I feel that he's fair at 1, the only real problem I ever had with him is due to his summoning requirement you could easily summon 3 of him in one turn off of the same 3 Darks in your grave. At 1, he's not that big a deal at all and actually is a pretty fair card, imo.

It's summoning condition are still laughable as ever and rewards players who simply throw DARK Attribute monster cards to their graveyard. Geez, that is so hard to do. Also, if DAD hits the field, it's pretty much already game, since DAD just blows your protection up without giving up any hand or field advange.

 

Its a dragon not worth the time. It's effect is lame and has no fail safe if countered when summoned. I find it very lame. and it's only 2800 for that matter. Very not worht it.

And at one you're always going to draw him when you have 3 darks in the grave? I really don't see that happening. Its not as big as a problem it once was, unlike F**i*g Judgment Dragon...God I hate that card. Anyway yes DAD effect is broken, but his deck is not much of a problem anymore, so he ok at 1.

There is no such thing as a broken card that doesn't deserve to be banned. The very title of "broken" means that it serves the game best by being at 0. No amount of meta changes can change that fact.

 

Anyways, DAD is one of the most broken monster cards ever released. It's just gone from its own deck to being a lucksack card in all decks that have enough DARKs to justify running 1.

-my response to the bold: It doesn't really matter if you draw him when you have 3 DARKs in the grave, it depends on whether you draw him or not. DARK decks have tons of ways to add DARKs to the Grave and remove DARKs from the grave, so it can almost always find a way to get to exactly 3 DARKs. You probably don't know of the existence of this card:

-my response to the italics: So you think it was a good idea to limit DAD, E-Tele, DHero Malicious, and RotA just to try to weaken DAD? I personally would have just said: ban DAD and either Destiny Hero Malicious or E-Tele (but that second part's another debate). The limiting of all the other cards just served to weaken the deck and kill many other decks. DAD should be just be banned. Just limiting tons of other cards won't work effectively.
