Parting Shot
I had this random idea a few days ago and decided to make a set about it. Monsters:Scholar Novice Lynnley|Level 2/Spellcaster/EARTH/ATK 300/DEF 450|When an opponent's monster declares an attack against a face-up "Scholar" monster you control, you can discard this card from your hand to negate the attack of that 1 monster and end the Battle Phase. Scholar Novice Rubyn|Level 3/Spellcaster/EARTH/ATK 1150/DEF 200|If this card is used for a Synchro Summon and you have a face-up "Scroll" card in your Deck, you can treat it as a Level 4 monster. If you do, you can add 1 "Scroll" Spell or Trap Card from your Graveyard to your hand. Chief Scholar Matthias|Level 7/Spellcaster/EARTH/ATK 2700/DEF 1700|If there are 3 or more face-up "Scroll" Trap Cards in your opponent's Deck, you can Special Summon this card from your hand. If you do, you can shuffle 1 face-up "Scroll" card in your Deck into your opponent's Deck OR shuffle 1 face-up "Scroll" card in your opponent's Deck into your Deck. Monsters this card destroys by battle are removed from play instead of going to the Graveyard. Spells:Scroll of Might|Normal Spell|Shuffle this face-up card into your Deck. While this card is face-up in a Deck, "Scholar" monsters gain 400 ATK. When this face-up card is drawn, it is sent to the original owner's Graveyard. Scroll of Dexterity|Normal Spell|Shuffle this face-up card into your Deck. While this card is face-up in a Deck, "Scholar" monsters gain 500 DEF. When this face-up card is drawn, it is sent to the original owner's Graveyard. Tome of Spellcasting|Continuous Spell|When you activate a "Scroll" Spell Card, you can place it on this card instead of in your Deck (max 1). "Scroll" cards on this card are treated as being face-up in your Deck. If this card would be destroyed, you can destroy 1 face-up "Scholar" monster you control instead. Casting Aid|Quick-Play Spell|Select 1 face-up "Tome" card you control. While the selected card remains face-up on the field, you can have 2 "Scroll" cards on it instead of 1. Scroll Defense|Quick-Play Spell|Send 1 face-up "Scroll" Spell Card in your Deck to the Graveyard. "Scholar" monsters you control cannot be destroyed by battle this turn. Traps:Scroll of Divination|Normal Trap|Shuffle this face-up card into your opponent's Deck. While this card is face-up in a Deck, this card's original owner can look at the top card of the Deck during their Standby Phase. When this face-up card is drawn, it is sent to the original owner's Graveyard. Tome of Trapcasting|Continuous Trap|When you activate a "Scroll" Trap Card, you can place it on this card instead of in your opponent's Deck (max 1). "Scroll" cards on this card are treated as being face-up in your opponent's Deck. If this card would be destroyed, you can discard 1 "Scholar" monster or "Scroll" card from your hand instead. Scroll Snare|Counter Trap|Send 1 face-up "Scroll" Trap Card in your opponent's Deck to the Graveyard. Destroy all face-up monsters your opponent controls. Link to comment
