Hello all,

I've made another pokemon card thread. This time however, I'm going to do thins differantly. This thread will be similar to J-Max's pokevolution thread, but still different.

To save you the time, I'm going to keep the explination short, and just get to the cards:

[spoiler=Effect]If you control another face-up Plant-Type monster, this card cannot be selected as an attack target by an opponent's monster. During your Standby Phase, you can tribute this face-up card you control to Specail Summon 1 "Sprouting Bud - Ivysaur" from your hand or Deck. The Deck is then shuffled.

[spoiler=Effect]If this card is Special Summoned by the effect of "Flowering Plant - Bulbasaur", during each of your Standby Phases, put 1 Flower counter on this card (max 3). Once per turn, you can remove 1 Flower counter from this card to destroy 1 Spell or Trap card on the field. When this card has 3 Flower Counters on it, you can send this card to the Graveyard to Special Summon 1 "Dangerous Rose - Venasaur" to your side of the field.

[spoiler=Effect]This card cannot be Normal Summoned or set. This card can only be Special Summoned by the effect of "Flowering Plant - Ivysaur". Once per turn, you can put 1 Solar counter on this card by this cards effect (max 1). If you do, this card cannot attack this turn. Increase the ATK of this card by the amount of Solar counters on this card x700. If this card attacks while it has a Solar counter on it, remove the Solar counter from it during the end of the Damage Step.

During the End Phase of a turn that this card inflicted Battle Damage to your opponent's Life Points, send this card to the Graveyard to Special Summon 1 "Blazing Dragon - Charizard" from your hand of Deck.

By sending 1 card from your hand to the Graveyard, destroy 1 card on the field. If you do, this card cannot declare an attack this turn.

[spoiler=Lazy People]When this card is Summoned, search your Deck for a "Battle Turtle - Wartortle" and put it in your hand. The Deck is the shuffled.

[spoiler=Effect]When an opponent's monster attacks this Defence Position card with an ATK that is lower than the DEF of this card, destroy the attacking monster during the end of the Damage Step. During the End Phase of a turn that this card destroyed an opponent's monster by battle, send this card to the Graveyard to Special Summon 1 "Aqua Cannon - Blastoise" from your hand of Deck.

[spoiler=Effect]When this card is Summoned, put 1 Meta counter on this card (max 1). Once per turn, during your Main Phase 2, you can send this card to the Graveyard with a Meta counter on it to Special Summon 1 "Evalutionary Cacoon - Metapod" from your hand or Deck.

[spoiler=Effect]If this card is Special Summoned by the effect of "Silk Worm - Caterpie", increase the DEF of this card by 500. During every 1 of your Standby Phases, place 1 Butterfly counter on this card (max 3). During your Standby Phase, you can send this card to the Graveyard with 3 Butterfly counters on it to Special Summon 1 "Psychic Butterfly - Butterfree" from your hand or Deck.

[spoiler=Effect]If you control another Insect-Type monster, this card cannot be selected as an attack target by an opponent's monster. Once per turn, you can look at 1 of your opponent's face-down cards. If your opponent activates the selected card this turn, inscrease your Life Points by 1000.

[spoiler=Effect]As long as you control this face-up card, monsters that battles with this card decreases it's ATK by 200 during every 1 of the controller's Standby Phases. During your Standby Phase, you can send this card to the Graveyard to Special Summon 1 "Evolutionary Cacoon - Kakuna" from your Deck.

[spoiler=Effect]When this card is destroyed by battle, you can Special Summon 1 "Poison Worm - Weedle" from your Graveyard. During your Standby Phase, send this card to the Graveyard to Special Summon 1 "Stinging Bee - Beedrill" from your hand or Deck.

[spoiler=Effect]If this card was Special Summoned by the effect of "Evolutionary Cacoon - Kakuna", during battle between this attacking monster and an opponent's Defense Position monster, inflict the differance as Battle Damage to your opponent's Life Points. When this card destroyes an opponent's monster by battle, it can attack once again in a row.

During the End Phase of a turn that this card card was selected as an attack target and was not destroyed by battle, send this card to the Graveyard to Special Summon 1 "Soaring Power - Pidgeotto" from your hand or Deck.

[spoiler=Effect]If this card was summoned by the effect of "Baby Bird - Pidgey", increase the ATK of this card for every card on your opponent's field x100. As long as you control this face-up card, increase the ATK of all WIND monsters by 500. Decrease the ATK of this card for every other monster you control x100. During the End Phase of a turn that this card destroyed an opponent's monster by battle, send this card to the Graveyard to Special Summon 1 "Powerful Beauty - Pidgeot" from your hand or Deck.

