Baroque in Paradise
After much critiquing, I've decided to break down and post some of my cards. These cards were inspired by the Earthbound Immortals and their effect(s) (and can actually support said Earthbounds courtesy of the field spell); the point of them is that they NEED a Field, and Bounded Field supplies them with that. I've tried to make it balanced yet stay true to the concept from which they sprung: here they are: [spoiler=Monsters]Bounded DrakeLv4-ERT-Dragon/Effectatk1900def0- This card cannot be Normal Summoned unless you control a Field Spell. This card inflicts Piercing Damage. When this card inflicts Battle Damage, you gain an equal amount of Life Points. Bounded FalconLv4-WND-Winged-Beast/Effectatk1800def0- This card cannot be Normal Summoned unless you control a Field Spell. Once per turn, when a card's effect to destroy a Spell or Trap Card(s) on the field is activated, you can send 1 card from your hand to the Graveyard to negate its activation and destroy the card. Bounded MoldLv4-WTR-Plant/Effectatk1500def2000- This card cannot be Normal Summoned or exist in Attack Position unless you control a Field Spell. While this card is in face-up Attack Position, all non-'Bounded' Monsters have their ATK halved. Bounded DjinnLv4-FIR-Pyro/Effectatk2100def0- This card cannot be Normal Summoned unless you control a Field Spell. You may discard this card from your hand to add a 'Bounded Field' from your Deck or Graveyard to your hand. Bounded SoulLv4-DRK-Fiend/Effectatk1700def900- If this card is Normal Summoned and you do not control a Field Spell, it is switched to Defense Position. This Attack Position monster cannot be selected as an attack target, and can attack your opponent's Life Points directly. Direct Damage dealt by this monster is halved. Bounded TimeLv4-LGT-Fairy/Tuneratk0def0- This card cannot be Normal Summoned unless you control a Field Spell. This card can only be used for the Synchro Summoning of a LIGHT-Attribute or "Bounded" Synchro Monster. If this card's ATK would be increased or decreased, instead it gains or loses 1 Level for every 700 ATK it would gain or lose. [spoiler=Synchros]Bounded GigantLv8-FIR-Rock/Synchro/Effect"Bounded Time" + 1 non-Tuner "Bounded" Monsteratk3500def3000- You can only control 1 "Bounded" Synchro Monster at a time. This card cannot be Synchro Summoned if you do not control a Field Spell. If a Field Spell is destroyed, this card is returned to the Extra Deck. This card can attack your opponent's Life Points Directly. Bounded WyvernLv8-ERT-Dragon/Synchro/Effectatk3300def2900- You can only control 1 "Bounded" Synchro Monster at a time. This card cannot be Synchro Summoned if you do not control a Field Spell. If a Field Spell is destroyed, this card is returned to the Extra Deck. When this card is Synchro Summoned, you may destroy up to 3 face-down cards on the field. Bounded MedusaLv8-WTR-Aqua/Synchro/Effect"Bounded Time" + 1 non-Tuner "Bounded" Monsteratk2500def2700- You can only control 1 "Bounded" Synchro Monster at a time. This card cannot be Synchro Summoned if you do not control a Field Spell. If a Field Spell is destroyed, this card is returned to the Extra Deck. While you control this monster, your opponent cannot activate Spell or Trap Cards during the Battle Phase. Bounded SilphyLv8-WND-Fairy/Synchro/Effect"Bounded Time" + 1 non-Tuner "Bounded" Monsteratk2700def2500- You can only control 1 "Bounded" Synchro Monster at a time. This card cannot be Synchro Summoned if you do not control a Field Spell. If a Field Spell is destroyed, this card is returned to the Extra Deck. When this card destroys a monster, you gain Life Points equal to the Level of the destroyed monster x200, and your opponent takes an equal amount of damage. Bounded ErebusLv8-DRK-Fiend/Synchro/Effect"Bounded Time" + 1 non-Tuner "Bounded" or "Legion" Monsteratk3000def3000- You can only control 1 "Bounded" Synchro Monster at a time. This card cannot be Synchro Summoned if you do not control a Field Spell. If a Field Spell is destroyed, this card is returned to the Extra Deck. Neither player draws during the Draw Phase. Once per turn, you may select two cards, one each of either Monster, Spell, or Trap, from your Deck and send them to the Graveyard to give this card the following effects until the End Phase based on which cards were selected:•Monster: When this card attacks, you may destroy the attacked monster without Damage Calculation or flipping it face-up.•Spell: This card cannot be destroyed by your opponent's card effects.•Trap: Once per turn, you may destroy one Spell or Trap Card your opponent controls. Bounded MirrorLv8-LGT-Spellcaster/Synchro/Effect"Bounded Time" + 1 non-Tuner "Bounded" Monsteratk?def?- You can only control 1 "Bounded" Synchro Monster at a time. This card cannot be Synchro Summoned if you do not control a Field Spell. If a Field Spell is destroyed, this card is returned to the Extra Deck. This card's ATK and DEF are always equal to that of the monster with the highest ATK on the field (except "Bounded Mirror") +100. This card cannot be attacked while you control a Field Spell. [spoiler=Bounded Field, the Field Spell]Bounded Field- FIELD SPELLThis card cannot be destroyed or removed from the field by your opponent's card effects. If your opponent activates a Field Spell, you may return a "Bounded" Synchro Monster you control to the Extra Deck to negate that Field Spell's activation and destroy it (cards and their effects cannot be activated in response to this effect's activation). OCG fixes if required are welcomed, as are reviews and constructive criticism. All I ask is that you don't just go 'oh stupid lolz' or 'oh broken lolz' without giving a reason why. That being said, enjoy. Link to comment
