likes making good times out of the worst times and always is laid back, never in the mood to fight(if he gets in a fight he will ruthlessly wack around with his fist and everything he can use to win) he will mostly ruin the moment by saying something wrong at the wrong time.

Weapon: Scythe

Arcana: Hermit

Appearance: Degei appears as a half snake-half human. He has long, black hair that reaches to the half of his back. His face expression is rather peaceful(which doesn't match the way he deals with things) his limbs are as flexible as a snakes body. There are always snakes around his arms which make spiral movement towards the should(just wrapped around his arms but they are spiral and they don't stop turning around the arm)

Type: Physical (Well, he actually attacks out of range)

Alignments: Dark

History: Degei hatched an egg from which the first humans came to Earth. He is prominent in the kalou-vu, the Fijian pantheon.

 

Also here's what Degei does(gives you a look on his appearance a bit):

Degei (pronounced Ndengei) is a snake-god. He judges newly-dead souls after they pass through one of two caves: Cibaciba or Drakulu. A few he sends to paradise, Burotu. Most others are thrown into a lake, where they will eventually sink to the bottom (Murimuria) to be appropriately rewarded or punished.

Name: Ayumu Nakashima (中島歩, Nakashima Ayumu)

Age: 14

Year: Year 2

Appearance: Her red hair is pulled into a ponytail, but not very well and has hair attenae. Her face is friendly and loving, with red eyes. She has a thin but strong build.

Personality: She is very happy and optimistic. She is also slightly eccentric; she ends many of sentences with ~nyah or ~nyu.

Weapon: Meteor Hammer (a fist sized heavy metal ball attached to a string/chain)

Arcana: The Star

Appearance: When in his true form, he is a formless ball of light, but usually takes the form of a shining man. He wears no armour, but wears animal hides of leopards. He fights with an obsidian axe that channels his power.

History: Apocatequil is the Incan god of lightning and the high priest of the Mood God.

Name: Yoshihiro Togashi (十樫吉弘, Togashi Yoshihiro)

Age: 16

Year: 2

Appearance: White hair in a 'Bowl' cut, his bangs go down to right above his eyes. His eyes are a dark teal which seem to match the usual melancholy look on his face. He almost always looks down at his feet instead of straight ahead of him, this causes his hair to flop down and hide a small part of his face.

Personality: Awkward and shy. He tries to keep his distance from people, and when confronted with conversation, tries to end it quickly. He has never had a girlfriend.

Weapon: He uses throwing knives for combat, he has a limited supply, but can always pick up the knives if needed. He also holds a large amount in his book bag.

Name: Binzuru-Sonja

Arcana: Temperance.

Appearance: (I couldn't actually find a picture of him, or even details about his appearance, so I kind of just based his looks off his history.) He adorns a long, black coat with a single white stripe going down from his shoulder. On the right side of his coat there's a small red cross. He has two large chains coming from behind his head that attached to the bottom of each wrist. His head is covered in a fully black mask that has no ear, eye, or mouth 'hole'.

Type: Healing.

Alignments: Light.

History: The Japanese god of curing and fine vision. Because he himself is unable to escape pain, he helps others to do so.

[spoiler=Rinne - Haruto Ashizuka - Baron Samedi]

The Person...

Name: Haruto Ashizuka (芦塚春斗, Ashidzuka Haruto)

Age: 16

Year: 2

Appearance: Haruto would be considered rather attractive to most ladies, with a slender body structure that's rather unblemished. However, they is one major flaw; a large X-shaped scar crosses the bridge of his nose, disfiguring some of his face. Although it doesn't impair his vision or anything, it could be considered a turn-off to some. He has sandy-brown hair which hangs in his watery blue eyes, and gives him a mopey appearance. Haruto wears the standard Gekkoukan uniform, but leaves the jacket unbuttoned.

Personality: He's subdued and quiet, but that doesn't mean that you can push him around. Haruto just doesn't like to over-assert himself outside of battle, having a firm, but soft approach when it comes to getting his way. He also is easily frightened, jumping a lot when spooked. Due to a traumatic childhood accident that involved falling off a cliff, he's incredibly sensitive of anyone tries to touch his scar, fainting if blood is drawn from it, no matter how little. He enjoys jogging in the morning, and will always wake up at down to run around town for a while.

Weapon: Longbow

Name: Baron Samedi

Arcana: Death

Appearance: A blindfolded humanoid male, with a lower mask made entirely out of the jawbone of an unidentified animal and a black top hat decorated with various small bones. His dark-black hair hangs in front of his face. He wears a 3-piece black suit that has plates of armor on it, and carries a black walking-stick with a golden cross on the top.

Type: Physical/Healing

Alignments: Dark

History: Also known as Baron Cimitière and Baron-La-Croix, Baron Samedi is the Caribbean loa of death, but is odd in that he enjoys a fine cigar and rave music as well as bringing people to the afterlife.

