How stupid Is Nintendo?

Im at my friends house, and we decided to play online. It was fun for a bit, but than we realized why wasn't Nintendo smart enough to do their WIFI like Sony or Microsoft? Not all my friends have Wii's, but People I play online does, so why can't i instantly add them as a friend? Its bad business.

(By the way, Im looking to brawl with many people, so add me.

What do you guys think?

Nintendo in general has been pretty inefficient with online gaming. The "friend code" system hasn't been employed in years. But in order to do a more efficient system, more information is required. The friend code system sustains the anonymousity of the internet. Also, it means that you know exactly who is adding you to thier friends list.

=/ It's annoying, but not unbearable.

True, I would much rather be able to extend anonymous challenges to people over Wifi on Pokemon, but I hear they've remedied that issue in Platinum.

So they're making small progression, at least.

They DO let you play anonymously on Brawl, but the default rules they set for those fights are bothersome to the point that I don't waste my time with it. -_-

If you mean qwhen you say "like Sony or microsoft" you mean: server selection (other than that retarded search for game crap) then yes. That's the only bad thing. Oh, and when you play with a bunch of guys on WPA networks, it lags like hell. Which is why I never bought a wii. Cuz if u play on a WPA network, you can only get like 4 players on a game. Cuz WPA is too much for the childish system to handle. Yes, nintendo focused too much on the "awesome motion controller" that they forgot any element of fun in the system. Great idea indeed. But poorly executed, making a joke of great games like CoD3 and CoD5.

Obviously they are stupid enough to make one of the top selling games of all time.

Top selling doesn't mean top quality.

People could have got lured in by the exaggerated descriptions on the back of the box/packet/etc.

I choose PS3 over Wii. I'll probably be selling ma Wii soon >:3

But it does mean it has played good. Why do you think they make game review magazines and stuff for? If one person buys it, he tells a friend that it is "awesomely pwningful" don't you think a few of his friends would take his advise and buy it?

Wait, that sentence is an oxymoron.

The PS3 has maybe 1 good game (MGS4) and Eye of Judgement which has s4!++y technology and should have had something like it for yugioh years ago.

The sixaxis controller is awkward to use the motion sensitivity, and is basically the revised PS1 controller.

And even though it has graphics cards coming out of the wazoo, it still looks like hell on even an HD.

The Wii, on the other hand, does not have to pretend it is something it isn't. Nintendo says here you go, hands us a controller, and we have fun.

And as I have said earlier, the entire internet thing can be attributed to 3 reasons: 1)Nintendo is still new at this, and couldn't be bothered to copy Microsoft, 2)US wifi sucks, 3)Nintendo went with simplicity and anonomity.

(Me) "Wow. This Nintendo Revolution sure saved gaming."

(Cyber Al) "It sure did."

(Gaming) "I am saved..."

(Me) "now i can do all my chorus that i hate in real life, but its virtual now, so its all cool!"

(Cyber Al) "im getting bored of lawnmower 128. can we put in 3d drywalling?"

(Me) "NO!"

^ that sums up the wii, if me and Cyber Altair lived together... or something...

yeah

wii sucks [/thread]

Wait' date=' that sentence is an oxymoron. - [b']No it isn't. Clearly, you don't understand the definition of Oxymoron.[/b]

The PS3 has maybe 1 good game (MGS4) and Eye of Judgement which has s4!++y technology and should have had something like it for yugioh years ago. - So the only good games are apparently Shooter games? Because you missed Assassin's Creed, Littlebig Planet, The Eternal Sonata Remake, Bioshock (another shooter), Heavenly Sword (short but sweet), Mirror's Edge, and the upcoming RPGs that are going to be hitting it.

The sixaxis controller is awkward to use the motion sensitivity, and is basically the revised PS1 controller. - PS2 Controller. And see, there's an option on all PS3 games that lets you adjust motion sensitivity, so that it suits your liking.

And even though it has graphics cards coming out of the wazoo, it still looks like hell on even an HD. - Have you tried configuring the HD settings via the *gasp* Settings menu? It could also be an issue with your TV. I have mine plugged into an HD TV, and it looks gorgeous.

The Wii, on the other hand, does not have to pretend it is something it isn't. Nintendo says here you go, hands us a controller, and we have fun. - Yay! Let's go play Tennis, Cook things, do chores, make stupid chibis, and get frustrated when the sensor decides to randomly misread your directions! I'M HAVING SO MUCH FUN.

And as I have said earlier, the entire internet thing can be attributed to 3 reasons: 1)Nintendo is still new at this, and couldn't be bothered to copy Microsoft

All things considered, it probably should have.

2)US wifi sucks

PS3 and 360 beg to differ

3)Nintendo went with simplicity and anonomity.

Which was clearly a mistake.

Bolded replies for the win?