AbbatonStrikes
I like the idea but the field spell is a lttiel too well protected and your synchro monsters ATK's are a little high for lvl 8 and with there effects two atks and the game is over almost regardless of what defence an opponent has. I can see you used losing the Field spell as a negative but it cant be as your opponent can get rid of it. with an effect. And what is piercing damage?? Link to comment

During battle between this attacking card and a Defense Position monster whose DEF is lower than the ATK of this card, inflict the difference as Battle Damage to your opponent. It's there term for the above effect. Link to comment
AbbatonStrikes
Oh right got you thought it was, didnt wanna assume cause its the mother of all.... Link to comment
Freezyefc
Hmm.. Bounded Field- FIELD SPELLThis card cannot be destroyed or removed from the field by your opponent's card effects. If your opponent activates a Field Spell, you may return a "Bounded" Synchro Monster you control to the Extra Deck to negate that Field Spell's activation and destroy it (cards and their effects cannot be activated in response to this effect's activation). The opponent CAN choose to set the field spell instead to get around this. Link to comment
Baroque in Paradise
Nice to see someone caught one of my nerfs. You need to have a Synchro out for the Field Spell to save itself from another Field Spell, and even then it sets you back a ways. And my bad, I forgot to put the materials for Bounded Wyvern -- though you can just assume they're the same as the others (barring Erebus; he ties in with another theme I'd written up). And there's actually ONE card in Yu-Gi-Oh! that uses the term I used -- Cyberdark Horn. (I've just used that as an excuse to save card space where I can, really, but it is printed that way -- in BOTH packs it appeared in.) The protection of the Field is the only point for the field -- it doesn't give any bonuses other than keeping itself alive for the Bounded and Earthbound monsters; and as for the Synchros . . . they're capable of being killed much in the way that everything else is -- stuff like Sakuretsu and Compulsory can easily render them a moot point. Also, I should point out now that each of the 'Bounded' monsters looks like another monster from canon YGO, given an Earthbound makeover, with the exception of 'Bounded Time' . . . [spoiler=The monsters they resemble.]Bounded Drake looks like an Earthbound-ized Luster Dragon. Bounded Falcon looks like an Earthbound-ized Tornado Bird. Bounded Mold looks like an Earthbound-ized Glow Moss (or Twinkle Moss, I haven't quite decided). Bounded Djinn looks like an Earthbound-ized Spirit of Flame. Bounded Soul looks like Call of the Earthbound with Earthbound-ized hands (if that even makes sense). Bounded Time looks like a point in space into which white energy is spiralling -- a temporal rift in space. Meanwhile, the Bounded SYNCHROS all look like giant versions of their original monster, with the added benefit of Earthbound-reminiscent form and circuitry. Bounded Gigant looks like that giant Jim Cook used, 'Earth Giant Gaia Plate', Earthbound-ized with a touch of 'Apu. Bounded Wyvern looks like an Earthbound-ized Genesic Dragon mixed with the physique of Tyrant Dragon. Bounded Medusa looks like 'Jellyfish' (that old vanilla Mako used), Earthbound-ized. Bounded Silphy looks like an Earthbound-ized 'Spirit of the Breeze'. Bounded Erebus looks like, well . . . a monster of my partial design, 'Erebus, Legion Unbound', which was inspired by Persona 3 FES's final boss (Erebus -- how original of me *sarcasm*). Bounded Mirror looks like a pure-white 'Fiend's Mirror' with Earthbound-ized 'interior' -- that is, if you look into the mirror you'll see an Earthboundized landscape of cubes and paths -- in fact, when it attacks, the world flips around, putting the monsters inside the mirror's scape (and making it visible to the duelists), and then smashing or killing them with the scenery before flipping back to the real world (which is visible through the mirror while it is attacking). Bounded Field, on the other hand, looks like a ripple in space from which the Bounded monsters appear. Consider its card image like that of Fusion Gate, only instead of a vortex appearing the field is distorted and rippled, and sparks of lightning arc across the front. Yes, I've put some thought into this, why? Anyways, if anyone is willing to go to the trouble of making art for these cards, I'd be more than happy to incorporate them into actual cards so that this theme gets the right to go into the 'Realistic Cards' board.
