Sid.
This is something that i want to bring up. You cant constantly say that their is no god, that everyone who thinks there is a god is a fool and is ignorant. People believe there is a god because they THINK there is, and some people THINK there isnt. It is impossible to prove either points. Someone prove me wrong, without saying that im being stupid because i dont follow what you think. The fact is that people can think what they want, so dont enforce what you think. Felix Culpa
Okay, atheists on this forum, answer me this. Why do you feel emotionally angered when you see someone mention God. Big deal. We mention our God or gods, and you mention your disbelief. So, who cares if we send our problems away to some divine being that may or may not exist? I don't. Jericho
The reason theists are called ignorant and arrogant is because they believe without any actual proof, and they reject anything that doesn't align with their belief. Just because I can't prove God doesn't exist doesn't mean he does. You can't prove God does exist so obviously he doesn't. The only difference between the stories of the Bible and the fairytales told to children at night before they go to sleep is that they are threated with eternal suffering if they don't believe the former. Though I am an atheist, I belive that the Bible does teach some important lessons, though most are not to be taken literally.

That doesn't follow any logical pattern, which is exactly my argument against theists. Theists use extremely illogical arguments. They can't even be called arguments. As one ridiculously delusional creationist once stated, you want to, in argument with evolutionists, "Circumnavigate or go around their intellect". Seriously. Around March 2009, a dam was destroyed in a village everything near the dam was swept. But nobody knows why, a mosque, a place where Muslims pray together, that is located very close to the dam, was really fine. It looks like the water didn't hit the mosque. But the buildings around it were damaged. Google "Situ Gintung". You'll find the incident I'm talking about. Well, you might find Indonesian pages if you Google it since it took place at Indonesia. I am irreligious, but I am not agnostic, I am a secular humanist. I see the idea of religion - including atheism - and the debate of it, as a waste of time, as humanity has enough problems. Father Wolf: I don't think everything exploded from nothing. I believe nothing is real. Frunk, I think that religion is one of the problems that needs to be eliminated in order for the human race to progress. If you look back, religion dominated for about 1700 years until people finally realized that the world was actually governed by the laws of science. The Dark Ages were a product of religion. Frunk
Yes, well, I suppose if we get rid of one of the two sides, we'll eliminate that conflict. :) How one would do so is what I wonder. Also, for a random fact, the Dark Ages were actually called so, as for that long period of time, quite literally, it was rather dark in most of Europe.
