Card Lore:

This card cannot be Normal Summoned or Set except by Tributing 2 Spellcaster-Type monsters you control. When this card is Normal Summoned or Flip Summoned, place 2 Spell Counters on it (max. 4). Once per turn, if you control this card on the field, you can equip it to a face-up monster you control as an Equip Spell Card, OR unequip the Union equipment and Special Summon this card in face-up Attack Position. Increase the equipped monster's ATK and DEF by 200 points for each Spell Counter on this card. If the equipped monster destroys a monster by battle, place 1 Spell Counter on this card. During each of your Battle Phases, you can pay 800 Life Points to unequip this card and remove 4 Spell Counters to Special Summon 1 "Illusion Token". "Illusion Tokens" have the same Level, Type, Attribute, ATK and DEF as the monster that was equipped with this card this turn. Destroy all "Illusion Tokens" during the End Phase of the turn they were Special Summoned. (1 monster can only be equipped with 1 Union Monster at a time. If the equipped monster would be destroyed, this card is destroyed instead.)

Effect:

This card is treated as a Normal Monster while face-up on the field or in the Graveyard. While this card is face-up on the field, you can Normal Summon it to have it be treated as an Effect Monster with this effect:

-Place Spell Counters on this card equal to the number of unoccupied Spell & Trap Card Zones on the field. Each time this card inflicts Battle Damage to your opponent, remove 1 Spell Counter from this card. If this card has no Spell Counters on it, place it at the bottom of your Deck and Summon 2 "Mirage Tokens" (Spellcaster-Type/LIGHT/Level 3/ATK 1200/DEF 600). As long as the "Mirage Tokens" are on the field, Battle Damage inflicted to your Life Points from battles involving Spellcaster-Type monsters becomes halved. Destroy the "Mirage Tokens" during your 3rd End Phase after it was Summoned.

Tokens, Sub-Types and Spell Counters? An odd and awesome combination.

 

Anyway, I'm siding with Card A (Well, you have named the creators in this one... But anyway...). Card B is good, no denying it. But it doesn't seem to have an interesting ability. You get two tokens when it runs out of counter, which is difficult to abuse since it's a Gemini. The tokens are a tad boring really, halve the damage of battle involving Spellcasters? Not very interesting. although it is a neat way to get Spell Counters.

 

Was it a point to make sure that they didn't get the Spell Counters through ordinary means? I'm curious.

 

Card A on the other hand, has an interesting union ability, if a tad slow considering it takes four (Well, two to begin with) kills to get a token (Albeit a useful attacking token) that lasts a turn. Although I suppose with Spell Counter decks... Another question I have is if there should be an extra line of text to show that it keeps and can be given Spell Counters as an Equip Spell. Not sure if it's needed, just thought I'd say it. I suppose that Pitch-Black Power Stone...

 

But yeah, I do prefer Card A.

zeaux i respect u for that u didnt just vote for someone for the heck of it thank u!!!!!but since i love gemini and union monster i will vote!! i feel that as usual the ocg between these two high level ycmakers are basicall perfect, however i am HUGE on creativity and i just feel that card A was really creative. so card A gets my vote.

I know this may sound crazy to everyone but the reason why i wanted to battle against DeMeNTeD is because i want to show all CONTENDERS, that the important thing about a match is not winning but LEARNING. No matter who you face. DeMeNTeD was kind enough to accept my invitation.

 

Just for everyone's attention, DeMeNTeD made his card while being busy with some Family Business. Although DeMeNTeD, you really made 1 heck of a pic^_^

 

Since the contest is over. I would like to point out the errors of my card.

I actually posted the wrong one.

 

1st - the creator. notice that there are two 2009's in it^_^

2nd - the set ID. Should have been PTPP - EN

3rd - 1st Edition. Should have been Limited Edition^_^

 

 

Honestly, i'm also happy since:

 

"I just got one of the best +3reps of my life"
