YCM and the Special Characters

I'm having a few technical difficulties with a card I'm working on.

 

I've seen other members with this character in their card: ●

 

However, I've never been able to get it to work in my cards, and any attempts of mine to insert the character in my image have remained utterly tacky and unprofessional.

 

So, I ask of you all: is there a way to put special characters such as the ubiquitous dot in cards via YCM, or if not can anyone share a way to insert the dot into an existing card's image so that I have it available for eventual printings?

Some people have trouble using bullets. Personally, I do this instead:

 

1) Put a lowercase O

2) Save the card to your computer

3) Open Paint

4) Fill in the O with black

5) Save card

6) Upload image to Photobucket/Tinypic/Other image host

You can use Microsoft Paint, GIMP, Photoshop etc. to add them to your cards, but using bullets in a cards effet doesn't work.