[spoiler=Effect]If this card was summoned by the effect of "Soaring Power - Pidgeotto", as long as you control this face-up card, increase the ATK and DEF of all WIND monsters by 800. If this card attacks a face-down Defense Position monster, you can destroy the monster immediately with this card's effect without flipping it face-up or applying damage calculation. During battle between this attacking card and a Defense Position monster whose DEF is lower than the ATK of this card, inflict the difference as Battle Damage to your opponent.

The art would be okay... if you actually resized them and didn't make them look a tad squashed. Some are okay though. My personal favourite is Venusaur. Also, one or two OCG errors such as not capitalising certain words and a few typos (like Evalutionary instead of Evolutionary).

 

Other than that, they get a 7/10 from me. Not too shabby. =)

Blastoise is pretty boring, other than that, this is pretty freaking amazing, i love it a lot. ^_^

 

Kicks pokevoltions ass big time. I think you should give a direct damage or detruction effect to blastoise, like tribute 1 monster to deal damage equal to that monsters ATK to your opponent.

Hello Yankeefan, trying are Pokemon set are we? Yeah, these are hard to do well in my opinion. I tried one myself and did pretty badly. Anyways, your cards. They seem alright thus far. I like how you haven't made seconds stages like Ivysaur and Charmeleon require their lower stages in order to be played because that is a mistake many people make. They seem more playable this way. Just a few things to pick at here and there (and I get really picky).

 

Bulbasaur:

Tribute needs a capital, and you have mispelt "Special". That's all really, the effect is fine.

Ivysaur:

Counter needs a capital, again the effect is fine.

Venusaur:

Counter needs a capital again and I think the Solarbeam-like effect should be more powerful, like perhaps destroying all cards in the same column? up to you, just my thought. If you want to make it stronger you should also perhaps increase the counter requirement to 2 for the effect.

Charmander:

Doesn't do much, but doesn't have to, that's fine.

Charmeleon:

Should say "each of your Standby Phases" not "every 1 of your Standby Phases". Its piercing effect makes it to easy to get Charizard on the field, in my opinion. I think you should either change the effect or the requirement to Special Summon Charizard. Maybe when his ATK exceeds a certain amount? not sure. id have to get back to you on that.

Charizard:

Woah, piercing damage AND a destroy monster effect? not overpowered but pretty damn powerful, ecspecially with Charmeleon as he is at the moment. Your other option for fixing Charmeleon would be to make Charizard weaker (but I do like him as he is).

Squirtle:

Again, fine.

Wartortle:

The effect is ok. It works for what it is and it doesn't seem to powerful or easy. Perhaps you could reduce his ATK a little bit, maybe 100 or 200 points? up to you. Not much to change here. Oh, except Defence is Defense. (Sorry to be so picky, can't help it)

Blastoise:

Hmmm, it works but I was expecting a bit more. Perhaps something based off Hydro Pump would be better?

Caterpie:

I agree with Mirage on this; why the counter? Might as well make him the same as the other stage ones. Other than that, it's fine.

Metapod:

It is fine. Only some OCG errors i think. Again it should be "each of your Standby Phases" not "every 1 of your Standby Phases" and Counter needs a capital.

Butterfree:

I like the effect. Very unique. Seems a bit weak though. But I guess that is what the immunity effect is for.

Weedle:

It doesn't seem to make much sense. Weedle's effect is only active if it is face-up but most monster would kill Weedle in battle anyways. I think you should remove the requirement for Weedle to be face-up and just have "Decrease the ATK of a monster that battles with this card by 200 points during each of the controller's Standby Phases."

Kakuna:

Nice, now that I have just read this if you change Weedle the two would make quite a potent combo. I like this one.

Beedrill:

Again, pretty good. It has piercing damage which suits it. It is quite easy to get on the field but it has lower end ATK so that's ok. Only thing is it's effect to attack once again. If the opponent had weaker monsters or you equipped it with a strong enough equip card, it could clear the field and do quite a bit of damage, perhaps too much. I reckon you might want to either have: 1. only it can attack if it attacks again OR 2. Negate damage after multiple attacks. Hmmm, then again, it may be alright as it is. Up to you.

 

Ok, that is what I have to say on these thus far. Hopefully I have given some good feedback and I respect that these are your cards and you may do with them as you wish. Don't mind my pick at any grammatical errors, I understand if you do not want to redo a whole card just to capitalise the odd word. Lastly, I know you apologise for the picture quality but don't worry I won't grade these cards on that. I can sympathise with how hard it is to find pictures. I made a pokemon set myself of all 151 originals. If you would like to take a look at it for ideas or pictures let me know. If you ever decided you wanted any pictures I would happily send you the picture and notify you of the artist so you can give credit. Good luck with the Pokemon.
