[spoiler=This copy-pasta does not taste good. I WANT MY MONEY BACK!]

BG is made up entirely of C4Ds and possibly a gradient map.

The render has a pixilated border around it, which looks very bad.

There is no depth or focal point. Nor is there any lighting at all.

Reading tutorials is the best advice that I can give you right now.

where does your eye first go when looking at this?

to somewhere between her eye and the orange c4d.

where should it go? to the girl.

my first advice would be to use some decent backgrounds.

this would include stocks/anime picturea/what not...

secondly, you want to use c4ds in backgrounds very sparingly. by making up your background with c4ds that are bright, you automatically take the focal point away from the render.

thirdly, you must use flow. you have 2 directions of flow in this sig. one flowing with the orange c4d, the other with the girl.

fourthly, depth and blending are your friends...use then. without depth, your sig automatically looks hastily done/not as good as it could be .

without blending, like on this sig, the render sticks out to much. add effects over and under your render, to achieve blending.

tl;dr
