Lazarius, the Catman

[spoiler=Effect]This card is also treated as a Spellcaster-Type monster. Once per turn, you can discard 1 Monster Card to gain Life Points equal to the Level of the discarded monster x 200. When this card is targeted by a card effect your opponent controls, you can discard 1 card from your hand to negate the card's effect and place it on top of your opponent's Deck and place 1 Heal Counter on a face-up monster you control. When a monster with Heal Counters on it is removed from the field, you gain 500 Life Points for each Heal Counter on it.

Hope you like it.

I think it could've just been a Spellcaster-type to begin with, since Beast-Warriors... nobody cares about them.

1500 ATK, all the associated search-out abuse.

Discarding for Life Point gain, an okay effect.

The negation effect is pretty sick. For a no-Tribute monster, this effect is relatively intense. A lot of monsters that pack a self-protection ability that not only protects itself, but punishes the user of the card [by bouncing the card, doing damage, etc] is normally seen in higher-level monsters.

The fact that it requires a discard is relatively balanced, but there are even fewer effects that spin cards back to the Deck under self-protection. I wouldn't bother using a targetting effect to take care of this, but if I wasn't holding a monster with higher ATK or a non-targetting card, it would put me in a bad position.

The Heal Counter part of the protection effect is pretty mediocre in comparison to locking out your opponent's next Draw with the same failed card. If you draw on your next Draw Phase, you still have a discard for his negation effect next turn. Your opponent is stuck not playing anything and taking attacks until they draw something to get rid of it with.

It's a good card, some Life Point gaining variants might like it.

9/10.

Fix:

This card is also treated as a Spellcaster-Type monster.

I agree with Skyson about making it a Spellcaster to begin with.

Pic is alright.
