Many years have past. Konohamaru has just become the Seventh Hokage after Naruto retired. Gaara has passed the responsibilities of the Kazekage to Matsuri, Gaara's former student. Still, there are unsolved issues with the Akatsuki. They are stronger than before, and ready to have a war.
