werewolfjedi
not using synchros? and why are there only 2 apprentice in this deck? your allowed to run 3. also, just a suggestion. arcane barrier. it can feed off of the apprentice engine to allow you to draw cards. and why no pot of avarice? if your using an engine, you need to make it keep going don't you? and royal oppression at 3 is a bit much, and they can use it to stop the apprentice engine, meaning you built in a weakness into the deck. you may want to rethink that. replace Dekoichi with an apprentice and a vindictive. the draw power isn't needed if it isn't part of the engine or isn't able to last the opponent's turn. - 1 royal oppression, +1 arcane barrier. you have 2 masks of darkness, you can just get it back, and now you have a reason to summon apprentice face up. or you can just leave it face down, ether way it still works. drawing 5 after the engine does it's work and leaves you with seer, but no other use for it, is helpful. also, a warning, the life point cost of this deck is extremely high, you need to be careful, or you lose fast. Akira
You can't use Oppression during the Damage Step - just like all other searchers, Apprentice gets around Oppression. Pot of Avarice isn't a bad idea though. I played the deck before and drawing multiple copies of Apprentice sucked, running Dekoichi gives me more options and actually holds it's own in battle whereas OVM, Apprentice and Seer have virtually no stats whatsoever. I don't see the problem personally. still, do you really need 3 oppressions? oh wait, trap eater right?.
Akira
By "hold it's own", I mean it can swing for damage and even run over Monarchs and some other big monsters when coupled with Book of Moon or E-Con. I HAVE to have a Monarch in hand to even bother flipping a Seer. Running the whole-hog Apprentice engine just doesn't seem like the best idea, since it more or less entirely relies on your monsters being destroyed in battle, which isn't always going to happen. I run 3 copies of Oppression because my local meta is Glads (mostly), LS (some) and Monk/Rose synchro things (some).

Akira
nice deck 9/10 -2 thestalos+1 cais+1 apprentice magician The 3rd Caius is sided. If you read the other posts you'll see why I don't want the 3rd Apprentice in there, but to be fair I just need to test it.. maybe the Apprentice-heavy version would work better, but this is how I played it in the past (only without Oppression) and it was very smooth. Changes made:-1 Oppression+1 Pot of Avarice