The Person...

Name: Saya Ashizuka (芦塚小夜, Ashidzuka Saya)

Age: 24

Year: Teacher's aid

Appearance: Short black hair, cut in a bob with a green headband. Because Saya's a teacher, or at least an aid, she doesn't wear the school uniform, instead wearing a gray herringbone dress with black stockings and plain shoes. She doesn't appreciate anyone ogling her, though, and will deal with them if they try.

Personality: Authoritarian, in a word. Saya isn't concerned with the wellbeing of her students, for the most part, and would leave them dangling off a cliff in order to teach them a lesson. Therefore, this has made her somewhat unpopular with her former school. However, she doesn't care; learning is the first priority for her. Since the... untimely passing of the former club moderator, Saya's taken up the role, and will act as a passive leader, contrary to her in-class personality.

Weapon: Three-piece staff.

Name: Coyolxauhqui

Arcana: Empress

Appearance: A pale, frail woman whose limbs are removed from their sockets, and instead hang from golden scarves that have been looped throughout rings embedded in the sockets. Her hair is long and golden, hanging to the floor, and has thousands of very small jingle bells woven into it. She also wears a simple white shift.

Type: Physical (Surprising, eh?)

Alignments: Mudo

History: Coyolxauhqui is the Aztecan moon goddess, famous for being dismembered by her newborn brother, Huitzilopochtli, after she tried to murder their mother. The decapitated goddess' head became the moon.

Name: Youmu Ishigawa (石川陽夢, Ishigawa Youmu)

Age: 15

Year: 2

Appearance: Long, flowing black hair; black-looking eyes (no one knows what color they really are; they're that dark); small facial features in general; short and very thin; Lina's chest (that's as descriptive as I can get O,x); long limbs; musician's fingers; small hips. Did I miss anything?

Personality: Two words: Ludicrously Shy. Since her birth, basically everyone she's ever met has abused the hell out of her, so she... doesn't like people very much. She prefers to act independently, always fearing the rage of comrades. If she is working with others, and they become even slightly irked with her, she will immediately flee and become horrendously distant.

Weapon: Splitting jian

Name: Atropos (because honestly, no change is more abrupt than death.)

Arcana: The Tower

Appearance: A less starved-looking, wavier-haired, ampler-chested, white-eyed version of Ishigawa. Black trench coat over tank top and black long pants. Belt over whole thing. Wields teh scythez.

Type: Physical

Alignments: Neutral

Sample Attacks:

Zio: Deals electric damage to one enemy. May cause shock status.

Elec Boost: Increases effect of electric spells by 50%.

Ragna: Instantly kills one enemy. Cannot do damage for rest of Dark Hour.

History: The third and final Fate, Atropos is responsible for actually ending lives; like all the Fates, she holds dominion even over the gods, though her influence is least, as gods cannot actually die. Generally, Atropos puts a soul to sleep, Thanatos removes the soul from a being, and Hermes takes that soul to Hades.

Name: Takahiro Hayashi (林鷹幸, Hayashi Takahiro)

Age: 17

Year: 3

Appearance: Hair is like cloud strife's but overgrown and shaggy and colored silver. He is 5'6 skinny but has muscle. Purple eyes. Always has a cockey smile on. He is always chewing on a toothpick and usually has his hands pocketed except gor his thumbs.

Personality: He is cockey, and uninterested in others. Sticks around for his amusement and wouldnt leave even if he was asked to. Brave and protective of women although he constantly comes on to them and gets rejected. He is loud speaks his mind without thinking. He likes to insult people and argue.

Weapon: A huge broad sword that takes two hands to swing.

Name: Fenrir

Arcana: Moon

Appearance: A wild hairy creature of a man, has clawed hands and feet (wears no shoes), plus fangs, has ripped up blue pants and no shirt over his fury chest. Wears one armored shoulder pad on his left shoulder and a belt with a wolf pendant for a buckle. Has a Scar over his left eye and doesnt open it. He is covered with dark grey fur except on the face and hands. Has shoulder length black wild hair. Has red eyes. He is 8 feet tall but is always crouched or slouched over. He is really fast and strong in attack but not defense.

Type: Physical

Alignments: Wind

Name: Ayame Satou (佐藤あやめ, Satou Ayame)

Year: Third Year

Appearance: She wears Gekkoukan's standard Winter Uniform - a Black skirt, black shirt, and black jacket buttoned over it. Or at least, it would be black had she left it alone. Tampering with the color in a "laundry accident", she has caused to look more of a deep purple. She also doesn't opt to wear the winter stockings, leaving her legs exposed. She has very long Red hair, and wears it almost always in a pair of Pigtails. They are long enough to dip down just below her waist. Her bangs are short, and stay out of her eyes. She is almost always wearing a sunny grin, but her eyes always look mildly calculating.

