He eventually walked into the entrance to a huge cavern."My God, what a massive cavern. It must have been carved out by the gods themselves."Then he heard a rumbling sound. A couple of Zerglings unburrowed and charged him. Ryouji beat off one with his shield and cut up the rest."It seems the commander was correct about these beasts hiding in the dirt." I'm going to assume its the Zerg Ultralisk and have my guy engage it in a battle of epic proportions.IC: Ryouji saw the monster charge the female soldier. His chivalrous instincts kicked in. He dashed towards Dare and pushed her out of the way, managing to block the monster immediatly after."Stay back and I'll destroy this beast!" Ryouji shouted as he held back the massive girth of the monster. He roared and pushed the monster back a few metres. He raised his sword and saw the visage of the monster. Its massive sythe-like claws opened to reveal its hideous face."An Ultralisk? What's one doing here?"The Ultralisk opened its mouth and emitted a sonorous roar that shook the very cave. He experimentally tossed a ball of flame at it, and scowled when the fire left nothing but a small scorch mark. He tried his other elements, but found they worked just about as well. He sighed. "Why does it always come to this?" He muttered, and ran after the soldier he had seen before; Ryouji. "You! Make a pact with me!" He yelled, holding out his arm. "Just take my hand. Hydra of Ages Posted June 16, 2009 Report Share Posted June 16, 2009 Sollus smirked slightly, and then fell backwards.Well, the majority of people would have seen him fall back, as if in a comatose-like state upon his hand touching Ryouji's. The warrior himself, however, was able to see as a transparent Sollus jumped out of his own body, clothing replaced with a plain, flowing white garb. What power is this?!"Ryouji rushed back to the entrance to the cavern where the marines resided and put Sollus' body down."Keep this safe."Ryouji went back into the fray. The Ultralisk was still reeling from the massive fireball that Sollus' threw, which hit the top of his face. Ryouji focused and disappeared in an explosion. At the same moment, the Ultralisk's stomach, expanded and burst. Ryouji came out of the mess and jumped back into the Ultralisk, slashing its innards. Hydra of Ages Posted June 16, 2009 Report Share Posted June 16, 2009 Sollus glanced at the flying Ryouji, and flashed out one of his hands; immediately a wave of Psychokinetic energy grasped the fly warrior, slowing him down until he could stand again. Nodding slightly, Sollus knelt and jumped, a somehow managing to propel himself up almost to the top of the cave. He made a couple hand signs, then nodded to himself, holding out a hand; Immediately, a massive wave of electrical energy pulsated from the palm, zapping the massive monster with a great bolt of lightning. He landed back on the ground gracefully, apparently not even noticing the great height he had descended from. He frowned as he noticed the vicious-animal like creatures; Noise. While they were only mild annoyances to his ESP while in his body, they were potentially dangerous if they group together while he was in Astral form. He got Sollus' body and pushed his body into his soul, returning Sollus' to his orginal form."Take care of the little ones, I'll take the big one."Ryouji jumped onto the Ultralisk's face, which was stunned due to the lightning frying its nervous system. He took his sword and slashed into the beast's eyes, entering the cavity he made. He continued to slice through the Ultralisk's skull, which then exploded as Ryouji teleported out of its skull. The beast could not move without its head, so its body fell from the punishment, creating a thunderous rumble. He glanced around, and noticed one of the Fox Noise, that had been sniffing around him eagerly earlier. It turned around and was trying to stalk away, but didn't expect Sollus to suddenly grab it, yelling out in anger and pain. Sollus quickly crushed the creature in his palm, turning it into a small orb of shimmering energy, even visible to normal humans; Then, holding it close to his body, he emmitted waves of flame from it, using it to burn away the Smaller Zerglings with what looked like no effort. After clearing all the smaller enemies from the room, he glanced over at the fallen warrior, and walked over. Hydra of Ages Posted June 18, 2009 Report Share Posted June 18, 2009 OOC; Too be fair, even things that big aren't immune to having their intestines ripped out while stunned by a gigantic Fireball/Thunderbolt. Sollus chuckled, flicking a lock of hair away from his head. "It wasn't particularly difficult." He said casually. Truthfully, he probably could have taken it alone in his Astral Form, given adequate time. After all, it was quite difficult for a physical enemy to hurt him in that far (though definitely not impossible). Unfortunately, he needed a partner to use Astral Form, and when his partner couldn't use ESP, he attracted violent Noise by the hundreds. While normal Noise were generally no problem, enough in one spot could fuse into a Canor, and provide a REAL threat, even to non-Psychics. (Unlike normal Noise, Canors didn't care about who they attacked; As long as they had a smidgen of negative energy in them, they'd consume them like gigantic predators).
