Ancient Gear Supprt Set

Hi everyone, I'm new and I really like Ancient Gear monsters, and I felt thaey could use some more support monsters.... So here is my Ancient Gear Support (AGS) set. Most of the cards don't have pictures, so if you guys find something relevant I would appreciate giving it to me. Also, criticism is welcome. I will update this post with new cards.

Card Name: Ancient Gear Emperor

Card Type: Monster/Effect

Attribute: Earth

Type: Machine

Level: 8

ATK/DEF: 3500/3500

Card Text: This card cannot be Special Summoned. This card can only be Sumoned while "Geartown" is on your side of the field. The effects of your opponent's monsters that this card destroys by battle are negated. If this card attacks, your opponent cannot activate any Spell or Trap Cards until the end of the Damage Step. During battle between this attacking card and a Defense Position monster whose DEF is lower than the ATK of this card, inflict the difference as Battle Damage to your opponent. This card gains 300 ATK for every "Ancient Gear" monster in your Graveyard.

ATK/DEF: 2500/2500

Card Text: This card cannot be Special Summoned. If this card attacks, your opponent cannot activate any Spell or Trap Cards until the end of the Damage Step. If this card destroys a monster while "Geartown" is on your side of the field, you can send this card to the Graveyard during your End Phase to Special Summon "Ancient Gear Golem" from your deck, ignoring the Summoning Conditions.

Card Text: Once per turn, you can equip this card to a monster with "Ancient Gear" in its name you control, OR unequip it to Special Summon this card in face-up Attack Position. While equipped to a monster by this effect, the monster can only be destroyed by battle. (A monster can only be equipped with 1 Union Monster at a time. If the equipped monster would be destroyed by battle, this card is destroyed instead.)

ATK/DEF: 0/1800

Card Text: Once per turn, you can equip this card to a monster with "Ancient Gear" in its name you control, OR unequip it to Special Summon this card in face-up Attack Position. While equipped to a monster by this effect, if the monster destroyed your opponent's monster as a result of battle, it can attack once again in a row. This effect can be used once per turn. (A monster can only be equipped with 1 Union Monster at a time. If the equipped monster would be destroyed by battle, this card is destroyed instead.)

Card Type: Spell/Continuous

Card Text: This card cannot be Set. You can only activate this card by sending, from your side of the field, "Ancient Gear Castle" with two or more counters. If this card would be destroyed, you can discard 1 monster with "Ancient Gear" in its name from your hand instead. All monsters with "Ancient Gear" in their names gain 500 ATK and 800 DEF. When a monster with "Ancient Gear" in its name is attacked, you may switch it into Defence Position until the end of the Damage Step.

Card Name: Ancient Gear General

Card Type: Monster/Effect

Attribute: 8

Type: Machine

Level: 3

ATK/DEF: 0/1800

Card Text: This card cannot be Special Summoned. When this card is Normal Summoned or Flipped Summoned, it is changed to Defence Position. As long as there is one "Ancient Gear" monster on your side of the field (except Ancient Gear General), this card cannot be selected as an attack target. As long as this card is face-up on your side of the field, all "Ancient Gear" monsters you control gain 500 ATK.

Card Name: Gear Fusion

Card Type: Spell/Continuous

Card Text: This card can only be activated if "Geartown" is on your side of the field. Select 1 Fusion Monster from Extra Deck. Send, from your hand or Deck, monsters listed on the selected Fusion Card to the graveyard and Special Summon the selected Fusion Monster, ignoring Summoning restrictions. If this card is removed from your side of the field, destroy the selected monster. On the fourth Standby Phase after this card was activated, send this card to the Graveyard bu do not destroy the selected monster.

Card Name: Gears - Combine!

Card Type: Spell/Normal

Card Text: This card can only be activated while "Geartown" is on your side of the field. Tribute "Geartown" along with 1 more "Ancient Gear" card to Special Summon any "Ancient Gear" monster from your deck, while ignoring all Summoning restrictions.

These are good for a new member, but:

 

i) Get pictures for all of them (if you can't post them in Written Cards) and pictures with backgrounds

ii) There are some minor OCG errors. Just check the OCG thread or the Yu-Gi-Oh wikia to see where you're going wrong.

 

Overall: 7/10 for the moment

There are so many cards that I can't even correct the OCG. Its generally okay.

Don't make 12 stars (referring to the first card).

Remove all of the pictures and post these in Written Cards.

Altogether: 7/10[/align]

Very good cards for a new member, as others have said.

The OCG isn't golden, but hey, at least it's understandable. Check the OCG thread an read up to give your cards a nice, grammary sheen.

The picture quality, isn't the best, so in the future, until you have some good quality images with backgrounds, you can always post the effects down in the "written cards" section for critique.

A 7.5/10 for solid effort.

Emperor is pretty broken (why has no one said that already?) a one sac whose base attack is 3500 but can get stronger and pierces and he makes sure that there is no mirror force or D-prison so if you do not stop him at the summoning then you are pretty much s.o.l.

 

Prototype is decent but if is on the field then its a no sac 2500 that can prevent spell and traps from activating.

 

Its seems out of all of the Ancient Gear support you made I only think few cards would actually make the set a lot better: Emperor (well of course he is broken), Prototype, Crusher (Cool trade-in target and can be special summoned) and General. You basically made Geartown an even more important card than it already was.

 

I would say you have to nerf down Emperor a bit.