Personality: Mostly, she's a very fun-loving girl. She likes to play games, and she likes to have a good time. She also likes people to get along. Unfortunately, looking deeper shows you different. She likes to play games, with people. She likes to have fun, at others' expenses. She likes for people to get along, because it suits her best when they do. She isn't really bad persay. But you wouldn't call her a good girl, either.

Weapon: She uses a pair of Tonfas as her weapons.

Name: Alice

Arcana: Devil

Appearance: A young girl, looking to be no older than 10 or 11. She wears a deep blu drees, white stockings, and black shoes. She also wears a blue bow in her pale blond hair. Her eyes are almost always dead-looking, and her expression is often uninterested.

Type: Support. She is capable of offence, but uses it in indirect ways.

Alignments: Mudo

History: Alice is a legendary ghost - she is said to be the spirit of a girl in England who lost her life all too soon. Since her death, she has wandered, and has lured others to untimely ends.

Name: Yuki Suou (周防由希, Suou Yūki)

Age: 18

Year: Third Year Student

Appearance: Yuki is a stern-looking individual, with black hair that hangs in strands across his face, though stylized somewhat uniquely to fan out slightly. His eyes are a silver-gray, and are viewable through his thin glasses that rest easily on his nose, small frames rendering them as reading glasses only. He is usually seen with one of three expressions (which rarely deviate): A stoic, uncaring look, a smug, expectant look (complimented with a light smirk), or a maniac grin (seen only in the heat of a moment).

Personality: He is typically cold and uncaring to anyone who he doesn't see as interesting. He enjoys reading, though he has a habit of insulting the authors of the books he reads if the book didn't turn out to be all that great (for his tastes). He enjoys high risk, and as such, tends to enjoy an under-the-radar night life of gambling, or gambling in general. It's typically his opponents in these dangerous games that get a real rise out of him emotionally. Recently, however, the discovery of his Persona seems to be shifting his addiction away from Gambling, indulging himself in a completely different high-risk experience.

He doesn't have many friends, but is capable of basic comradery if the situation calls for it. He's surprisingly domestic, having a nice hand at cooking and cleaning, and is fond of elegant things.

Weapon: Yuki goes into battle armed with a Rapier, which he is rather adept in the usage of thanks to lessons that were forced upon him by his parents. He also carries a pair of dice around, for his own fancy.

Arcana: Wheel of Fortune

Appearance: Valefor is one of the Goetia's 72 Demons. She appears here as a maiden with a pair of dragon-like wings on her back, a very long bundle of hair tied into a ponytail behind her, and a facemask that conceals her face from the Nose up. She wears a form-fitting black dress, and holds a Spear in her right hand. Her feet end in bird-like talons.

Type: She is both a Physical Attacker and a Support Persona, being mildly powerful in both categories.

Alignments: Neutral

History: One of the demons of the Goetia, she tempts people to steal and is in charge of a good relationship among thieves, but later she brings them to the gallows. The Person...

Name: Katou Shigehito

Age: 16

Year: 1

Appearance: Dark brown hair with small blonde streaks around the forehead and back of the head areas. Usually keeps his hair in a nice, small, style that has hair usually covering one eye, but not exactly the look of hair that you would see on a goth person (Yes, that was a stereotype). Usually has a small but somewhat devilish smile on his face. Katou has the evil glare to go with it, and he uses it often to make people stop picking on him. His eyes are actually dark-teal colored but you can usually find him wearing purple contact lenses. The jaw of Katou is shaped so that it seems although he could open his mouth, and it would stretch miles, but you know that it wouldn't.

Personality: Sarcastic, sometimes serious when he deems it necessary. Oddly nimble, almost as though he was a cat.

Weapon: A long Halberd, engraved with a small Obsidian jewel on the end of it. The pole of the Halberd is patterned with what would appear to be cat tails.

 

...and the Persona

Name: Bast/Bastet

Arcana: Judgment

Appearance: Appears as a beautiful women, wanted by most men, with the head of a cat.

Type: Physical.

Alignments: Earth

History: Bast, the cat goddess of Egypt, is the daughter of Ra, the sun god of Egypt. Her home was at the Bubastis of the Nile Delta. Bast provided a service that is the equivalent of fire extinguishers. When there was a fire, she would send her cat servants in to draw out the power. Therefore creating the fire extinguisher.

The Person...

Name: Yoshihiro Togashi

Age: 16

Year: 2

Appearance: White hair in a 'Bowl' cut, his bangs go down to right above his eyes. His eyes are a dark teal which seem to match the usual melancholy look on his face. He almost always looks down at his feet instead of straight ahead of him, this causes his hair to flop down and hide a small part of his face.

Personality: Awkward and shy. He tries to keep his distance from people, and when confronted with conversation, tries to end it quickly. He has never had a girlfriend.

