A Duelists Destiny. [First Fanfic]

Hi, welcome to my first yu-gi-oh fan fic, "A Duelists Destiny."

Firstly, i will not be using cards that exist in the card game, and will probably make up a few as i go along, also for duels i will be using script writing, and will always keep you up to date with the duel in a small box at the bottom like this: [LP: 8000][Hand: 6][Field: 0][Magic: 0] and also [Graveyard: ?] when its neccesary. When a character becomes a main character i will design them a deck, but probably only say the names and type (Monster trap ect.), and make up the effects as the story goes along. So firstly i publish Shi's deck, he is the main character in this story:

Shi awoke to the obnoxious sound of his loud alarm clock. He waved his arm at the table next to his bed, trying to shut the clock up. Finally, after about 5 minutes of trying to turn the alarm off he got up out of bed and dressed himself, he picked up his deck, strapped on his duel disk and raced down the stairs.

"I'm going to school now guys!" Shi shouted at his mother.

"What about breakfast?" She tried to reply, but Shi had already ran out of the house.

He walked to school and saw a crowd of kids gathering around the park, there was a duel going on; and Shi couldnt resist having a quick look.

By the time Shi got there the battle was over, the loser stood out pretty easily, but he pushed past the crowd and shamefully walked to school.

"Hey you! I'll duel ya'" He shouted at Shi.

Shi pondered for a second, but promptly agreed to the duel.

"Fine, but don't cry to me when you lose!" Shi shouted arrogantly.

"Lets go!" They both shouted in enthusiastic voices.

 

Shi: I'll draw first.

Hmm...not the best hand i could've hoped for, but i'll make do.

I activate call of the flame, as you may know it allows me to summon any 4 star FIRE monster from my deck and summon it to the field, and this card just happens to be mischevious solar imp. When the imp is summoned all of your spell and trap card zones are filled with tokens, these cards can be activated but have absolutely no effect! Also, my imp has 1500 ATK, so its a force to be reckoned with!

Kyle: Heh, you didn't even ask me my name! It's Kyle for the record. Now i'll draw!Hah, the perfect hand; Lord of D, Blue-eyes and a flute of the summoning dragon!Well, i'll start by activating one of those pesky spell tokens, but it isn't enough to stop me! I summon Lord of D to the field and activate the flute of the summoning dragon, allowing me to summon both of my Blue-Eyes white dragons, now destroy that pesky imp and attack him directly!

[Kyle:][LP:8000][Hand: 2][Field 2][Magic: 4]

 

Shi: Good move...Darn, he might actually win this...No! Don't think like that! I summon a fading necromancer, thanks to his effect, i can sacrafice any amount of lifepoints to permenantly increase his ATK to that, and i sacrafice 3400 of my lifepoints! Now i activate engulfing flame on one of those pesky dragons; by removing one FIRE monster from play i can destroy one of your monsters until this card is removed from the field, i remove from play mischevious imp, and my fading necromancer attacks your remaining dragon!

[Kyle:][LP: 7600][Hand: 2][Field: 0][Magic: 4]

 

Kyle: Huh?! That isn't possible! Darn this stupid hand, i'll use card destruction! I activate card destruction, we both discard our hands and draw the same amount of cards as we had. No...I've lost! I set a spell card and end my turn...

Shi: Time to finish this duel! I activate empowerment of the flame, if i equip it to any FIRE monster i control it can attack as many times as there are FIRE monsters in my hand, and guess what; theres 3. Fading necromancer is equipped with this and attacks you 3 times directly, thats game!

[Kyle:][LP: 0]

 

"I...I lost... That isn't possible..." Kyle shivered, as Shi attempted to give him a handshake he walked off and past the crowd. Shi continued walking to duel academy and nothing else interesting happened, although he did see 3 hooded figures...

Shi arrived at the duel academy, the tall building towered over him, and the masses of duelists were all heading to there lessons. Shi followed the crowd, and eventually found his friend Matt.

"Hey matt, know what lesson were in?" Shi said nervously, hoping he'd say yes.

"Yeah Shi, trust you to remember anything, our rooms right in front of you." Matt said in a friendly, but mocking way.

Shi chuckled and walked into the class, there was a tall, well built man standing at the front in a neat suit, he looked like the president compared to us in our rag-tag clothing.

"Hello class, my name is Mr. Reges, i will be your tutor for the rest of this year, now i trust all of you know the basics of dueling?" He announced in a deep voice.

Everyone seemed to be muttering yes and talking under there breath.

"So, let's start with some practicals 'eh, who wants to duel me?" He boomed out in an arrogant voice.

Everyone seemed to shake there heads, everyone except for Shi of course, he was always a show off, ever since he had been little.

"I'll battle you sir, but whats in it for us?" Shi said cheekily.

"You won't have a quiz today." Mr Reges chuckled in reply.

"Fine, lets duel!" Shi shouted out enthusiastically.

 

Mr Reges: You draw first kid.

 

Shi: Fine, I draw. Heh, this is a pretty good hand... I summon newborn phoenix on my field, a pretty puny monster on its own [ATK 0, DEF 0], but its the effect that make this card deadly, with it i can summon any 4 star monster from my deck, i choose flame-tounged beast; not that this matters as i tune them together to reveal Loyal Noble of the Flame, Synchro summon! [ATK: 2600 DEF: 2400]. With its effect no FIRE monsters can be selected as targets for spell or trap cards. I set a card and end my turn.

Mr Reges: Pretty good move kid, but its not good enough for me. Time to end this... I summon Deadly Earthshield. With his effect i can fill the rest of my field with defense position earth tokens, with 0 DEF and ATK each. That'll stall you, also i activate earthquake, and these cards gain 500 ATK for every earth monster on the field, which is 5 each, so these tokens each have 2500 ATK and DEF, not enough to destroy your synchro i see, but i also activate Sanctuary, all EARTH monsters gain 500 ATK and DEF. I now end my turn, but this'll be your last turn left alive...

Shi: Woah, nice combo you got there old man. Oh god im gonna lose... THERE YOU GO AGAIN! Stop thinking so negatively, besides he is a fully trained proffesional... I set 2 cards and end my turn...

Mr Reges: As i said, this is your last turn, i switch all of my monsters into attack position, my first token destroys your synchro, and my other 4 hit you directly, thats game!

[shi:][LP:0][Lose]

 

"Heh, not such a surprise, i am a proffesional!" Mr Reges boomed annoyingly.

"But you stood up to me, so no quiz for you guys!" Mr Reges then announced.

Everyone cheered, even Shi; he might have been a show off but he wasn't a sore loser.
