Baroque in Paradise
UGH. Please, PLEASE put the images in the post with IMG tags rather than attaching them, it's in good taste and makes people more likely to review your cards. As for reviews . . . Ash Ketchum: Vanilla, no support to make it excusable, made-up type, and inexcusably-high, no-gimp DEF for a Level 4. BAD. Boogeyman: Vanilla, made-up type (Fiend would be appreciated), acceptible stats . . . but STILL. Bag O Worms: Useless, weaksauce weak, and poorly-worded. Sorry, but it doesn't sit well. Evil Skull of Darkness: Mirror Force exists for a reason. And on top of that, you tackily enough decided on making a QUICK-PLAY TRAP. Traps are ALREADY Spell Speed 2, they don't need to be Quick-Play at all (in fact, there ARE NO QUICK-PLAY TRAPS; Field Traps are excusable because they open some new territory, but this is just tacky). Frylock: Decent stats for its level, somewhat-wordy flavor text, vanilla, but . . . MADE-UP TYPE. GAH. Potatoes are a root vegetable, this guy could be put under 'Plant' or 'Warrior' if you so chose, but NO . . . *sigh* Master Shake: AUGH. What is it with you and vanillas with little or no support? And this tacky made-up typing to boot? Everything else is OK, but what's wrong with it is what aggrieves me so. Meatwad: AUGH SQUARED. THIS IS TERRIBLE. Too-high DEF for its level, FLAVOR TEXT in an Effect Monster (there's a reason I put down Sacred Cards after a while, and it's not because of the Card Point System or the severe lack of duelists at the endgame), and what's worse . . . IT GAINS MORE DEF. Nevermind that the effect is worded terribly, the fact that it gets more DEF is bad enough. For those who didn't bother to check it out: IT'S A LEVEL 5 MONSTER WITH 3000 DEF. Mr. Sparkle: What is with you and disproportionate ATK levels? This THING is once again given a fan-made type, but what makes it terrible is the fact that you've got a 3000 ATK, Level 6 vanilla parading around. Popeye: A vanilla with decent-for-its-Level stats, but once again the typing does it in for me (SAILOR MAN? TRY WARRIOR). Spinach: Bland, boring, I get more mileage out of a Black Pendant, and once again you need to work on your wording. Please go read up on some card effects before you try to fix this whole thing. All in all . . . I'm sorry, but I can't put it any plainer: YOU LOSE. This is absolutely horrible with no exception, and I really think that you ought to actually go back to playing YGO a bit before you try this stuff again -- it'll help you realize what's broken, what's fair, and what's trite. I apologize if I offend you, but I'm just calling it as I see it.