Weapon: He uses throwing knives for combat, he has a limited supply, but can always pick up the knives if needed. He also holds a large amount in his book bag.

 

...and the Persona

Name: Binzuru-Sonja

Arcana: Temperance.

Appearance: (I couldn't actually find a picture of him, or even details about his appearance, so I kind of just based his looks off his history.) He adorns a long, black coat with a single white stripe going down from his shoulder. On the right side of his coat there's a small red cross. He has two large chains coming from behind his head that attached to the bottom of each wrist. His head is covered in a fully black mask that has no ear, eye, or mouth 'hole'.

Type: Healing.

Alignments: Light.

History: The Japanese god of curing and fine vision. Because he himself is unable to escape pain, he helps others to do so.

The Person...

Name: Kazuke Heero (Kazuke being the first name)

Age: 17

Year: Third Year Student

Appearance: Kazuke has Dark-silver hair, his hair would look like Cloud Strife's hair but overgrown and a little shaggy. It would extend on some parts down to his shoulders and covers his right eye. His eyes are dark-purple and would constantly look like he's depressed or staring off into nothingness. His face wouldnt be narrow or fat it would about in the middle of that, sorta average. He would look younger then he is ( about 15) he would be shorter then other third years because of this.

Personality: He always seems to be scanning the area with a worried look in his eyes, other students would think he strange because of this and rarely would talk to him. (little do they know, he acts this way because the appearence of his Persona, who he has little control over, always results in the deaths of everyone around him. The first of these attacks was on his parents 2 years ago when the persona first awakened, which resulted in both of his parents deaths) He would rarely talk to anyone else for fear of getting close to someone and what could happen if his persona appeared again. He has no friends and no family. He lives with foster parents, who don't know what actually happend to his parents. He is kind, sort of a worried person, but brave when he needs to be, and easily hurt emotionally.

Weapon: Kazuke uses a crooked Scythe that is taller then he is. Though he likes to avoid confrontation unless he is protecting someone.

 

...and the Persona

Name: Yakunan

Arcana: What do we put here?

Appearance: Yakunan is about ten feet tall. He is dark and covered in a slow swirling mass of shadows. He has longhair that if pulled down would stretch to his gut, but it is wild and all over the place sticking up in some places and constantly in motion like the shadows around him. His eyes are all you can see on his face and have a sinister look on them as they glow a bright white and when he attacks they glow a bright purple. The rest of his face is covered by a large dark blood red scarf that sways off in the distance behind him. He has huge black feathered wings, and his hands are claws. His skin is a dark blueish black and he wears no shirt but has a glowing red seal over his chest that blocks his true power. He has black torn up pants and clawed feet.

Type: He is all physical power having a high attack and defence, and attacks using his huge claws, but can use one extremely powerful attack spell if his true power was released.

Alignments: Evil (loves to kill), but kazuke is good.

Sample Attacks:

-The End (the powerful spell)

History: Little is known about him since he refuses to listen to anyone. Was once put in captivity because of his brutish slaughtering of anyone he felt deserved it. It is unkown how he escaped. (I havent played any Persona game so this part is hard :? )

For now, denied. Yakunan isn't a mythological figure, to my knowledge. Also, Personas reflect their user's personality, so to have an evil/good contrast like that wouldn't work; the Persona would try to kill you.

 

Maybe take my suggestion, and write a female character? We need one to start.

Name: Mika Takahashi

Age: 16

Year: 2

Appearance: A young lady with long black hair which comes down to her neck She is tall about 5" 5' if you measure her. With brown eyes as she looks like any simple Japanese girl. She has a slight tan to her appearance as she comes from a line from sourthern China as her family came to japan.

Personality: A kind person, but quiet as she keeps to to herself most of the time.

Weapon: A long sword resembling of an ancient katana

Name: LU-DONGBIN

Arcana: Star

Appearance: A man portrayed as a scholar as he gained enlightenment through the teaching of tao. A typical chinese man with the long, white beard. with a bold appearance. Maintains his stance at given monuments as he looks with a noble look. He has sheath at his side carries his sword.

Type: Physical

Alignments: Wind

Kami Kazi

Soaring Roar

History: In his privileged student days, he'd been given a magic sword by a passing dragon. He should have been riding high on the crest of a wave.

They do have to be mythological, sorry. Also, a Persona matches their Evoker's personality because they are quite literally created from them. If you don't, Personas can kill their users, and there have been instances, such as with Massacre and the Strega, who were on drugs to suppress their Persona.

 

I can give you some ideas, if you want.

 

PS: Heero couldn't be written as a Japanese name. Choose a different one, please.

 

EDIT:

 

@Mirage: Change the weapon and the arcana, and give a bit more description to Mika's appearance and the appearance of her Persona. (Physical-wise.)
