Ascend Monsters? Light Blue cards? WTF?!

Yes, you've read it very good. I was seeing alot of people making new cards like all, red cards and new monsters all that kind of things. So i wanted to make my own cards. These cards are comparable to Ritual monsters. These are the rulings:

 

-Ascend Monsters are put in your Main Deck, it doesn't go in the Extra Deck.

 

-Ascend Summon is treated as a NORMAL SUMMON, it's not the same as Fusion Summon, Synchro Summon, or Ritual Summon.

 

-Ascend monsters cannot be Ascend Summoned if you already Normal Summoned or Set that turn. Because you can only Normal Summon once per turn. However, you can use cards like Ultimate Offering and Double Summon to Normal Summon more than once.

 

Even though Ascend Summon is treated as a Normal Summon, you cannot Set an Ascend Monster. You can, however, place it in Face-up Defense Position when you Ascend Summon it.

 

-You cannot Tribute only 1 monster, you need 2 or more monsters to Ascend Summon Ascend Monsters.

 

-The effect means that the combined ATK of the monsters or the combined DEF of the monsters must be equal to or higher than the ATK OR DEF of the Ascend monster. For example, if you have 1 Sabersaurus(1900/500 ATK/DEF) and 1 Winged Kuriboh (300/200 ATK/DEF) on the field, the combined ATK is 2200. and the combined DEF is 700, then if the ATK is equal or higher than the Ascend monster's ATK OR DEF, you can Ascend Summon that monster by tributing the monsters. If the combined DEF is equal to or higher than the Ascend Monsters ATK or DEF, you can also Ascend Summon that monster. So even if the combined ATK isn't higher than the ATK or DEF of the Ascend Monster, and if the Combined DEF of the monsters is equal to or higher, then you can Ascend Summon that Ascend Monster, because the combined DEF was higher than the ATK or DEF of the Ascend Monster. I hope i explained it good :P

 

-Ascend Monsters are Ascend Summoned from your hand, so you cannot tribute monsters on your side of the field to Ascend Summon a monster from your Deck, unless a card's effect says so.

 

-Ascend monsters can only be Special Summoned when they're properly summoned beforehand. If your opponent, for example, did Card Destruction, and your Ascend monster is send to the Graveyard because of Card Destruction, it is not properly summoned, and you cannot Special Summon it with cards like Monster Reborn.

Haha thnx alot man :D Yes, Chrome is a weird name, i couldn't think of anything better. I'm really glad people like these cards. Therefor, i'll make some more and support. :D

i think that the idea is absoutly brilliant and would be great as real cards i would use them all the time in my deck the chrome name is cool the re-colouring job is very nice.

Hm, crystal blue cards... nice. Because of how they work, I though that monsters maybe advance to a higher level of existence to actually 'become' the new monster, something like this. Btw, you said in your post only 1 (!) monster can be tributed to summon the new chrome monster, but your cards say 'combined ATK & DEF of monsters'.

hmm your right, then i suppose that you need to tribute 2 or more monsters, i'm gonna change that then! I actually like Ascend, let's see Ascend monsters, lol sounds awesome XD. But whats wrong with Chrome? Also, Crystal, Advance, Uprise, and Liquid monsters sounds like they do not fit the team. I mean, Advance Monsters? Sounds a bit weird to me, and Liquid is like, all liquid monsters, slime things o.o. Maybe i'll change it to Ascend, sort of does fit the effects.

end of the turn = End Phase

OK, just to make you feel bad and make you feel like you wasted all this time on them.

 

Why not just make them ordinary Effect monsters, but with a specific effect at the start, like;

 

"This monster cannot be Special Summoned. This monster can only be Normal Summoned by Tributing 2 or more monsters you control whose ATK or DEF are equal to or higher than the ATK or DEF of this card."

 

-Then put the additional effect on the end.

 

Think of Crystal Beasts, they arent made into special cards because they go into the S/T zone, they just have it in their effect.

True, however, Crystal Beast is an archetype, so making a different card type for an archetype is very weird lol. But my Chrome Monsters, are like Ritual monsters. They have an alternative effect on how to summon them. Besides, the Chrome Monsters are not incommon with effects, just the cardtype is the same. Crystal Beasts all have the same beginning effect. I'm also wondering, why wouldn't Ritual monsters be just ordinary Effect Monsters then?

I do not think so, Marvel™. If a monster is not normal summoned via tributing, it is special summoned in any kind of way (Fusion, Ritual, Synchro and what else there is). The difference to this is just, here it IS a normal summon, and hence he plans a whole new type for this, it cannot just be done by a simple monster card's effect. Also why bother with arguing about this anyway? It is his decision, and making a whole new type of cards does not happen all days anyway.
