Help with Koa'Ki Meiru (Giving 3 Reps)

Recommended Posts

Here's the deal. I like the Koa'Ki Meirus, traded for a bunch of it at sneek peak. Made a deck. It's horrible. But I already traded cards and don't want to just throw out, so I need some help. 3 Reps to the person that fixes it for me:

Monsters: 20

Marauding Captain x3

Koa'Ki Meiru Guardian x3

Koa'Ki Meiru Drago x2

Koa'Ki Meiru Valafar x1

Koa'Ki Meiru War Arms x2

Koa'Ki Meiru Powerhand x2

Koa'Ki Meiru Doom x3

Neo-Spacian Grand Mole x1

Sangan x1

Twin-Headed Behemoth x1 (To be replaced with a 3rd Drago when I get it)

Koa'Ki Meiru Ice x1

Spells: 14

Iron Core of Koa'Ki Meiru x3

Heavy Storm x1

Reinforcement of the Army x1

Lightning Vortex x2

Brain Control x1

Monster Reborn x1

Cold Wave x1

Iron Core Immediate Disposal x2

Mystical Space Typhoon x1

Reasoning x1

Traps: 6

Phoenix Wing Wind Blast x1

Reckoned Power x2

Mirror Force x1

Bottomless Trap Hole x2

My only request here is please...do not suggest Solemn. I know they are awesome. I don't have them. I can't get them. If you say 'Remove x cards for 3 Solemns' it won't help me, as I'll still be stuck with X cards. I don't mind you mentioning cards I don't have, I understand your not savvy with my entire collection. Solemns are just a bit impossibe for me right now.

Thanks,

Zenju

Its all good. Drop marauding, it'll dump your hand. The problem with this deck is you don't have the magic and trap support cards for the iron core monsters. Stuff like beckoning power(really nice card, basically free feather duster) You run two of each of the Kokei things. Three of the best ones. This deck is naturally anti meta so some royal oppressions or skill drains might work nicely in here. If you do throw in skill drain barbaros goes in without question. Hope that helps.

It's Reckoned Power, I have 2 in there. I was thinking about dropping Marauding, but then I have to drop War Arms. I decided on Bottomless rather than that laser thing. It's more conditional and doesn't remove. I was thinking about oppression, but I only have one.

Maybe Skill Drain would do good. Wouldn't have to reveal and such. But if I wanted Skill Drain, I'd prbly just do Vanilla Water, or straight Skill Drain...

You don't know anybody with oppressions. Drop a vortex, its going to minus 2 you at some point and then the deck will be fail. Straight skill drain isn't perfect. If you don't get skill drain first turn in those decks then you are screwed. Which is why it would do better in this. This isn't dependent on that infernal trap.

3x Koa'Ki Meiru Guardian

3x Koa'Ki Meiru Drago

2x Koa'Ki Meiru Powerhand

1x Koa'Ki Meiru Doom

2x Fossil Dyna Pachycephalo

3x Thunder King Rai-Oh

1x Morphing Jar

Spells: 8

3x Steel Core

2x Book of Moon

1x Core Disposal

1x Brain Control

1x Heavy Storm

Traps: 12

3x Reckoning Power

3x Royal Oppression

3x Threatening Roar

3x PWWB

My friend basically did the same thing. My sugestion to him was to focus on the negation Monsters.

Drago x3

Powerhand x3

Guardian x3

Doom x3

Valafar x1 <-- is also a fiend for doom

Gran Mole x1 (rock type to keep guardian on the field)

Morphing Jar x1 (same as the mole)

Caius x1 (same as gorz)

Prime Material Dragon x2 (Dragon type to keep drago around)

Cyber Dragon x1 (Machine type to keep powerhand around)

Jinzo x1 (same as CD)

dont know what to do with the spell and traps but those are the monsters i told him to use and he and my brother agree.

Not true. From what I understand of the situation, the cost to keep Koa'Ki Meiru monsters in play is a maintenance cost, not an effect. Skill Drain does not negate maintenance costs. Not only that, but then the Koa'ki Meiru lose their anti-LIGHT and DARK abilities.

As for the deck, I don't run Koa'ki Meiru yet, I want to get reviews on it first before I build one. I'll probably wait to build one until Ancient Prophecy comes out. I just want to point out the following things:

-You're using Ice. Not really the greatest idea, especially when you don't have any Continuous Spells in your deck.

-You're using 2 War Arms. He doesn't seem to do anything anti-meta wise, and he's kinda weak, so I really don't see the point.

-Another Powerhand could help. You might want more Normal traps in that deck, like Threatening Roar.

I know I didn't help much, but I got what I wanted to say in.

No taggings not maintenance, that's optional. I understand what he's saying, it's like even if you Solemn Vortex, they still need to discard. It's a cost. But Powerhands doesn't need machines. He needs Normal Traps.

3x Tragoedia

No clue what this is.

I also have no idea what Ancient Prophecy is.
